reneé: sign me the fuck up. can't think of a more perfect place for a reunion. i'm gonna get you some cute merch, too. you'll get the full experience and then we'll catch up. you better not leave a thing out either cause i need that full recap. it's been that damn long.

jacob: the way i was called into work and i was unable to come to madrid. fuck my life. just when i thought i was free, they needed me for voice-overs. this is the loss of my life. however, we're still having those drinks and i'll be wearing your merch, just somewhere less cool than madrid. how was the show?? did you break any hearts?

MADELYN: and i'm obviously not going to make promises i can't keep. there's a slight chance i might poke fun at you, but just know it's basically a love language at this point. MADELYN: and as you should. i can only imagine being cast as a red flag requires some kind of grounding after a while. rooting for you.. not sure, but go on. MADELYN: ...surprise, surprise. imagine that being sing songed. i wouldn't exactly say there's anything wrong with you, jakey. i just think you're not great with silence for more than a few weeks at a time. which is funny, considering you always claim lone wolf as your main personality trait. MADELYN: i'm going back to LA in a few days. i'm currently in milan, but you best believe i'll head straight to your place when i land. forget jet lag, we don't know her anyway. MADELYN: i do have something we can do together, though. there's this clothing store next to warner bros studios that has movie and tv outfits dating back to the 70s, and i was thinking we could go get lunch first, then do a little movie montage where we dress up as movie couples. what do you say?

JAKE: i should've guessed this would be your reaction. though, if you weren't making fun of me for one thing or the other, i'd be concerned that something was terribly wrong with you. JAKE: even without the nathaniel of it all, i really have been working non-stop for like three years and i was burning out so fucking fast. JAKE: is my brain just conditioned to being on the go now? silence and having no one around used to be my greatest indulgence but now i can barely make it a week at home alone without losing my mind. i'm a terrible introvert. JAKE: i ended up flying to australia for a few days to spend my birthday with family and escape the silence but if you're back in town now, we should hang out. how was milan?? JAKE: would i really fit into 70's style clothes though? i'm easily taller than most people were then but if that's what you wanna do, we're doing it. just don't laugh when i'm flailing trying to any of those outfits on.
