This is a super cool intro post
Hello! My name is Mantises or Mantis! I don’t really use any other social media to post anything, as I have deleted my socials to try and stop doom scrolling (As embarrassing as it is, it has not stopped me… they should really allow you to turn off shorts on YouTube). I do think it’s quite funny that I misspelled my own username upon the creation of this account 😭. I got really excited and thought no one else had taken this username.
I joined Tumblr maybe close to a year ago in an attempt to promote my art more. I was doing commissions for a little while but it became super draining. I was making art, that I did not want to make, and I ended up not creating much for myself anymore. I’ve been stuck in an on and off art block for the last 2 years at the time of making this post. If I end up enjoying the platform here, I’ll possibly make an intro every year.

Interests/Fandoms!!
If you couldn’t tell by my profile, I’m apart of the Furry Fandom! I’ve been in the fandom since I was 9 years old. I found out what they were by my friend informing me that her brother hated furries and wanted to kill them 💀. I did not know what those were so I did some research and was obsessed.
I was also extremely involved in the FNAF Fandom!! I’ve been into Five Nights at Freddy’s since I was 7. I would make drawings of the animatronics, watch my goat MatPat, and watch animation memes/animated series about my favorite ships. This is a special interest of mine for sure. Although, I’m not the biggest fan of the stuff SteelWool has been making. I’m not hating but I definitely think Security Breach and Secret of the Mimic would be better as their own timelines, rather than connected to my old shitty conglomerate of lore.
I absolutely ADORE Minecraft. I’ve been playing that masterpiece of a game since I was 5 or 6 years old. I also played a little bit of MCSM around that time too. I must admit that I’ve been dabbling a bit in MCSM lately… especially fanart… *COUGH* jesstra… A lot of my childhood revolved around Minecraft. I would watch Stampy and DanTDM all the time (until I got grounded from watching them, my parents thought their voices were annoying).
SCOTT PILGRIM. I was embarrassingly fixated on this for a solid 2 years. My friends would not get the peace of having me shut up for 2 very long years. I became extremely fixated when Scott Pilgrim Takes Off came out. I am the #1 Roxie Richter fan istg. After her backstory in SPTO I was sobbing. I love and kin her heavily bro… Actually it’s really funny, the Scott Pilgrim comics are how my partner and I even started dating. That makes it all the more special tbh.
