Hypersexuality as a symptom of bipolar disorder during a manic episode isn't talked about enough. Especially the after affect when said episode comes to an end and you're left with nothing but the feeling of absolute disgust, shame, and embarrassment.
It is not a personality trait or something to parade and be proud of. It is a disorder that impacts many things and causes lots of distress and anxiety, disrupting daily routine. Your relationships with the people around you can be affected in ways you couldn't even imagine possible, or even with the law.
Stop fetishizing and minimizing it.

You'd think that becoming part of a community again and finally making friends would be a positive thing for once.
I was in such a good fucking mood and talking with friends on call, actually participating and speaking, when I just completely fold at nothing.
It was like I was never meant to be there in the first place, I felt so wrong being there. Like I didn't deserve it or that maybe there's just something about me that doesn't belong.
I couldn't even bring myself to say goodbye, just leaving suddenly with no warning.

The fact that a close friend of mine said I was weird for refusing to date anyone at the moment cause I know I'm not stable enough, is fucking crazy.
If you are not able to realize when you aren't ready for a relationship or if you just don't care about how it could affect your partner, I'm assuming you're either emotionally unintelligent or manipulative.
And the people who say they need to be in a relationship to keep themselves happy: YOU are the one's who need to NOT be in a relationship at all until you get your shit together.
Your partner is not supposed to be your crutch, your complete emotional support, your soul source of happiness, or your reason to stay alive. That is an immense amount of stress and pressure that no one is forced to deal with and you must realize that.

Here's a reminder that the 'creator' of the sunset lesbian flag, Emily Gwen Morris, is an e-begging thief.
Not only did they literally just rip the design from here (posted July 3rd 2017, screenshot can be found at the bottom of this post) and claim it as their own original design in 2018, but they use the fact that they 'made it' to beg for money on Twitter.
She gets many donations to her Ko-fi daily, especially when they decide to get back on the e-beggar grind of posting a picture of a negative bank balance every other week.
11 days ago, October 23rd, roughly 129 people donated most likely $5 at least to her Ko-fi. That is 5-6 donations an hour, around $645+ in a day. Again people usually donate $5 as it is the minimum option they give you without having to edit the amount yourself manually.
You can scroll forever and will be met by hundreds of thousands of donations made to them.
"The lesbian who designed the flag is homeless and needs your help."
Some people who have donated only did so to get their message on their Ko-fi page, stating that they're taking advantage of people and their kindness and/or ignorance. You can find many of said donations just by scrolling down a few times.
Emily Gwen Morris is a jobless 29 year old who grifts off of a design she stole, and likely is paid over $100+ daily in donations yet somehow consistently has -$100+ in her bank account.
I think mental illness being a dealbreaker in a friendship or relationship is absolutely valid. Especially if both parties are dealing with their own problems. Being around people who are struggling can negatively affect you too.
No one owes you their time or energy.

How do I explain that when I say manic, I don't mean impulsively dying my hair or painting my nails.
I mean downing an entire bottle of pills because I think I'm invincible and telling fire and rescue that if they take me in I'll send people after each and every one of them.
Not exactly a cute and quirky little personality trait like people tend to make it out to be.
I do not excuse my bad behavior despite my mental illness and neither should you, take accountability for your actions.

You cannot say you're for mental health awareness or acceptance if you do not think you are still responsible for your actions.
If you use your mental health as an excuse or a weapon, you are not part of the cause.
Acknowledge you've hurt people if you have and own up to it, apologize to those who deserve it.
No one is entitled to do anything for you, to care for you, to take any heat from you.
And no one is entitled to forgive you either.
Coming to terms with those things may be hard but you are no better than an abuser if you think people don't deserve an apology after you've harmed them, intentionally or unintentionally.
I do not excuse my bad behavior despite my mental illness and neither should you, take accountability for your actions.
The mischaracterization of psychosis is genuinely disheartening--most in part due to the fact that people hear "psycho" and think killer, aggressive, insane, cruel, maniac.
Being psychotic or having psychosis isn't a trait to describe or explain evil actions done by evil people.
Psychosis can be :
Unable to tell what is or isn't real
Wondering if the people around you are going to harm you
Scared that you're not in control of your own body
Being constantly told that what you think is happening is wrong or all in your mind
Not being able to trust the closest people in your life
Feeling as though you're unable to understand information around you
Sporadic thoughts and feelings that just can't stop, sending your mood sky high and rock bottom in rapid succession
Suddenly worrying that if the person you're talking to even exists
Unable to move, like some force is holding you down or like your mind can't control your muscles
Seeing something constantly in the corner of your eye
Watching things appear, move, or disappear and not knowing why
Asking people if they were the ones talking to you and them looking at you weirdly as they don't know what you're talking about
Losing friends because they think you don't care for them
Hurting yourself to prove that you're real, because you don't even know if you are
Smelling something so awful and consistent it makes you physically sick, yet no one else can smell it
Calling the cops thinking that someone is in your house and ending up being the one in handcuffs being driven to the hospital
Believing that someone you love was killed and replaced by an imposter or was possessed
Wondering whether or not someone put toxins or chemicals in your water, making you refuse to bathe or drink anything
Guessing if that blood curdling scream you hear outside your window is someone truly in danger or your mind playing tricks on you again
Tearing your house apart thinking there's hidden cameras and secret microphones, falsely finding one and being convinced it was planted by an unknown person out to get you
Being arrested for falsely accusing someone of stealing in a store, later having to see yourself on camera in an interrogation room yell at nothing in an almost empty shop while also watching as you are the one who put the "stolen item" in your own bag
Not realizing what it is you're doing that is the reason for your own unhappiness
Thinking that something was just a nightmare only for it to be proven to be very real and having extremely heavy consequences
Having to be taken against your own will and brought to an unfamiliar place, put in an unwelcoming room, told by unknown people that you can't make any decisions for yourself because you aren't competent enough to do so
Being convinced that you're evil, not human, the reason the world could end, and the only way to stop yourself from destroying earth itself is by dying
These are only the things I personally have experienced, and it's not by any means an extensive list of everything I've been through.
