Sam and Max have been playing Soccer together since they were kids. So when Dam was offered to sign on to a Professional Soccer Team he had one condition- Max had to be hired too! However, how long will Max be happy to be stuck on the bench?

I'm not the biggest fan of the AU I drew yesterday where they're the opposite to their characters- all clean cut and quiet. So down below, I will put the AU I've been thinking about today at work instead

Sam doesn't consider himself much an actor, but Granny Ruth asked him to help her friend while he was taking a break from his pet washing gig. So he was an actor.

Except it seems like actors and actresses are disappearing off set. So he is on the case to figure out where these thespians keep going. Alongside this weird rabbit guy hired for a sex scene in the movie after 6 other actresses have disappeared.

Academia AU

Sam became a professor in Criminal Investigations due to his long-time learning in college. And it was going fine until one student tried to seduce him for a better grade.

When going undercover, it's important not to draw attention to yourself. Discretion is key. Blending in to the crowd as often as able, and staying unnoticed

The shattering of a tower of plates doesn’t help that goal, nor was it Max’s intent when he slammed open the door to the kitchen. He didn’t flinch at the sound of ot, even as several maids in the kitchen area shrieked shrilly and clattering could be heard around the room.

“…are you okay?” One maid asked. Max turned to her.

She wasn’t a human. Her white muzzle, with a brown nose that seemed almost heart shaped, gave herself away. If the floppy triangle ears didn’t, that is. The dog girl stepped towards Max slightly before warily looking at the shattered glass on the floor.

“I’m alright.” Max said, gently brushing the shards around him away with his foot. “But this is sure to take a chunk out of my paycheck.”

He heard the click of heels rushing towards him from behind, and instinctively curled up to swing when another maid rushed in.

She burst in, but skittered to a stop when she saw the porcelain pieces scattered all over the floor around Max. Her tail was fluffed up, the brown fur standing clear on end. A squirrel.

He looked at the other maids standing around. A chameleon peeking over a table, an elegant white cat pressed against a large chicken, and the dog who had asked if Max was okay. Anthropomorphic animals.

He knew him and Sam weren’t the only ones, but to see others that weren’t them or Granny Ruth, well. He felt almost unsettled. But it made sense how they could fit in amongst that wealthy bastard’s staff.

“What in tarnation is going on here?!” the squirrel shrieked, and all the girls and Max seemed to flinch. Nails on chalkboards would be a kinder sound on the ears.

“Uhm-“ the dog spoke, clinging to her skirt with wide eyes. “It was an earthquake!”

“…An earthquake?”

”I’m surprised you didn’t feel it” the cat purred out, smoothing her dress while keeping her eyes down, hidden under her curled bangs. “Scared us all half to bits.”

“Really?” The squirrel asked, putting her hands upon her hips and looking around the room until her eyes landed on the Chicken. “Rudadendron, is this true?”

The chicken- Rudadendron- swung her head around, her wattle swinging with it. Her eyes were wide but she nodded wordlessly.

“Well- clean up this mess, all of you!” The squirrel yelled, just as shrill as before. “We can’t let nature ruin our Master’s mansion!”

With that, she spun out of the room, the clicking of her heels slowly growing quieter as she was on her way, likely to terrorize some other unfortunate maids elsewhere.

“Is today your first day, darling?” The cat purred out, tossing a broom effortlessly to Max, who simply nodded. “What an unlucky start to your first day!”

“It’s not gonna ruin this whole shebang…” Max spoke, catching the broom with his sharp grin. “Especially now that the nag is gone”

“Madame Eleanor is always like that,” the dog spoke, smiling at Max. “But she usually goes off to another part of the castle after a quick tirade!”

“Pepper is right.” The cat continued, placing her paw on the dog- Pepper’s shoulder. “Most of the rest of us maids are much more relaxed than her. I’m Jewel, by the way.”

“Fitting name…” Max murmured, sweeping the glass pieces into a clumsy little pile. Usually, he’d just shove it under some unsuspecting furniture, but it looked like he wasn’t the only maid who had forgone shoes.

“Rudy, will you help her out?” Jewel called out, and the chicken was soon helping Max with her own broom, followed by Pepper with the dust pan. Jewel moved the plates that hadn’t fallen off the table but were knocked askew from the door slam.

“What’s your name, then?” Pepper asked as the last of the shards were swept up. She tilted her head with the question, like Sam sometimes does. Must be a dog thing.

“Max.” He answered, before staring down at the dress. It felt uncomfortably tight for some reason.

“Are you still worried about Madame Eleanor, Miss Max?” Rudy asked, putting a wing on Max’s shoulder, even more noticeable when he winced.

“No, just… not quite comfortable with the Miss thing…” Max answered, pulling at his dress with a scowl. Rudy didn’t pull her wing away, nodding.

“I didn’t like being called a ‘sir’ when I was still a butler.” Rudy spoke, squeezing his shoulder in a comforting way. “I can call you sir when Madame Eleanor isn’t around, if you want.”

“I’d appreciate that” Max answered, clicking his broom against hers with a softer smile. Pepper tapped her broom against the pile with a radiant smile, the part of her tail not hidden by dress showing a slight wag.

“You’re safe here, little man” Pepper cheered out, and even Jewel seemed to be nodding. When Max glanced off towards the back of the room, the chameleon held her hand out with her thumb up before returning to her floor scrubbing in the back of the kitchen.

“Alright, dearies!” Jewel clapped, as if to punctuate her statement with it. “Max, let me show you where everything is and get into what our duties are in here”
