i tried to piece together the canon/legends major historical events on Naboo prior to the prequels in order to create a coherent timeline all in one place. this is mostly just for my own reference, but i really hope it can be useful to others for whatever reasons!!! i find that people always neglect the pre-trade faderation invasion time frame when talking about Naboo, but i personally find its more ancient history extremely intresting. i tried to be completly neutral on everything and was pretty superficial, i'm not considering the more cultural aspects here, just the dates and events (i could make a whole post just on its culture though). but i wanted to put all the important dates pre-32 BBY in one place for reference.

around 4000 BBY: Naboo is in an Ice Age. The (possibly native) Gungans are already on planet.

pre 3951 BBY: A reptilian species called the Elders colonizes the planet, leaving behind ruines that the Gungans thought sacred.

3951 BBY: A republic explorer, paid by the queen of Grizmallt, discovers the planet and names it after the godess Nabu.

3900 BBY: Refugees from a rebellion on Grizmallt arrive on Naboo and start the process of colonizing the planet.

3000 BBY: Internal conflict in Gungan cities. Gungan capital is renamed Otoh Gungan.

2900 BBY: The human city of Kaadara was founded and Gungans were hired as defence forces.

2000 BBY: King Narmlé colonizes the moon of Rori.

1000 BBY: The time of Suffering, more than a century of conflicts on all Human Naboo, begins.

867/68 BBY: Naboo joins the Galactic Republic. The date will later be celebrated as The Festival of Light.

830 BBY: Jafan ends the Time of Suffering. Establishes the then-small Theed as his capital and puts his dynasty on the planet's throne.

around 532 BBY: A group of Gungans was lured by a human explorer into becoming slave workers in a new city in Lamaredd.

150 BBY: Human-Gungan conflict begins.

121 BBY: The conflict ends. From now on the position of monarch is elective instead of hereditary.

100 BBY: A group of mercenaries, hired by the highest-ranking human families, attacks the Gungan Grand Army in order to claim plasma sources. The Gungans' efforts resulted in victory, even if with painful losses.

82 BBY: Sheeve Palpatine is born.

65 BBY: Naboo strikes an agreement with the Trade Federation and Damask Holdings, opening up their plasma resources to the galaxy. Sometime Sheeve Palpatine becomes senator (not the exact year but I can't be sure when that was).

46 BBY: Ars Veruna's reign begins. Padmé Naberrie is born.

i like the blue color in this one (to signify he's intrested in chancellorship lol) and the sleeves (me liking the sleeves will be a recurring theme)

i like the design and the contrast in texture between the tunics also his scheming/judging demeanor really elevates it
