Hey there, friends! I don't have anyone to share the joy of the gift I treated myself to.

I finally managed to get one of the items from the "Fairytales Heroes Villains Frozen Elsa & Hans" collection. The collection includes doll sets, a mug, pins, a tote bag… and a notebook.

I managed to get the notebook :

I'm such a huge fan of this gorgeous notebook featuring Elsa & Hans. They look so good.

Just look at the way they're gazing at each other. I'm not going to write in it because it's just too beautiful, but it's definitely going on display on my bookshelf.

Did any of you manage to get any products from this collection? What do you think of the notebook?

Even though the figures aren't exactly stunning, since there aren't many Hans figures out there, I'm happy to have them.

I think it really depends on a lot of factors!!

Admittedly we don't really have any confirmation as to which era the Saja Boys originate from except for Jinu, who if we set the movie in 2025, he was enslaved around 1625.

Thinking about the beauty standards of the time, there hasn't been much change with regards to money equating beauty. When the only way to have lighter skin is to be inside all the time, then it means you must have the money where you don't need to be outside doing the work. And trust me, people were doing the work. People in a village would gather together as a community and farm each other's fields during a good chunk of the day under the sun.

THAT SAID, beauty paled against someone's class, family background, connections, and wealth. Beauty was the very last resort form of achieving social mobility in a society where social mobility was practically impossible, if that makes sense. Even then, beauty could only get you somewhere you might not like.

However, when it comes only to beauty, a neat appearance and hygiene were even more important. Things like cutting your hair, getting piercings or tattoos (which were considered a blemish on the skin), having scars, or birthmarks (specially if they were prominent or highly visible) would make someone "less attractive."

It was important to be beautiful, but never seem to want to be beautiful or do anything to improve one's beauty beyond a little enhancement. (Or at least found out to be doing so.) Basically, if you could get away with it, you could.

Funnily enough, unlike in other parts of the world, the beauty standards for men and women weren't much different. A neat, "clean" appearance, lighter skin, and well-groomed appearance was most important.

There's a reason why Rumi is described as a very traditional type of beauty, with her oval face and straight eyebrows.

With all that in mind, and taking into account how much time has actually passed since the 1660s, the theory that they also come from the Joseon dynasty, and considering the current appearance of the Saja Boys, it's clear that a change in mindset has definitely occurred.

We also have to take into account that we don't know how much is actually in there of their souls/memories/personalities, etc. It seems that Jinu was singled out in the movie on purpose per the directors AMA when the movie first came out, so it's hard to say what's going on in their beautiful heads, you know? We don't know if it was their choice, or something Jinu recommended they wear, or made them wear, or something they chose themselves. The same about original hair colors, eye colors, actual appearance (the closest look is their demon forms, which doesn't say much about what they looked like before.)

We also don't know if they were all humans before being turned into jeoseung saja and if that is canon (i know it's a widespread theory and it does make sense but also like, the directors could choose that Seoul is made of bubblegum actually and we're all in the backrooms, and it wouldn't make any sense, but that would be the canon.)

With all that info, those caveats, and factors considered, and going with that theory then yes, I think in the beginning before they were ever involved with Gwima, they might definitely be if not self, then at least conscious about it. In their handsomeness, they might still be like "i'm good-looking for a PEASANT." I def think the social class, background, family connections, money, is a much bigger thing they might be self conscious about before their looks.

However, the patterns would have def made them feel worse about their appearance a lot quicker than their looks or skin color. Both because of shame, but also the "blemish" thing. By the time we get to 2025, they def don't give a crap about any of that.

1600s Jinu would be horrified at modern Jinu having short hair and piercied ears. 2025 demon Jinu wants to get a lobotomy so... you know... bigger problems.

I'm not Korean, but I have visited Seoul a few times. While I was there, I would get regular public safety alerts — sometimes about a missing person, sometimes about bad weather, and less often but delivered with the same gravitas as the other two, potential missile strikes.

If you're a foreigner visiting, it's alarming, but for the locals, they've sort of grown indifferent to the constant notifications. But in this way, despite the relative prosperity and security, you never forget that there's a thin line between you and group of people who can order mass destruction upon the city.

The honmoon being this fragile thing that separates the human from the "demons." And the "demons" being characterized as those who were once human but made the terrible choice of bargaining with the great soul-sucking demon patriarch, Gwi-Ma... And they're all starving over there? Hmmm...

The story has been criticized for its ending, because what's the point of remaking the honmoon if it's still the same honmoon but with rainbow colors? Maybe it's because the two realms made of practically the same people are still at war, but the rules of engagement have changed over the years. Direct combat has been replaced with showdowns of soft power, as shown with how the hunters and demons now duke it out on-stage instead of on a battlefield.

Cousin: Bitch you have your own fan club, you terrorize your fans on social media by replying to their shipping posts, and you have more money than god. How the fuck are you still this nervous to ask anyone out?"

Zoey: Because they're my bandmates, my best friends and my roommates. I don't want to make things awkward ot weird between us.

Cousin: How long have you lived with these people?

Zoey: seven years?

Cousin: And how do they like their coffee?

Zoey: Mira takes hers with a lot of sugar and milk. She really likes this salted caramel creamer but she'll take whatever. Rumi does too although she prefers tea over coffee, usually an earl grey with two sugar cubes. But if you're talking about frim from a coffee shop Mira gets a frappe every time. Rumi usually gets a mocha although she'll debate between it and the chai latte before settling on the mocha because she doesn't trust them to brew the tea right.

Cousin: Add a mortgage and y'all's non throuple is the most stable marriage in the family.

(Later when he meets Rumira)

Rumi: it's actually a skin condition that flared up

What if all this time we've been headcanoning Celine as the one who kept the demons under control, and it's actually the opposite?

What if Celine and Third had an argument, but the argument wasn't only about Rumi—I believe Third had a hard time accepting Rumi. It was also about Celine not wanting to continue hunting demons after her promise to Miyeong.

Celine still wants to keep the world safe, she's willing to continue a career in the music industry eventually (after she settled down for a couple of years and learnt how to juggle her new life with baby Rumi and the heartache of having lost Miyeong) and train the next generation if she has to. However, she isn't willing to go on dangerous hunts anymore. She can't risk getting badly injured or dying and leaving Rumi all alone. She isn't even willing to leave Rumi alone at night for a couple of hours.

Third tries to make her understand they have a duty to fulfill, and Celine understands but she made a promise to protect Rumi and no-one will be there for her if she dies.

For months Third tries to convince Celine to help her, but Celine always refuses, making Third start resenting Rumi existence even more. Which eventually causes Celine not to trust Third around Rumi anymore —not that she completely trusted her to begin with.

In their last conversation/argument, Third tells Celine she's doing exactly what Miyeong did to them, choosing a demon over her sisters, over her duty. Celine's hurt, because Miyeong's betrayal had hurt. But she made a promise and every day that goes by she's loving Rumi more and more. The idea of losing her, or leaving her alone to fend for herself, paralyses Celine. Third leaves, saying there will come a day she'll regret having chosen a demon over what was right.

This only makes Celine work harder to raise Rumi as best as she can. To make sure Rumi proves Third wrong.

The night of the Idol awards, when the Honmoon is falling apart and Rumi kneels in front of her with more demon traits than ever before, Celine can't stop herself from remembering Third's last words. Still, she once again chooses Rumi because she can't do it. She can't do what Rumi's asking of her, and she needs to make sure Third never, ever, sees Rumi like this. She needs to protect her and help her hide again.

The more Rumi fights her, the more Third's words come back to Celine and she can't look at Rumi, she won't look and accept Third was right. When she hears Rumi's words before she teleports, her world comes crushing down around her, because she knows there will be nothing stopping Third from doing her duty if Rumi destroys the Honmoon.

Mira: (sees a bunch of snacks, doesn't have her glasses) sick (immediately grabs a fucking bag of cookies and a soda)

Rumi: Oh Zoey said she was getting snacks! (grabs a whole candy bar and some gummies)

Zoey: (back late cause she went hunting for the goood goood shit and also hit up some taco trucks) Hey guys- (sees edibles missing) Oh no. Guys! Are you?

Rumi: (laying on her back on the sofa, staring covered in cheeto dust. Her patterns glowing like a mood light) Am I real? what is real? Fuck that'd make a killer song

Mira: (laying on the floor staring at the patterns on Rumi's arm with absolute wonder, still no glasses, giggling) So prettttty

Rumi: I mean we could hire a driver?

Zoey: I told him I was bringing my bandmates and he got so excited.

Mira: Damn Rumi, trying to break an old man's heart?

Rumi: W-what?! No! I just didn't want him to have to deal with all the fans?

Zoey: We're going low profile Ru, we're not flying our plane.

Rumi: *pouts* but our plane is better.

Zoey: Fine we can take our plane to California then catch a commercial flight to New Orleans.

Mira: (snorts as Rumi is still pouting but pouting less) You'll survive princess.

(at the airport)

Zoey: I got to pee, watch the bags. I sent Pawpa a photo so if an old man approaches that's probably him! (runs to the bathroom)

Rumi: (nods and scans crowd) Did she tell us what he looks like?

Mira: (also looking around) She did not. But I mean how hard will it be to spot him?

(a tall older black man wearing blue jeans, cowboy boots and a flannel walks over walks over and waves): (Thick Louisiana Creole accent)Bonjou, mon chers! We'll ain't you two the prettiest things this side the bayou.

Rumi&Mira: (confusion)

Old man: (looks confused) I swore it's you in the picture ma lapin sent? (Scrolling on his phone clearly struggling then reads text) Oh! um (he unbuttons the top of his flannel revealing a huntr/x tshirt he points at it then at them)

Rumi: Oh I'm sorry we're not really doing autographs right now.

Mira: I guess they really have heard of us everywhere

Zoey: (comes zooming out of nowhere and hugs the old man) PAWPA

Pawpa: Mon lapin. Oh Cher (squishes her cheeks gently) You're definitely ya abuelita's granddaughter because just like her you get prettier every time I see ya. (stage whisper) These are the right girls?

Zoey: Yeah these are my bandmates! Mira and Rumi!

(Mira and Rumi wave absolutely baffled)

Pawpa: Well allons, ya'mom'en'them waiting back at the house. (turns around)

Mira: (korean) That's your grandpa?

Zoey: (Korean) yeah? I told you he was Creole?

Rumi: (Korean) we don't know what that word means.

Zoey: Ohhhhh. creole means African and European decent, usually French or Spanish. I told you guys I was mixed? I'm half Korean and other half is a toss up.

Mira: (immediately sees Pawpa and Zoey both have the same 20000 watt smile)Sick

Rumi: So this is where the weird french you use to annoy Celine comes from. (smiles) teach me your ways.

Pawpa: Who's Celine and should I be concerned?
