You ever think about how Luo Binghe, often characterized as someone who kills ruthlessly in fanfiction, has never killed a single person "on screen" in canon. He has no confirmed kills. Even of the people he had all the right to want dead, Mobei-jun and Sha Hualing and the freaking Old Palace Master, he killed none of them. He fought Liu Qingge for years and never killed the man. Even when people blamed him for Shen Qingqiu's death, he wasn't at fault for the core detonation.
Contrast that with Shen Qingqiu, who kills the skinner demon, big hammer demon, suggests burning the sowers, etc...
I get that it's a stereotype that emperors, especially demon emperors, are heavy handed with capital punishment, but Luo Binghe is a LOT more merciful than people give him credit for.

The author's poorly disguised fetish
The author's proudly displayed fetish
The author's fetish you're pretty sure they don't realise they have
The author's fetish which they're firmly convinced everyone has and is just pretending otherwise
The author's non-sexual special interest which just sounds like a fetish because of their habitually unfortunate phrasing
The fetish the author is making a well-meaning effort to cater to in spite of clearly not understanding it themselves
The author's fetish that never quite makes it into the text because they keep getting sidetracked by the requisite worldbuilding
The author's utterly pedestrian sexual preference which the text treats like a bizarre fetish because they've got shit to work through
The author's seemingly innocuous recurring trope they're going to have a personal revelation about ten years down the road
The author's fetish you missed on a first reading because it's so far out of pocket, it never occurred to you that you could sexualise that
the other thing about Internet dogpiling is that it is just not possible to think clearly during the acute stages. itâs so easy to criticize people for responding defensively or tactlessly to mass criticism but I cannot overstate the degree to which your brain becomes a rat in a trap. I think we do have to temporarily recalibrate our expectations in these circumstances and accept that they do not necessarily represent how that person responds to criticism. the skills for self-regulating and reacting to normal interpersonal criticism are not the same skills needed to respond to viral callouts.
So I am unsure what to do about the fact that I am currently playing the third installment in a trilogy of spinoffs to a spinoff of the Megami Tensei series, all of which were released in flip phones in Japanese and have only recently been PRESERVED and are thus entirely untranslated, because not only are all of them good they are so good I mildly want to write fanfic about them??
Anyway watch MarshSMTâs videos aboit Shinyaku Last Bible 1 and 2 and you will understand why I an playing the third to see how they could possibly escalate things
(so far they have succeeded fairly well by having your party members be the kids of the party members from the previous two games although that hasnât been officially revealed but itâs very obvious)
yeah I do technically put my blorbos through a lot but at the same time. it is all so I can then plant a kiss on their little foreheads and wrap them in quilts and give them comfort food and tell them they are not bound by terrible destinies
It will leave you happier and more at peace if you stop trying to monitor and control other people's behaviour online. In an indefinitely large open space like Tumblr, it is simply not possible to have community standards, because you are, in fact, not in a real community with almost any of the people you encounter on this website. There are potentially upwards of a million people on Tumblr alone, and it is a completely porous space, the idea that we are any kind of coherent group is nonsense. On the same point, the idea that any random selection of people who happen to share an interest, fandom, or hobby in a large open space like this make up any kind of real community is also nonsense. The more you can focus on the actual, individual people you interact with online, the people it is possible for you to know and care about, and not trouble yourself with the behaviour of strangers, the more mentally free you'll be (by all means study other people like bugs, though.)

Personally I hate AI because it uses slave labor, is killing the planet and is making people stupid, but that's just me. The soulless art aspect is just one little piece of my grander disdain.
wait how does AI use slave labor? Do you mean the human works that are stolen and not credited or compensated? Because technically under capitalism everything is exploited but there are varying degrees
Aside from the scraping, AI tech companies, including openAI/chatGPT, have outsourced training their models to countries in the global south, specifically Kenya in openAI's case. These workers are working in sweatshop conditions for less than 2 bucks USD per hour. I'm on mobile, but if you search 'openAI Kenya slave labor' and related keywords, you can find multiple articles about it.
Training AI takes a heavy toll on Kenyan workers, who say they earned $2 an hour to label and sift through gruesome content for American com

When I was training to be a battered womenâs advocate, my supervisor said something that really blew my mind:
âYou can always assume one thing about your clients; and that is that they are doing their best. Always assume everyone is doing their best. And if theyâre having a day where their best just isnât that great, or their best doesnât look like your best, you have to be okay with that.â
Any now whenever anyone in my life, either a friend or a client, frustrates me, disappoints me, or pisses me off, I just tell myself They are doing their best. Their best isnât that great today, but I have days where my best isnât that great either.Â
Op Iâd like to thank you for sharing this. Ever since the first time Iâve read it Iâve held it in my mind and it really has helped me to be kinder to others and to myself.
Reblog if you think the person you reblogged this from deserves to be happy.
I donât think we ought to normalize or justify bullying as a means to keep people from being annoying â a sentiment that in and of itself could make for a whole articleâs worth of conversation â but I do think we should make a habit of politely but directly telling people âhey I didnât like thatâ, âthat wasnât funnyâ, âyou are mistakenâ, and the like if itâs called for, and more importantly, you should be able to take a âthat wasnât funnyâ for instance without taking it personally, because protecting a polite harmony where no one can criticize each other, not even politely, is also really, really bad.

you understand that there's nothing wrong with wanting people to pay attention to you, right? it's not intrinsically evil, you are allowed to want to be seen. you can do it in soft and nice and good ways, but you don't even have to. you can just want to be seen.
if you respond to sincerity with "ironic" deflection, people will learn that they can't be sincere with you. do you want people to be sincere with you? you have to be sincere with people.
if you want to be loved, don't play hard to get, make the act of loving you feel good. if you liked it, just say thank you. being embarrassed is cute.
Season 3 ending, hopefully.
