PLEASE do!! there are always going to be new fans who will appreciate it, and veteran fans who are dying for new content and new perspectives. also, less than a year is NOTHING. the original Star Trek series was on TV six decades ago and there are still people losing their minds over it, writing stories and reblogging gifsets daily, and that's only one example.

Why Julie & the Phantoms deserved more seasons:

Amazing music, great characters

It absolutely deserved so many more seasons!!! It ended on a cliffhanger and there were some unresolved storylines, one of which was about two ghost guys who are in love and had to say goodbye and then didn't get to reunite in the first season. I think it was also confirmed that they were gonna get a kiss in season 2 and the actors also really wanted a kiss for them but because the show was cancelled that never actually happened. Also the show had and still has so many fans both children and adults and everyone really wanted a second season. It won 3 Daytime Emmy Awards and was nominated for 10 more. All of the cast and the Director (Kenny Ortega) love the show a lot and really wanted to make more seasons of it and especially the director tried really hard to make a second season happen. When the show was cancelled (which happened a few days before a fan event for the show btw, which is just cruel) everyone was really sad and there were petitions with a lot of signatures and online fan events and letter/email writing campaigns to get the show renewed and so many fans participated in those. Julie and the Phantoms is a comfort show for so many people and I know that it has helped a lot of fans through some really tough times (especially since it came out during covid). It has a beautiful soundtrack with amazing songs and just overall there's so much love and talent in this show and it definitely deserved to get renewed for many more seasons. It also took Netflix a ridiculously long amount of time to actually cancel the show (about a year I think) which I would assume might mean that they were thinking about renewing the show before they decided against it

There was so much potential for this series! A teenage girl fronts a band with three ghosts from the 90's? Such a cool concept, and they only scratched the surface when it comes to the lore!

Why Galavant deserved more seasons:

It was frankly a miracle that this show got it's second season (so much so that the entire opening number to season 2 is about that) so it's no surprise that they never got renewed for season 3, but I still want another season

I be honest, I did not warm up to it, I found it too mean spirited, but I am submitting it for my friend whos internet is spotty, its a musical fantasy comedy in faux medieval times and my friend thinks all the songs are bops

It's a fun fantasy comedy show that's also one of the very few examples of a musical parody/meta that clearly loves and understands the genre it's making light of, instead of just actively shitting on it with very shallow commentary. Imagine "The Princess Bride" and "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", mixed with a 90's disney animated soundtrack/score (made by Alan Menken no less), that's basically the vibe. It's silly, but earnest in it's silliness. It was also set up to have a season 3 and ends on a major cliffhanger, but then it got cancelled due to "lack of viewership". Mind you this was an overall well-received show at the time it came out, and the original cast&crew have constantly talked about wanting to do a third/final season ever since it got cancelled. So much so to the point that I remember there have been multiple petitions to bring the show back for a third season.

It was so funny every single episode, had great songs by ALAN MENKEN, ended on a cliffhanger!

It was a legitimately good comedic musical series. Every song was a banger. It's a love letter to every kind of musical. It's got everything. Swordfighting princesses. Pirates. Dwarves AND giants (that are definitely different heights). Kylie Minogue runs a gay bar in the middle of the forest. An actual dragon. A wedding planner that moonlights as an evil sorcerer. Weird Al and his singing Monks. Timothy Omundsun. Please give us more even though they didn't even expect to get a second season.

She gets crushes on people who could/would never expect sex from her - Nick, while he's in a relationship, and because she knows who he is without having talked to him very much; Luke, who she literally cannot touch for the first season. From personal experience, this is a whole-ass asexual mood, like, they're real crushes but also they're the ones you let yourself dwell on because you'll never need to have THAT conversation

That whole speech to Flynn though about how she and Luke have a special connection and it doesn't matter that he's a ghost

Anyway ace Julie who's maybe still questioning, wondering those "have I found the right one" bullshit questions that get drilled into ace kids, and she's kind of tested the waters talking to Flynn about her crushes and how they manifest but she hasn't come out yet

Ace Julie whose crush on luke helps her solidify the idea that she doesn't need a sexual relationship to be happy with a romance, and he's somebody she trusts will stay in her life no matter what goes down romantically ("when he goes I know he doesn't leave" anybody?)

Not to draw from my own life too heavily or anything but ace Julie who investigates the queer community for herself at first by helping friends navigate their identities and coming outs - the guys need to know what it's like in 2020, she says, cheerfully wandering down a rabbit hole of ace blogs online or something and taking mental notes. Flynn is not convinced because she knows Julie but also she lets Julie come out in her own time because that's friendship folks
