This has nothing to do with it, but lolicon and shota are banned on Dolcord. If an admin sees that your account is linked and you post Dolcord content with that material, they’ll ban you😗. They also do this to people who have TikTok linked to their Discord account and post Dolcord stuff, which is strictly prohibited😌. That’s why you might get banned or have the mods monitor your account🫢. Just to clarify, they won’t ban you for saying you hate a character—you can say you hate Gwylan and everyone will be fine with that😩. The thing is, if they see you harassing people, they might mute you, or if they’ve seen that you’ve sent hateful messages to someone on your linked account, they might ban you. It’s only if you’re a troublemaker.👮‍♂️ Most of the times I’ve seen people get banned, it’s for hate speech, for contributing to mass harassment, or for being minors. 😗

I've been part of the Dol fandom since 2020, but over the last two years I feel like it's grown a lot—though not in a good way, since I've noticed a huge number of minors in the fandom, especially on Twitter and TikTok. And there are creators—who I want to believe are adults—exposing these minors to this trashy game, like, “Dude, seriously? You’re an asshole. On top of that, Vrel has said not to post fan art or game-related stuff on TikTok where there are kids, but a lot of people don’t give a damn.” I’m not in favor of shaming anyone, but it would be good if people could report those videos or edits. this game isn’t for everyone and could be traumatic for a minor. I’ve also seen a lot of malicious comments and defamation directed at people on Twitter regarding Dolcord. The reason Dolcord and Reddit are so chill compared to Twitter is because most people there are adults. I thought we all knew that doxxing people is wrong, and collectively harassing them isn’t an excuse for bullying. I’m talking about the Puri issue and how they always drag him into it even though he’s no longer part of the team. I can assure you that when Vrel released the Sneaky update, there were many Wren fans on Dolcord—myself included—who were disappointed that we didn’t have more autonomy in the dialogue options for “Am I your favorite flower?” We simply wanted more dialogue options. they’ve already changed that because the sneaky comments are meant to provide constructive feedback, and now the PC can respond to that comment. What I feel is the point of Dol is that it feels immersive and doesn’t force players to choose an option or say a line of dialogue that It was out of place.

Ngl, i feel like i have to personally thank you and all the anons because without this blog, i couldn't possibly known that dol was having such a massive drama a few months ago. I'm a casual player, letting it marinate updates until i have the itch. I gotta say, i play dol for the gameplay, the porn was like bonus but even by then, i mostly avoid being rape by characters and even sex (angels pc for life).

Hate the fact that our only other option for a game like DoL is Course of Temptation, which having played it, is certainly more robust in some of its systems, but it suffers a lot from being a slice of life (so the story is painfully dull), and it's more vanilla than pudding. Like c'mon where's the STAKES, where's the SPICE? If you're going to do rumors and reputation aspects at least give me the risk of my parents finding out and throwing me out for my slutdom and thus now having to pay rent while I do school or something.

I'm gonna be so fr, sometimes it feels like DoL is held back by its own dedication to the trauma aspects. I'm not saying the trauma isn't interesting, or people can't be into that. But by adhering so hardcore to it, it feels like the really interesting parts of the writing suffer as a result.

I like to collect merch of my interests (both official and fanmade ones) and even though DoL isn’t even a top interest for me it’s still something I like so I get excited when I see it listed on someone’s convention catalogue but I never end up buying them cause it’s ALWAYS the LIs/NPCs as men. It used to be because I had my own hcs for male and female LIs/NPCs and the artist’s interpretation didn’t align with mine that much but ever since I’ve realized some revelations about myself I find it very difficult to view the characters as anything but women/transfem/nonbinary so at this point I’ll take anything as long as they’re presented that way </3

I’ve always had an on and off relationship when it came to DoL. I’ll fixate on it and obsessively play for like a week or so and then fuck off for months, repeat cycle. shit calls to me like the green goblin mask…

I want to able to "marry" (make a vow) with other characters just to make the angel transformation easier to keep cause only being able to romance Sidney or only being able to be girl on girl with the other characters is annoying at best
