Alpha Strike: Draft

Alpha Strike: Draft Important Note: Players bring a list of units to be shuffled and drafted similar to a TCG Draft/Cube format.This requir
So been working on an idea and we tried it out last night. Will continue to iterate but here's the general gist of how this works.
All players bring a draft-list and a single Champion which they are guaranteed to have. The draft-lists are then shuffled and dealt into hands of equal size, 1 per player. Players go through the general process of "pick-one and pass it on" to their left until all hands are empty.
From here, players field a force using the sideboard assembled from their drafting. We used Wolfnet scenarios to encourage a diverse draft.
For more specifics:
We played with draft lists of 250PV and 7 units.
The champion could be up to 70PV but must be skill 2 or 3
The deployment size was 150PV
Alternative Munitions were in play, along with all specials.
Wolfnet 350 missions used for diversity but I would encourage using a wide range of missions.
Now, after our first trial we are adjusting some values and introducing some new features to add to the experience.
Draft list 250PV -> 300PV
Draft list 7 units -> 9 units
Champion 70PV -> 50PV
Unspent Champion PV will be added to your deployment budget
Deployment budget 150PV -> 200PV
A single formation of [4-6] units, using Formation Building rules can be put together during deployment to receive the bonus
6 Turn limit to all Scenarios
So yeah, that's the first *Draft* of AS:Draft that I'm running at our club.
It's been a hit out the gate, and it encouraged a lot of people to put stuff on the field they normally wouldn't. We saw people new to the hobby get to play with miniatures possibly older than they are! And I even got to see my Skill 2 Urbanmech waddle to glory!
This format had a focus on casual and non-meta play. So I would love to see if anybody else tries this at their club or group and get some feedback!
