Longtime followers might recognize this one from a couple years back (oof), but I decided to give this mech a second pass, as I felt like I hadn't quite done it justice the first time around.
I recently acquired a Goblin Hobbies "Stampin' Plate" which has proven to be very enjoyable to use, so you'll notice I added some lettering to the body and a hazard symbol to the PPC.
Additionally, I tried my hand at some object-source-lighting, and did the jump jets. I think it turned out pretty alright. I also did the base in black and tried to freehand a closeup of the cockpit on the front-facing base side, but it could probably use more detailing than I'm currently capable of.
All in all, a very satisfying redux.

May have made an oopsie. Unthinking, I used acetone to clean some paint off the base of one of my mechs. only remember after I had already done it that acetone also melts plastic. Wiped off what I could, rinsed it under water, and is now sitting in a jar of water. hopefully, that'll salvage it. I am unsure as to how corrosive Acetone actually is, but we'll see if I have a mini or a pool of sludge tomorrow.
Well, that’s one way to simulate battle damage on your minis.
Thankfully, it wasn't on the mini itself, and it didn't end up having any lasting damage to the base.
