Microsoft windows is always like oh yeah, we closed all your programs and restarted your computer while you were asleep. but don't fret ☝️we installed some spyware as a gift 😃
here's where to find it on windows 10
Ugh, it was in mine. It's off now.
IT GETS WORSE
I had to turn this off, but it's something that allows Windows and anyone using your device to generate text/images.
LOBOTOMIZE YOUR MACHINES
AI is a freacking plague, I share this for any windows user.
man, if I see anyone post in an "___ critical" tag it's just an instablock. It's not critique, it's a dogpile. You're either a nazi, a useful idiot for said nazis, or like 13. Not mutually exclusive btw, some of yall are disturbingly susceptible to propaganda.

No spoilers, just themes.
With the finale out now I think a central theme that I've recognized and really adore is "all of these characters are more complex than an audience would appreciate." They are all being squished into a child-friendly set of archetypes, be that by Caine, Jax, or metatextually, the fandom. Caine doesn't want them complaining, swearing or having sex, they just have to go on endless, mindless, youtube-monetizable adventures. He's the ringmaster, he puts them in a bright poppy's playtime ass stage and demands for funny to happen. Meanwhile, Jax doesn't want to address the dire reality of their situation and copes by playing along, treating himself and all the characters as flat archetypes with no internality, so that the elephants in the room can safely be ignored. The fandom, meanwhile, is quietly guilty of all the same things. "Why isn't my favorite character acting in accordance with my headcanon? Which characters are flatly evil so we can hate them? Will they achieve my perfect happy ending? Because if not I'll be mad about it."
It doesn't work. Because they're more complex than that. They're people, they need more, they have emotions and traumas and wants and needs. Ragatha isn't always cheerful, she's not just the mom friend, and she's not some manipulator either. She's a person, trying her best, and very often failing. Pomni isn't always anxious, she's a natural leader and she wants the best for everyone, but she's not perfect either. She's a person, trying her best, and very often failing. And Jax isn't just a villain, he's a very complicated ball of traumas whose consistent first instinct is to push everyone away, hurting others so that he won't get hurt himself. He's a person, trying his best, and very often failing. She might even be a girl. Zooble isn't just a grump, Gangle isn't just a wimp, Kinger isn't just crazy. They're humans. And humans aren't always good. They're messy, screwed up, complicated things. They're things that can't be flattened down to archetypes, no matter how much Caine, Jax, or the fandom wants it.
The fandom wanted a bunch of cookie cutter adventures with good guys and bad guys, but what we got is just a bunch of people, stuck together, their traumas rubbing up against eachother until something catches fire and explodes. And I think that's way more interesting. I'm glad the show is that. I understand not everyone feels that way, though. A lot of people wanted something less nuanced. But I don't think the show not matching your expectations is the show's fault. I think people just need to come at it with the right mindset. Meet the story where it's at.
People are always more complicated than an audience wants them to be.

you all don’t even try to hide your transmisogyny
This is an ancient tactic to handwave feminism in all forms since the beginning of time. "I wont take this feminism stuff seriously until a man tells me how it is." What makes this exceptionally transmysoginistic is that trans women are expected to engage with this criticism like its actually about inclusivity, and not just boring ass regular laughed-out-of-the-room misogyny.
"but the text never explicitly stated it!!!" hey, so that's actually what they tried to teach you in those english classes you barely passed 😁

Forcefem was a huge part of what helped me realize I'm trans and convince me to transition. I would always come across forcefem stuff and think "god, I wish that were me." Then someone told me "cis men don't wish that they were women" and it all clicked.
And I think all these chuds that claim forcefem is "tRaNsAnDrOpHobiC" know that. Especially since the stuff made by trans women makes it extremely explicit that the message is "it's ok to want to be a girl, you don't have to spend the rest of your life in misery pretending to be a man." It's extremely obviously not directed at trans men.
But transmisogynists view any trans woman that actually escapes the eggshell/closet as a tragedy, so they want to stop anything that helps us do so. They'd rather see a million dead closeted trans women than a single one of us happy and thriving as ourselves.
Going through androgenic puberty as a teenager caused me horrific trauma. Especially when my voice changed. If you're not transfem you really don't understand, it's literally body horror as your own voice warps into something you don't recognize.
And when I'm around transmascs excitedly talking about their voices changing that trauma and dysphoria all comes back up. But you know what? I don't say shit because thats a me-problem that has nothing to do with them and they deserve to celebrate finding joy in their transition.
I just wish more of them would afford us the same courtesy instead of telling us to stop talking about the things we do to celebrate our transitions because it makes them "dysphoric." Like forcefem. But, of course, what else is more manly than telling women to shut up in order to make men happy.

alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?

TADC EPISODE 9 / THE LAST ACT SPOILERS
Now that I've had some time to ruminate on it a bit, I think if you don't at least understand why Jax is the way they are, you need to either watch it again or like, cultivate empathy.
Coming out as trans is hard. To both yourself and to others. It is to bare your soul and ask "do you still love me". To show someone the deepest most secret parts of yourself, and be dismissed, laughed at, and then wrapped in a love that says "of course I still love ẏ̶̧͙ǫ̷̲̃̉ü̶͕", it is a fundamental rejection of who you are. That they love the mask, the idea of you more than they love the reality of you. The warmth of that "love" feels as though it burns you.
And then, in this moment of distress, you think you killed her. The logic doesn't matter. The simple possibility that you could have is too much to bear. You bury it, you don't think about it. You wear the mask. You reject all connection, because to connect is to be vulnerable.
Such trauma is not so easily mended. Of course Jax wants to stay in the circus. What lies outside of it for her? She was a homeless black trans woman, with no family to speak of, on the run from police which may or may not be pursuing her. No community. How are you supposed to uplift yourself from such circumstances?
I'm not asking you to like her.
I'm not asking you to forgive her.
But I am asking you to understand her.
