so in the beginning nakamura liked his outside, his naive and cute look, it was the "love from the first sight" cliché. or you can think it is, but it's a lot more interesting and deep than that. nakamura barely knows hirose, so in the beginning we see him just drawing pictures in his imagination how would hirose act, and it was way too different from the real hirose. he was in love more with his own imagination, with just a picture, who looks really similar with the hero of this manga he've been reading. and through the show we see how much changes his vision of hirose since they get a chance to know eachother closer. from a jealous nakamura who's ready to fight with anyone who gets close to hirose, we're getting nakamura crying in the dark thinking ok I'm going to fight FOR HIROSE AND HANA AND THEIR RIGHT TO BE TOGETHER. stopping being such an egoist. i love it.

why did this happen? because he got to know hirose. the real hirose, that a little amount of people is able to see. maybe this amount of people equals zero. honest hirose, vulnerable hirose. true hirose.

so i think he went from liking hirose to loving him madly and deeply and without any egoism. and guess when that happened?

6th episode.

we see that his unrealistic fantasies fade with time. no more second hand embarrassment... and more and more real hirose in his mind.

he went from loving an image, the perfect hirose, to be in love with the real aiki hirose, who wants to be alone sometimes, is scared of dark places and loves romantic movies. when that happened? when they became friends. with time. and effort.

To be fair, it’s pretty one sided lmao. Every time anyone does anything in the book, Ray thinks about Stebbins. Nobody’s died yet? “Stebbins will go first I know it,” Ewing has blisters. “Hmm I wonder if Stebbins has blisters,” brother just say ur not straight. Someone could breathe and Ray would think “I wonder if Stebbins breathes too. He’s different.”

Right after Gribble did it with a girl on the side and Garraty was freaky, Garraty of course thinks of Stebbins and wants to fight him for no reason, like Garraty get a job you have issues

He also is obsessed before he even said anything to Stebbins. Stebbins is just a boy eating jelly sandwiches in the back and he’s literally haunting Garraty’s nightmares

We as an audience are reminded religiously of his suffering throughout the show; there is little to no respite from it.

Having a character experience the horrors every season, continuously stripped of his autonomy, constantly isolated, state explicitly that he will not fall in love, have multiple shots of him longingly observing romance from a distance, weave his feelings into his art, never to be allowed to express them directly….getting THAT ending.

And it's not even specifically about him wanting love. He wanted it with Mike.

There was never even the faintest hint of him being interested in anyone else. They never showed him glancing at any other boys. They didn't have the guy he met in the gay bar be someone he had an interaction with previously or watched from afar. He didn't even talk about celebrities he found attractive, which many of the other characters did.

It was always about Mike, and that's a choice the Duffers made.

But, no, his grand ending is merely that, now that he's discarded the feelings he had for Mike that were holding him back, he likes himself enough to go meet other guys several years in the future (it's a bar, so he couldn't legally be in one until at least 1992) with the hint that he might someday find love.

I'm tired of straight audiences that feel like gay people finding self acceptance is a good resolution just because they're uncomfortable with seeing queer love being depicted as equal to their own.

Anakin didn't fall to the dark side by himself, he was actively being groomed by a Sith Lord and was emotionally neglected throughout his childhood by the jedi. Predators target children who are comprised because of the negligence of their guardians/parents, the Jedi played a part in his fall. Saying this doesn't mean he was faultless and I never understand why people think it does.

Anakin isn't the dictator, you're completely removing Palpatine from the story, Anakin or Darth Vader to be more specific was the dictator's (Palpatine's) weapon and this was known in universe, Leia's comments about Vader's leash is proof of that. (Yes she was talking about Tarkin holding Vader's leash but the point still stands that Vader is seen as the tyrant's attack dog not the tyrant himself)

Anakin didn't just choose to kills the tuskens out of no where. They tortured his mother to death and he reacted out of anger and grief. The story doesn't position this situation as a good thing, Anakin himself doesn't see killing the tuskens as good. Padmé calming him down was a wise decision to make. (Yelling at a person who just had a breakdown and their mentally well-being is comprised will always make the situation worse, calming them down is literally always the best action)

Anakin wasn't destined to fall, Padmé and Obi-wan were shocked for a reason, just because you as a viewer knew he was going to be Vader from the start (because the OT came out first) does not mean that his fall was inevitable in universe, and no, him showing signs of not being well mentally does not mean they were signs that he was going to be Vader from the start, it's signs that he is not doing well mentally.

Padme isn't some unintelligent victim who didn't know what she was getting herself into, she was smart, and was correct more times than not. Hell her son quite literally vindicates her later on and people somehow still think she was wrong.
