If you remove Will from the narrative…what remains?

Their disagreements are repetitive; development stagnant. The show frequently highlights their incompatibility.

If they were telling an epic love story why do both characters flourish independently yet wither together?

I disagree with this for a multitude of reasons.

Having the story conclude this way opposes the “love triumphs over evil” core message of the show - which has remained consistent throughout.

There’s an overwhelming amount of foreshadowing that leads nowhere. Significant plot points were undersold or unresolved and central characters underutilised to an unfathomable degree.

The “finale” crosses well over the line of respectable ambiguity even at face value because a simple rewatch of the show highlights its incoherence, contradictions, and unfulfilling development…if it is truly over.
