My fiancé, my best friend, my confidant of nearly four years, @dietcola died Monday afternoon, and I'm so fucking desperate to be present at his memorial service and funeral. I need your help so badly.

This is an ad about animal cruelty that has very loud screaming of dying animals. Also flashing, graphic pictures of said animals, like a dead chicken or a pig biting a wired fence.

It’s about thirty seconds, the screaming starts 10 seconds in and the ad isn’t skippable.

It can trigger panic attacks and cause your anxiety to skyrocket, and it’s just generally a very disturbing thing no one should see.

I’ve only seen a warning yet, haven’t stumbled across this before despite using YT a lot but for the love of God please be careful. I’m merely giving out the link so you can report it and I wouldn’t advise any of you actually watch it.

My flat-mate’s date for the night was almost as drunk as her.  She had passed out in her room and locked the door.  He refused to leave because he wanted to have sex.  He also demanded food because he was dealing with “whiskey dick”.  He didn’t like the lack of food in the fridge.  I called 911, did the stuff stated above, and he was getting PISSED about how long the “order” was taking.  He took my phone, demanded they “hurry the fuck up”.  Police arrived two minutes later, arrested him, and helped me file a police report.  Pressing charges wasn’t necessary because he had warrants on him from THREE different states for the very thing he planned to do to me.  Several months after this happened one of the officers informed me he was charged with two felonies because he crossed stay lines, and will be serving no less than 35 years in prison.  The officer ripped into my flat-mate about her bringing home complete strangers, while drunk, knowing full well this shit could happen. 

This was 14 years ago.  

Do the pizza order, do it as calmly as you can.  The dispatcher I spoke to said things like this:

“If he’s drunk say you want mushrooms.”  I said I want extra mushrooms.

“If he’s threatening you with sexual assault say you want onions.”  I said I want onions.

She went like this with different toppings and sauces for a description of him, like pineapple if he’s blonde, black olives if he’s tall, extra large if he’s tall, etc.

“Hello?”

“Can I stay at your place tonight?”

“Hey Lance, nice to hear from you.”

“Look, Pidge, I’ve had a rough day and I really need a drink and an evening with my best friend.”

“Yeah, sure. Movie?”

“I’d rather not.”

“Okay, see you soon.”

Ten minutes after the phone call Pidge buzzed Lance into her building. He turned up at her door still in his Galaxy Garrison officer’s uniform, hair a complete mess, and his messenger bag over his shoulder.

“Did you come here straight from work?” She asked.

Lance collapsed in a heap on the couch. “I stopped for a burger on the way.”

Pidge went into her room. The bottom drawer of her dresser was all Lance’s stuff, mostly spare clothes. She picked sweats and a T-shirt at random and tossed them at his face on her way to the kitchen. “Get changed then come and pick your poison.”

He shot her a lazy salute then hauled himself to the bathroom. Pidge considered her booze cabinet. Last time Shiro was here he’d expressed a lot of concern about how much alcohol she kept at her place. Once a space dad, forever a space dad, and it’s only gotten worse since he and Curtis adopted a baby a few months ago.

Really, she just liked having a variety to pick from. She’s had some of these bottles for three or four years.

Pidge poured herself a scotch. Lance emerged and sat himself on the stool across the counter from her. He seemed marginally less cranky.

“What can I get you?” She playfully tossed a kitchen towel over her shoulder like a bartender.

“Got any Coke left?”

“Yep.”

“Then a rum and coke, please.”

“Coming right up.” Lance just rested his head in his hand while he watched her mix the drink. Pidge half expected him to drink it all in one go when she slid the glass over. But he closed his eyes and took one sip, as if savoring the taste.

“Thanks Pidge.”

“Any time.” She picked up her own drink. “So what brings you down to the local watering hole tonight?”

“At least half my students failed their flight midterms.” He took a deeper swig of his drink. “The other faculty are riding my ass to improve their scores.”

Pidge frowned. “That sounds like it’s on the kids.”

He rubbed his forehead, eyebrows all scrunched together. “But I’m their instructor, right? Their work reflects mine. I’m worried I’m not cut out for teaching them.”

“These are recruits, right?”

“Yeah.”

“Half of them are getting weeded out of the program after this year anyway.”

He grunted.

She chewed her lip. Pidge wasn’t one for empty platitudes. It felt too much like lying and not substantial enough to be of any help. That said, she’d learned the hard way Lance was sensitive and didn’t always respond to super direct advice.

Actually that did give her an idea. “You haven’t been teaching long, Lance. Some of it’s going to be trial and error. So if you think they’re not learning, try a different method.” She took his free hand and rubbed his fingers where they curled around hers. “Don’t beat yourself up about it. You’ll figure it out. Also…I know you. I know you’ll be there for your students no matter what. There’s no way you’re not ‘cut out’ for this.”

Lance gave her such a soft smile her bones suddenly became like 30% jelly. He leaned forward a bit and kissed her cheek. “Thank you, Pidge. I’m lucky you’re in my life.”

Pidge’s face heated. She awkwardly extracted her hand and downed the rest of her scotch. Then poured herself another. “Any time. Next time I have a robot explode I’ll come crying about it to you and crash at your place again.”

Lance held out his glass towards hers expectantly. She clinked them together and they both drank. “It’s practically a tradition now. I have like half of your pajamas at home.”

They moved to the couch and continued talking for a while. Catching up with him felt nice. Actually, nice wasn’t strong enough a word. His presence felt warm and comforting. A metaphorical fuzzy blanket. Both their schedules were so busy that Pidge hadn’t properly seen him in over a week. That was…too long.

When Pidge started yawning Lance tugged her up and led her to her bed. He collapsed on the other side. She liked to sprawl out at night and had spared no expense in getting a huge bed to do so. With so much room to spare, it seemed cruel to relegate Lance to the couch so this was their usual arrangement.

With a good foot of space between them.

He deserved better writing but he was not a good person. He was a villain.

The true villains of voltorn were Allura and paladins, and Lotor DESERVED BETTER the that  murderous racist Allura!

Did you watch season 2? Allura realized she treated Keith poorly and apologized for it. Allura realized she treated the Galra unfairly and after that she doesn’t treat any of them unfairly again. She works alongside the Blade and isn’t prejudice towards any of them.

We know Lotor killed those Alteans. You can be like “but maybe the colony was a lie” or “maybe he didn’t do it” but if you do that means you didn’t pay attention to the show. Keith and Krolia found the second colony. They saw it meaning it exist. And not only that in season 8 the Alteans ask Honerva about the second colony. Meaning not only did it physically exist but Romelle’s recollection of members of the colony leaving to go to the second colony happened. Lotor initially isolated an entire race from the rest of the universe, lied to them, told them they were safe, then drained them of their life force to the point it killed them. This is a canon fact not something debatable. Do we know why he was doing it? No, not really. And that’s one of the faults of season 8. The colony is mentioned again but it’s purpose is not. It’s not because it didn’t exist. It’s because of poor writing. There is plenty of proof you just weren’t paying attention

And even if you don’t take the colony into account what about the Galra? You keep going on about how Allura was so bad towards the Galra yet you forget that Lotor hated them. Lotor right out said he was gonna wipe out all his enemies including the Galra. That’s why his generals bailed.

You say Allura killed billions but fail to say how. If you are referring to what happened to the Galra empire because of Lotor disappearing then that’s not just on Allura that’s on ALL of team Voltron. That’s on Keith, Hunk, Lance, Pidge, Coran and Krolia. Because not a single one of them were like “hey guys maybe we shouldn’t take out the leader of an empire before finding a replacement for him” they were all on board with addressing Lotor right as he got on board and none of them rejected Allura’s reaction nor taking him out with Voltron. You can’t blame Allura for the things that happened in the three year gap without also addressing that it’s also because of everyone else. The show never addressing this is one of the issues I have with it. It’s bad writing. But it doesn’t make the characters evil, or the villains or Allura horrible.

Lotor May have hidden the Alteans but last I checked they were doing fine before him. And even then it’s not like he kept them all safe, no he selectively killed a good bit of them. Heck look at the memorial stone.
