This was the vague consensus I reached after interviewing four people on who would be who, with some of my own opinion thrown in the midst.

Back to the intermittent trend of throwing my guys into other settings, this time with Nine Sols, pretty heavily based off of the types of Solarians and clothing we see in-game.

gijinka Hollow. As the pure vessel and throughout their childhood their hair was cut short as possible, never a hair out of place, pristine and perfect, like a military hair cut- they're a knight after all.

Their hair goes out while they're in the black egg temple, to the point where once short and near hair dangles down far past their ankles, messy with dried infection and tears.

After the godhome ending Hornet takes them to the hot springs in the forgotten crossroads and cleans them up, the muck makes the clear waters .... Really dirty really quick. She decides to not try cutting it until they're better about autonomy and having wants of their own. But she braids it once it's clean, a weaver tradition- I imagine long hair would be very important for weavers, as it's like. Body silk. For them. Anyways Hornet braids their [stupid long] hair in a style she remembers. Not as intricate and well braided as a weaver who had more experience but still, it gets the hair out of their face and makes getting around easier for them.

Hollow is incredibly moved by this. They don't show it but they really love it so much, partly because their hair kinda looks like mamas now but mostly because of the sibling bonding. They don't let anyone else touch it but Hornet bc she's the only one who knows how to do it right [she's not doing it right, she doesn't know weaver hair styles well enough. They don't care]. They never want it so short and characterless again
