If your business can only be reached and all info about it only be accessed via Facebook or Instagram, know that it isn’t reachable or accessible AT ALL.
The whole metaverse can no longer be properly viewed without an account and I am definitely not making one just to see your contact info or opening hours.
Get a fucking WEBSITE. It can be just a static landing page with the relevant information. But get off the metaverse!

Googled something about quick hydration and it suggested big jug of water, couple tbsp pickle juice, dash of lime juice.
Its surprisingly tasty????
Pleased to report that after a day of this i am not longer craving caper brine and my mouth is not dry as usual. There's some good suggestions in the notes too that I want to try.
-ancient roman posca: water, red or white wine vinegar, honey, salt, herbs (coriander, mint, thyme)
-switchel: water, ginger, vinegar, sweetener, lemon, salt
-ayran: yogurt, water, salt, mint
-Agua pepino: water, cucumbers, lime, sugar, optional mint.
I have been reminded of:

also I don't think parents "these days" are uniquely terrible, I just think neglect is showing up in new ways as technology progresses. today's ipad kid would've been wandering around in a ditch alone all day and night before. parents not wanting to have to deal with children is not a new phenomenon.
It’s Fourth of July Eve so make sure to leave some milk and cookies out for Captain America
I THOUGHT AFTER FOUR YEARS YOU PEOPLE WOULD LET THIS DIE AND YET AGAIN I OPEN THIS CURSED APP TO FIND MORE NOTES ON THIS POST
Remove immunity and require each officer to carry insurance. The more fucked up the department the higher their insurance and individually it swings further based on claims.

Real and growing possibility of him dying live on tv and nobody in the room noticing for minutes on end.
Likes charge, reblogs cast.
i do find the rules around clothes fascinating because of how made up it all is. we invented the idea of covering our bodies from the elements because we lack fur like other mammals and then made up all these rules around it and now people will unironically tell you "men cant wear skirts its unnatural" girl none of this is natural. we are born naked and made up the rest as we went along. hope this helps.
I actually do think we should discourage women from becoming housewives. Do not become financially dependent on a man. That's how a lot of women ended up dead over the years. A man gets violent suddenly and you have to choose between homelessness or potentially dying at his hand because you have an enormous gap in your resume and no degrees or certifications or anything that will help you pursue a career that will allow you to be financially independent. He owns your bank account. His name is probably the one on the car. Try and leave and he can report it stolen. Where will you go then?
Don't become a housewife.
And if you do become a housewife, take steps to protect yourself. Make sure you’re legally married, for starters; stay-at-home girlfriends have very little legal recourse to claim their partner’s assets in a breakup. Make sure your name is on the house deed/rental agreement, and have your car in your name, even if your spouse is paying for it. Have your spouse transfer money every month into an account solely in your name, so you can buy yourself things without needing permission, but also so you can save up to leave if needed.
If your spouse fights you on any of this, then don’t quit your job. The tradwife to poverty pipeline is real, and so is financial abuse.
also, many women/people experience controlling behaviour and domestic violence from their partner for the first time during pregnancy. don’t risk thinking “he’s just stressed, it’ll get better when the baby comes” because it won’t. neither you and your child will ever be safe with that man. get out as early and safely as you can
what’s the rush?
The irony of Palantir being called... Palantir is also not lost on me.
Consider: The Palantiri, those Big Glass Orbs you can look through and See Some Shit, are not evil in and of themselves. However, like any other "machine" they will reflect the intent and character of their user.
(For context: They also expose you to the wills of the person on the other end if they're also looking at you through a palantir of their own.)
Saruman overused the one he found when he moved into Isengard's Orthanc tower. He became corrupted through his own lack of self control and his arrogance thinking he could go toe to toe with Sauron.
He ultimately used his for control, deceit, and power, and it got his bitch ass brought to ruin, then stabbed by Wormtongue in the Shire. He died, bitter, alone, and his spirit forever left to linger impotent and unable to return to his home in the West.
Denethor overused his palantir to the point that, even though he was able to resist Sauron's will - a very impressive feat - Sauron was able to deceive him into despair. He continued to use it, further obsessed with control in his grief over Boromir, and his paranoia and jealousy of Aragorn. Eventually, when he saw the ships of the Corsairs coming up the river, he gave in to despair entirely - not realizing that the Corsair ships were in fact Aragorn coming with reinforcements.
Peter Thiel, coward that he is, naming his investment firm 'Valar Ventures', and his surveillance/AI bullshit 'Palantir' is in my opinion an unprecedented and stupifying level of billionaires' lack of self-awareness.
The sheer arrogance, the hubris of it, is fucking astounding.
One of the MAIN THEMES in Tolkien's ENTIRE body of work is that those who seek power will inevitably be corrupted by it; that the intent to seek power, control, dominance, is in itself a corrupting force and nought but a blight upon the world. And finally, that those who have power, ought to use it to PROTECT and STEWARD the world and those living within it; to be willing to give that power up when the time comes to do so.
Billionaires are sniveling little cowards who turn tail and run at the first whiff of danger to themselves and their power. But if Tolkien is right, and if we all do our damnedest to make the world a better, more just and equitable one, the natural order of things will have these freaks destroy themselves by drinking the poison of their own avarice.

Always bear in mind that there is absolutely no legitimate evidence that Luigi was actually the one who killed the insurance company guy.
Of course he wasn't. He was at a party with me that day.
No but like literally, actually. All bits aside.
He didn't do it.
The cops very clearly planted evidence on him because they had to make an arrest because all eyes were on them and whoever actually did the deed was making them look stupid.
Why would the real killer hero have kept the weapon on his person and traveled two states over while carrying it and a manifesto in his bag, conveniently turning the crime into a federal matter? The same guy whose bag they found in a park, filled with monopoly money? Why did the police turn off their bodycams, take Luigi's stuff, drive a block away, turn their bodycams back on, go back into the restaurant, and then arrest him?
From the moment of his arrest, even left-of-center media has been presuming his guilt without examining anything (e.g. calling him "the killer" instead of "alleged" or "accused") and then when I say he didn't do it, the nearest person chimes in with some quip that tells me they think he did do it but should go free anyway. Don't get me wrong, I would have the same attitude if he had done it. But he didn't. It makes me feel like the only sane person in the world, even among my staunchly leftist friends.
