I also think that the strength gap is at least partially manufactured women would in fact be stronger overall if little girls were encouraged to do physically taxing games and activities and eat their fill while they’re growing vs having to constantly diet and be sedentary indoors (or god forbid do intense cardio while under-eating). The amount of adult women honestly afraid to lift weights bc they think they’ll get bulky as though bulking isn’t a full time job that athletes have to spend all their time on and anyone on earth gets shredded from just using their adult muscles for their intended purpose, girl your bone density 🥀
if you say women are intentionally nerfed from birth in 2026 people look at you like you’re insane and start condescendingly telling you about how women are just better at different things (but not during their periods haha) but this was a completely basic feminist talking point I grew up with like “girls can do it too! My grandmother tells me that she thinks I drink too much water but that woman also seems to live off of half a cup of water and a can of Diet Coke a day and just sucks on hard candy when she feels thirsty so idk if it’s growing up in the 40s and 50s that made her like that or if that’s just how she is but I’m pretty sure she’s been dehydrated for the past 70 years or so

I have had a head cannon about Star Trek since I was like 13 years old and discovered Kirk/Spock fanfiction for the first time
I had watched a lot of Star Trek, mostly TOS and Next Generation, because my Dad was a huge fan and we only had one TV in the house for the first 18 years of my life, and it was a 23 inch cathode ray tube one. My Dad also stole cable tv from the neighbors back in the 90s but that's a story for another day.
Anyway, for the last 25+ years of my life, my head cannon has always been that James T Kirk is catnip for Vulcans. Is this supported by anything? Nope. But in my head Kirk is the equivalent of a heart throb. No Vulcan can resist his allure.
I know I'm not right but I also don't think I'm wrong.
I was reading the book The Pandora Principle and thought that this passage also is relevant to existing as a non-human living on current-day earth.
There is a lot of discussion on here about learning to co-exist and appreciate humans and I found that Spock's words to me here reflect what it is that I have, with time, come to really admire about Humanity.
Humans can be difficult to live with when you have different needs and ways of thought. However they are also beautifully inventive, compassionate, and capable of amazing things. I believe that the difficulty is worth the privilege of getting to know them. I try to keep these words in mind when I interact with them.
