I will die on that hill - Bones isn’t racist to Spock, at least not in the way most people conceive racism.
Trip Tucker is racist. He makes unnecessary, mean, not necessarily true comments (like saying P’Jem monastery "smells" or insinuating he’s rather work with a dog that with a Vulcan). He’s *nasty* to T’Pol and while he does become nicer as time goes, something about how he acts doesn’t sit right with me.
Bones on the other hand ? He’s not saying mean lies. He’s like "Damn it. You’re not better or less than or whatever but you’re fucked up little guy and you’re NOT human". He’s not seen expressing disgust, fear or hatred the way Tucker (or other xenophobic characters) does. He’s just putting that distance. WOW guy you’re not like me
Spock is worried about not being Vulcan enough and, as someone who’s always worried of not being Vulcan enough, I would be VERY happy to be treated like that. Affirming you know ? You’re not human is actually quite nice to hear when you don’t *want* to be human.
My stance on otherpaws
Since kinradicalism and drama are now unavoidable no matter where I go.
- Otherpaws aren’t alterhuman. That’s not an identity, that’s a hobby, period.
- Otherpaws are part of our community, no matter if we like it or not. They share a part of our culture.
- Otherpaws enjoying gears and quads and vocals are not the problem or "cultural appropriation".
- The problem is when otherpaws profit from our "culture" without knowing where it comes from or say thing like "Yeah I’m a therian I have a mask" or "You can’t be a therian if you can’t jump high" or "being therian is a spiritual connexion to an animal". THAT is cultural appropriation, it’s bad, and the solution to it is spreading info and awareness.
- If you don’t want to hear the truth and say "I can be a therian if I want that’s just a game" type stuff please don’t come anywhere near me.
- You don’t need dysphoria to be an alterhuman.
- Voluntary identification (copinglink, funlink, choicekin) is valid but it’s a totally different experience compared to unvoluntary identification.
- Kinning a character is term appropriation and I don’t really like it. You can kin for fun (funlink) or comfort/coping (copinglink) or for any other reason but calling a character you just like a kin is bullshit.
- Otherpaws (wether they’re also alterhuman or not) are too loud as a part of the community. We need to talk about other parts of the alterhuman experience.
- People saying "Only alterhumans can wear gears and do quads" are just adding to the confusion between otherpaws and therians. In the end, it will result in a lot of people faking being alterhuman so they can just have fun and dilute our culture even more.
- People need to inform themselves. Alterhumans are done with people not being informed enough and talking without knowing. Every week in some of the alterhuman servers I’m in people walk in like "I like cats can I be a cat therian if I can’t jump very high" and it’s getting very hard to be nice to these people. I just want to tell ‘em to fuck off at this point. INFORM YOURSELF FOR GOD’S SAKE.
- Pretending to have a past life, or to be something you’re not, is not nice. You don’t need a past life to be alterhuman, and otherpaws can just be otherpaws and have fun without pretending to be therians (if you’re both a therian and otherpaw obviously it’s fine but y’know what I mean).
- Don’t talk about stuff you don’t know and please also listen to non-therian alterhumans.
- Gatekeeping alterhumanity sucks. You don’t need shifts, you don’t need past lives, you don’t need dysphoria, you don’t need to transition (physically nor socially), you don’t need gears, you don’t need to identify in a specific way (physical, spiritual, physical…), you don’t need to have only one kintype, you don’t need neurodivergence or trauma. You only need to identify as an animal, character, species, object, person, concept, etc.
- Telling you you’re wrong and explaining the right terms and labels is not gatekeeping, it’s just helping others and protecting our culture.
- LOTS of TikTok/YouTube/Insta therians are actually otherhearted. Being otherhearted is fine, but different from being a therian. Please spread info about otherhearted-ness.
- My blog is a safe place for otherpaws and all people with both voluntary and involuntary identification.
- Saying you need to do gears and quads to be an alterhuman is not only wrong but also classist (not everyone can afford to make gears), ableist (lots of people, including myself, can’t do quads), and not nice because not all people have a tolerant family and friend group or a place to do that. And some people just don’t want to do that.
Feel free to reblog of you agree. If you don’t I’d rather ya block me and go away.
Playing the Akinator for fun and was trying to get Chairman Koval - this man:
When Akinator asked “does this charater really exist” 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey Koval your so shrouded in mystery - not even a website thinks you are real! Just as intended for a Tal Shiar agent I guess 😅.

Webby pointing to the actual god Vulcan, only for Launchpad to hit him with the Star Trek salute is still peak comedy!

Really am obsessed with the Vulcans with tails headcannon at the moment. I know realistically it'd probably be a fleshy tail with fur at the end, but I wanna be self indulgent and I think full fluffy cat tails would be sick asf.
Unlike traditional Vulcans who hide their tails due to the emotionsl response they give, the v'tosh ka'tur decorate them with jewelry and sometimes dye them bright colours to bring even more attention to them.
Also tail grooming is definitely a very private and close practice, only between family, or those bonded close to you. Spock letting Jim see his tail for the first time was very big for him (Jim now loves sitting and brushing it and listening to Spock purr when they're alone in their quarters.)
