• We've learned about over 20 parts.

• We still deal with amnesia a lot. But it's become less scary now that we understand why we miss huge chunks of memory. It still sucks! But we aren't as terrified now.

• We aren't as stand offish with eachother now. We kinda know who we are in relation to eachother and the system (or we're getting there, anyways).

• Being plural doesn't feel scary and entirely medicalised now. Before, a lot of our horror was related to psychiatric frameworks and the very linear "healing" pathways. Now we feel a lot less stressed after learning more about Madness and anti-psychiatry.

• We aren't as fussed over psych labels now. We fit a DID dx, but honestly we don't plan on pursuing it. The way psych diagnoses have been used to harm us outweigh any "benefit" to formal diagnosis.

• We're open about being plural with every peer in our life that knows us well/at all. It's not some dark secret. That's been very healing for us.

• We're getting better at compromise! It's still a bit of a back and forth, and sometimes we still go rogue and make decisions based on just one part's desires, but that's not as drastic right now.

• We have no interest in fusion. We've never been a singlet. We're okay as we are, and that's just... okay 🤷

Generally, we're doing better. Stepping back from psych appointments and shit CBT has helped so much hahah. We're medicated for a lot of different things and been otherwise left alone, which has been lovely. A lot less saneism gets thrown our way nowadays!

we're going through some system-related ish right now, so y'all are getting an alter intro. we are a diagnosed dissociative system (and i do not want to be near syscourse, so please don't bring it to me. i don't mind what your system origin is! our diagnosis is not an invitation for discourse!!!). there are only about 6 of us who are likely post here. if that changes, i'll add more to this intro.

*keep in mind that our communication kind of sucks, and i am relying on one specific alter to keep me informed, so updates might be wonky bc alter info beyond this list is pure guesswork for myself & most.
