the relationship humans have with fruit is quite funny. plants produce fruit in order to spread their seeds, because animals will eat that fruit and poop it out into the soil, where the seeds can grow and begin the cycle anew. but humans, with our extremely dexterous hands, can easily pick out the seeds of most fruits and discard them in places where they won't grow, just because we don't like their taste or texture. it doesn't end up mattering though, because if humans like the fruit of a plant, we'll take full control over its reproduction so that we can continue to enjoy it for centuries, even millennia to come. it makes no difference that we discard the seeds if it means the plants that create them continue to reproduce because of our influence. it's definitely a different kind of symbiotic relationship than what came before it, but it does still remain mutually beneficial nonetheless
