This is Envy. She’s a Tiefling who used to be a thief until she tried to steal a beautiful ivory dagger embedded with rubies that happened to be a link to a powerful demon with a lust for blood. Now she’s a warlock.

ah well imo creativity is a skill you cultivate, but having said that, my creative ideas got a whole lot better after i stopped focusing on what made them good or believable and instead tried to have as much fun with them as possible. when i was really plugging away at breaking out of my comfort zone, i’d have tables of cool design elements (lists of animals, machines, architectural styles, natural phenomena etc) and i’d try to fuse these elements together to make something really unlike other things i would draw at the time, then i would write about them like i was an explorer documenting the things i was finding in a new continent or something

Owls do a defensive stance where hey make their feathers big and fanned out like a turkey almost, when they are protecting young or feeling defensive themselves to be big and scary!!

But other birds also get fluffy when they are content and happy

So eerie can get fluffy when she’s happy and cuddly and feeling really warm and fuzzy inside

OR when she’s angry, but especially when she’s flustered or embarrassed bc those emotions require less composure than some types of anger

There are also different kinds of feathers fluffs!

- Feeling in danger/Shower fluff: All feathers get up and in different directions + Wings and tail wide open + Head doing "snake-like" movements to attack. The idea is looking big, spikey and threatening (when in danger). They use the same movements to take a bath, so they can wash every part.

- Tender fluff: Usually is more intense with the head's ones. It's indeed pretty similar to Studio Ghibli's hair fluff!! Wings and tail closed, tho. Feathers usually stay organized, and if you give them a scratch they will open wider in the area you're scratching. They also melt in one's touch! Everytime I'm scratching my birb's head he curves his head till his beak touch his paw (it's like he's curling into a little ball of tenderness).

- Cold/sleepy fluff: Bodie's feathers will be up wide open to the point they look like a little ball. Some head's feathers will also go up but is more with the ones in their neck. Wings and tail also closed. They also fold their legs, and can also stay in one leg while sleeping (like a little flamingo).

the IDs will look very impressive. they will not come cheap. they will not help you.

there's no checkpoint to bluff your way through and nobody who wants to hear you try. if you try to time travel anywhere near the Titanic, whether you try to board with all the other passengers or appear on the boat in the middle of the voyage, you will get slammed directly into a whitespace dragnet - a time bubble, in layman's terms.

and you will be surrounded by at least a dozen time cops, all of whom are bored and cranky and very eager to flex their newfound authority, which means they will absolutely detain you for as long as possible and insist on giving you a lecture when a slap on the wrist would do. if you talk back they might double your fine or even suspend your chronal permissions for up to a year.
