I cannot stress enough that I fundamentally distrust callout posts, and I will distrust you if you send them to me.
Don't get me wrong: I investigate warnings, and I act on them if they're true and relevant. But callout posts are, on a very fundamental level, not about what people say they're about. There are exceptions, but generally speaking they're made for one or more of the following reasons:
OP didn't like the subject to begin with (often for bigoted reasons), and they wanted a reason, and a following, to justify and validate that.
OP wanted to gain popularity, so they made themselves look like either a victim, a hero, or both.
OP wanted to claim victim status in a private falling-out in order to preserve good standing with their own friends/their community.
OP didn't like what the subject was saying, and wanted to silence them (often for bigoted reasons).
OP genuinely just wants "revenge" on the subject, or otherwise wants to ruin their reputation and have them sent harassment.
Again, there are exceptions: there are "callouts" that just unravel a subject's lies, or point out problems in already public actions. If OP is claiming to have been personally victimized in a legitimately serious way, and especially one that indicates the subject might be a danger to others, I'm definitely more willing to believe it- one obvious example being sexual violence.
But oftentimes, callouts are incredibly personal, misleading, emotionally manipulative, blatantly untrue, or all of the above.
This person came to me on anon; I have absolutely no way of knowing what their motives are or how trustworthy they are. There is no credibility or accountability here.
And I did read the post. Lo and behold, it's riddled with emotionally manipulative language, false accusations, and the biggest reaches I've ever seen:
"DON'T READ THIS CALLOUT, IT'S SO TRIGGERING TO EVERYONE, JUST TAKE MY WORD FOR IT. But the proof is here if you REALLY don't believe me"
"Proof" is a scarce handful of screenshots taken out of context that contain emotionally evocative language, but do not support the accusations at all.
Some accusations are genuinely just weird logic leaps with no support, others are matters of personal opinion obviously driven by bigoted motives.
OP themselves expresses very publicly that they believe people who are marginalized in the ways the subject are, who speak on that marginalization, should be silenced.
I try to assume good faith here, and I want to believe this anon was just guilt-tripped and manipulated by the post in question. I don't hold any ill will here.
But anon, I want you to ask yourself:
Are the accusations you're making something you have personally investigated and found to be true?
Does this person deserve the harassment and ostracization they will likely receive as a result of your accusations?
Will you hold yourself accountable for the damage you've caused if you're wrong?
And if you're absolutely certain you're right, come off anon and talk to me as a human being; because I can't believe you're ready to be accountable for these accusations if you won't even put your Tumblr blog behind them.
I've had actual, honest-to-god callout blogs reblogging this post like "yeah I research all the claims here!! they're real and you can trust me (:" as if the entire purpose of their blog is not to encourage their followers not to check those claims themselves, not to think critically about why those claims are made in the first place, & to just rely on random strangers to tell them how to think and who to completely ostracize from potentially vital communities, support systems, and resources.
I cannot emphasize enough that if you spread "callout posts" as a fucking hobby, this post is explicitly about you.
SUPER TOP SECRET WORK HACK!!! If you explicitly tell people, "You are an adult and a professional, I trust you to do your job; just keep me in the loop and let me know if there are questions," then thank and/or praise them when they accomplish your mutual goals? they will keep doing things for and with you. Sometimes they will even side with you over other people in the organization, because you've taken the time to establish that baseline respect and trust! hashtag winning or whatever
I just want to say this can work with kids too, mostly because of the 'respect' thing.
This past month, Parks & Rec has been doing a lot of work on the field adjacent to my school. They have trucks with flatbeds, mowing/tree-cutting/postholing machinery, etc. And when they arrived, I (campus monitor) was told I would need to herd the kids away from the trucks/machinery and basically prevent them from creating a dangerous situation.
So when recess came around and the kids stampeded out the door I held them up and I said (being funny but at the same time serious, you know how it is, kids listen better if you're funny)
"Okay, I know that you're all smart AND mature, right? And talented and good looking? Definitely the smartest and most talented class in this school? (I say this to every class, they're all 'my favorites'.) And because you're SO intelligent and mature, I don't need to actually TELL you that these guys have vehicles and machinery that you need to stay clear of, right? Because I know you figured that out already, and I also know that YOU know how sad I would be if any of you were run over, or squashed, or had a pole fall on you. I would be SO SAD, like, I would probably have to lie down on the floor and cry. So you're not going to make me cry, right? I can trust you to stay away from the trucks and machines no matter where they are on the field? Because you're wonderful and amazing? My favorites? My inspiration?"
And they're laughing at me of course, because I'm being so dramatic. Some of them are "Yes, and-"ing my dramatics and inventing more involved mourning processes I should undertake if any of them get run over. Some of them are yelling at me that they are NOT mature yet and they are VERY STUPID and I should know this.
It's been three weeks. We had one conversation about it. None of them have gone anywhere near the trucks. This is actually in excess of the typical elementary-schooler's working memory and I'm very proud of them. I haven't had to blow the whistle at ONE person for getting too close even when the trucks were literally 40 feet from the actual playground.
"I know I can trust you to do this", even when phrased with humor, is like a magic key that unlocks teamwork+cooperation.
I usually phrased it to middle-schoolers as, "I was a weird artist before I was a teacher, so I don't understand how children work, really. So I am going to treat you guys like adults unless and until you give me a reason not to." It's amazing how far they'll go to keep that adult status.

He's suing them over it for $25M.
Wyland has said any financial recovery from the suit would support public art, ocean conservation, and environmental education through his foundation.
"This should have been an opportunity to show the world that global sports, public art, and environmental stewardship can stand together," he said. "Instead, a landmark was painted over. We want to do our part to make sure that what happened here does not become the standard for how public art is treated in cities across America."

it's true and you should say it.
coming out of the tags to say that some of us have been saying this for years and have been called all manner of degenerates, perverts, and pedophiles over it, and we really deserve an apology we will never receive
We DO deserve a fucking apology we'll never get, and not to soapbox, but lemme just throw out another fucking explanation of exactly why this shit keeps happening in the slim chance that it helps at least one person not fall for it: Fascism in ANY form will ALWAYS present itself as reasonable to YOUR sensibilities. It preys on a lot of things, your disgust reaction, your fear reaction, your own shame, your need for a tribe, your need to feel like you're part of something bigger than yourself, your need to protect your resources, your need to boost your own ego, your need to feel better than others, and in my opinion, the worst thing of all that it can prey on is your WANT TO DO GOOD. It turns that Want To Do Good against you, gives you "acceptable targets" and sets you loose, thinking that you're being a fucking super hero. Fascism will ALWAYS feel okay when you're doing it because you understand why you're doing it because you've been told why you should be doing it by someone who's fucked the narrative to make you feel good about hurting other people because they've convinced you that you are protecting people by doing it!! Fascism tells you: "The sort of people who value a sex scene in a movie are perverts, and perverts are dangerous, right? Oh god... What if they're a rapist and that's why they like that sort of stuff? Yeah, that trans girl that made that post about movies needing sex scenes... She pisses in a diaper, that's fucking disgusting right? And she likes weird fiction... And diapers are meant for kids... So... Yeah... Exactly, you got it! See you figured out what she was too! So you should trust your gut with these people, you're really good at spotting them! You know when someone is evil! And you DEFINITELY should not listen to a pervert explain themselves, because... Right, exactly, what's the point? They're just going to lie about it and probably say gross shit to you." Did you catch how that worked? It let YOU make the conclusion. It let YOU answer the questions and start setting shit in stone in your own mind. And the next thing you know, you're using fiction as proof, anything outside of your own comfort levels as evidence, you've become an emotionally reactionary fascist who genuinely believes you are making the world better, and safer, for the people you love, and who love you in return. Fascism doesn't begin with violence, it begins with a kind hand held out in your direction from someone else who believes they're helping. You might not even realize you've fucked up. Ever. That's how it works. That's how it thrives.
THIS!!!
Degenerate art - Wikipedia
If we don’t learn from history we are doomed to repeat it.
i know things are hella grim in the nsfw/kink art circles especially in the last year --
but I'm hearing there's a NSFW-friendly ko-fi alternative built on atproto that's actively in the works, and being vetted by lawyers right now. as torrent-princess (OP) says, you should be able to swap out payment processors while keeping your account intact. this matters since even if stripe removes support, you'll still have a shop and all of your links intact. (ATproto is an infrastructure that bsky is built on, but is far bigger than bsky with far more opportunities.)
additionally, the Free Speech Coalition is working on a credit union specifically for adult work (including kink art) - here's the link so you can add your interest & support. Since this will be built by sex workers, there'll be far less risk of being debanked for spurious and puritanical reasons.
on a domain TLD level, there's an initiative here for a .furry domain built from the ground up by seasoned furries; it's unclear whether they'll support NSFW, but it's yet another promising turn of events for a group that's been similarly affected by censorship.
there are friends and allies out there helping to build a working parallel infrastructure. keep being vocal, keep supporting these initiatives when it's possible, and keep supporting your nsfw/kink artists. ♥

this is becoming a really beautiful post
me, brilliant: I should toss the vegetables with oil and lemon juice prior to absolutely fucking blasting the air fryer heat custom style
my air quality monitor, minutes later: hey
so it turns out the reason recipes tend not to suggest coating vegetables in lemon juice (as opposed to a simple demure layer of oil) prior to crisping them at four hundred degrees fahrenheit is that delicious flavorful moisture plus cleaned trimmed vegetable plus blazing hot air fryer equals a somewhat dangerous program advance
however, using my excellently trained netbattle brain I quickly discovered how to counter PoisPhar

it is impossible to watch a movie. every night i think i want to watch a movie. no movie gets watched. because it's not possible
and yet they keep making movies with the hopes that one day humanity will discover a way to watch them. it's so inspiring

the posts are ON THE WEBSITE. I can't search dirty words?? am I five??? is this club penguin??? when I get you
What the hell
What is going on
The last time I played Puck, the director was a huge freak about not letting us wear shoes on stage because it would "ruin the look", but we all kept eating shit, and instead of just letting us wear skintone dance shoes or something with grip, motherfucker poured Pepsi on the floor so it'd be sticky and we had to schlorp around. I fucking hate you, David.
Why couldn't this have been a one time I dreamt
Coking the stage (mopping it with diluted soda so it's a little sticky) is a legitimate low-budget tactic for slick floors, but he just poured so much Pepsi on the floors that for about a whole week, it was audible.
Maybe the course of true love would run a little fucking smoother if we didn't have to ford your Pepsi river, DAVID.
I would just quit. Fuck people like that. It's easy to walk away
No it's not. Didn't you read the post? There was dried Pepsi everywhere.

people love using glasses as like. an example for a normalised disability aid and like. yes. people wear glasses all the time and it's not a big deal, the most you'll get is someone ohhing and ahhing about how thick they are and some stereotypes about glasses being ugly/people wearing glasses being inherently nerdy and clever. (which. to be very clear. can also be very damaging, and children and teenagers in particular can be very cruel about glasses, but it is nowhere near the level people with other disablity aids get)
and also no.
glasses, the worse your eyesight gets, get, like, exponentially more expensive, and insurance often does not cover anything beyond the most basic, nontreated, impractical and ugly ass glasses you can find (if it's covered at all). for example. I spent like 800 euros on just getting the lenses replaced in my last pair. No frames. Nothing fancy. Insurance did not cover it because they cover my contacts, nevermind the fact that you're only supposed to wear contacts 8 hours a day before you risk damaging your eyes. What am I supposed to wear if I can't cough up almost a grand for my glasses? An old pair that doesn't have the right strength (this one DID cost a grand), gives me headaches and is likely to make my eyes even worse than they are? The amount of money I have sunk into my eyes compared to a person who doesn't need glasses is genuinely insane and if I think about it for too long I start wanting to eat concrete by the bucketful
This is why fat shaming can have tragic consequences.
If this sort of weight-based medical bias happens to any of y'all, politely tell the doctor (during your visit) that you want them to write in your file that they are refusing ordering tests for you because of your current weight. This usually causes them to order the test anyways because they do NOT want a malpractice suit. Remember: You want to make a paper trail to hold them accountable.
Also after that, make sure you say something like you don't feel they are spending enough time considering your situation. Doctors see that as a massive red flag regarding that you are questioning the care you are receiving. It's a great way to politely get them to pay attention.
Because if they have a wait based bias, they are 100% not spending enough time on you so you are not lying and you can probably prove it with the notes they take regarding that they aren't ordering tests because of your weight.
I know it opens the door for them to lose a case, they know it, and know you know it!
(p.s. this also works for marginalized groups or other biases as well. You are having autoimmune and they won't test for anything and treat you for MS because you are a woman? Have them note they are refusing tests and mention you feel they aren't spending enough time on you or that they are providing a substandard level of care. You are black and the cardiologist assumes you have congenital heart issues and won't test for anything else? Same deal. You are young and they won't test you for colon cancer? Hit em. You are neurodivergent and they won't treat you for whatever psychological issues you have and say it's an element of your neurodivergent diagnosis? Slap em in the face with these words.)
If you ever can't get a test you are interested in, the above post is incredibly on point, but also mention that your care is substandard or they aren't spending enough time on you and they will have the "oh fuckballs I'm about to get sued!" Thoughts eat away at their brain.
For reference, I work in healthcare data (often clinical outcomes) and sometimes have to provide evidence in cases and I always hear the outcomes. If it's in your chart they refuse a test, they lose. Most doctors know it, and even more know the red flags of a potential malpractice suit.
If a doctor explains a cost and why they think it is unnecessary that it is different, med schools are including cost conscious testing into the education. That isn't a refusal but the sign of a doctor working with you, even if it is frustrating if they are still willing to order the test they are just managing that situation.
Further, at large practices, many Docs are encouraged to limit testing (especially if they are reimbursed, paid, or have incentives based on patient health. The medical view of "overweight" as an "unhealthy lifestyle" in many cases (regardless of the reality of it) and thus anything even can be even slightly tangentially linked reduces the doctors perceived quality of care and pushes it onto the patients fault/responsibility this protecting the physicians paycheck. I'm not for a second saying I agree with what I wrote but I am putting awareness that in some cases there is a systematic problem that encourages weight-biased (or other biases) into the healthcare decision making process. (These models are not unique to the home country of the US but also incredibly common in single-payer and universal-payer systems.)
TL;DR if you are not a person of extreme privilege in where you are you likely will (or already have) face some kind of medical bias. Always have them document refusal to test as expressed by spitegoblin, but also question the doctor not spending enough time on your case or talk about a substandard quality of care to really drive home the idea you might sue.
