8 weeks
So I'm feeling pretty proud of myself today. Â I know the first photo is fuzzy but you can certainly see the fuzzy fat. Â I know I still have a long ways to go, but I feel AMAZING. Â I leg pressed 215lbs today on the scariest machine ever! Â I was so scared to even sit under all that weight, but I pushed past it and just did it! Â (nike swoosh worthy!) Â I even got a high five from some random guy at the gym this week after finishing one of my sets! Â It feels good not to be intimidated anymore in the "men's" section of the gym. Â I see more and more women lifting weights and soon we'll be taking over I'm sure! Â Ranger game tonight and Mexico on Sunday. Â Life is really good.
So I am not much of a joiner. I donât like change and I am sometimes always anxiety ridden about committing to group activities. Hit me in my twenties and I had to move to solo ventures like horseback riding until I got too pudgy, the stable nearby has a 180 pound weight limit for riders. I used...
This post, is hands down, the funniest one I've ever read on Tumblr.  And let's be clear here, I look at a lot of cat meme posts, so that's saying ALOT!!!  Holy shit, I almost peed my bed this morning from laughing so hard!  Are you kidding me?  I don't know how you even stayed for the class!  As you well know, I suffer from inappropriate laughter and after seeing someone cruise into class on a motorized wheelchair, that would have been it.....done....I'm out!  Would you get a personal trainer already, I can't take you going to anymore classes like that or I'll get sick from laughing!  As far as the ring goes, that's a tricky one.  It doesn't seem like you love them, even though they are BEAUTIFUL!!  I feel like if you don't love them, you won't wear them, and this will eventually hurt your husbands feelings (who by the way, I love and don't even know him except for that foggy mowing photo).  Tell the poor guy to stop buying you expensive gifts.  Anything over a 500 dollars needs to be bought as a team, to prevent these types of issues.  I think after you're together awhile, its just easier to buy what you like, yourself.  Either way, he sounds like a great guy.  Is there any way he can return the rings and  buy you a go-pro video camera, so you can video record all your misadventures and post them on Tumblr for my enjoyment?  Â

Planking - my new obsession. Â Weight 204.0
Okay, so I'm obsessed with planking! Â How is it that I've never even heard of this before? Â I am doing the 30 day planking challenge and hopefully I can get past 45 seconds at some point! Â Holy crap, it is so hard. Â BUT....things like this become a challenge to me and I love timing myself and seeing if I can get better. Â Weird how my weight is down 1.2 lbs today for no particular reason. Â Hopefully my metabolism is finally starting to kick in and I will begin to see some results on the scale. Â Whatever, like I said before, as long as I see changes in my body and the way my clothes fit, I'm not going to stress about the numbers on the scale. Â Today is lower body day, not my favorite, but I'm trying not to hate it as much. Â I know that someday these squats will get easier and my butt will thank me, but for now I still hate doing them. Â
Christopher has his surgery tomorrow, so I have lot's to do today. Â We leave on Sunday for Mexico and I CAN'T WAIT!! Â
New Sneakers! Â Weight 205.2
So I finally picked out some new sneakers to work out in. Â These are New Balance and they are the comfiest sneakers I've ever worn. Â Yesterday I had a training session and did my upper body workout. Â I can't believe I actually love these sessions now. Â I used to feel like I was going to die, now it just burns and I feel exhausted, but I don't feel like death is imminent. Â That's progress in my book! Â I feel so much stronger and even though my weight on the scale isn't making huge jumps, I see such a difference in my body. Â I weigh myself each day, but I never get crazy about it anymore. Â I know that with weight training, I'm never going to see a big weekly weight loss. Â From what I've read, weight training causes the muscles to hold on to water so it's better to measure weight loss in inches instead of pounds. Â I'm really too lazy to start measuring myself, but I see I do see it in the way my clothes fit. Â Weight training is definitely addictive and being able to increase weights each week makes you want to keep working harder. Â So, all is good on the getting in shape aspect of my life.
Some not so good things.....Christopher is having surgery on Wednesday. Â I know in my head that it's a very simple surgery, but I am on the verge of tears all the time. Â He is the Heir to the Schober fortune and the last of the Schober line...HE'S VERY IMPORTANT!! Â Plus he's such a good kid, I hate to see anything hurt him. Â Typical Mom I guess. Â But like my sister says....Suck it up Sally!
We leave for Mexico Sunday night. Â I can't wait to see my daughters, who are flying in from Italy and San Diego. Â This trip has EPIC written all over it! Â LOL....God only knows! Â Between Christopher's nose, Emily's lack of a bathing suit, Erica trying to get out of San Diego amidst all the fires and me trying to enlist everyone to help (do all the work) hem my maxi dresses....WHO KNOWS WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN!
I feel like this smile is coming from the excitement of spending Monday with me sewing and hemming! Either way I love you!
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt!
So here's my boy Christopher with a broken nose.  This happened on Monday while I was working out and he was playing basketball having someone's head ram into his poor nose.  We go to the doctor today to see if he will need surgery or if it can just heal on its own.  We leave for Mexico next Sunday, so I'm hoping they will tell us it will just get better on it's own and he can just use it as a way to get girls when he gets older.  (By making up a story that he was saving a girl from a shark attack and he accidentally got hit in the face with it's giant dorsal fin....or something along those lines).  Anyway, I had a pretty decent upper body workout today and it seems like each week I am able to up most of my weights.  The thing about strength training that I like, is the progression you see each week.  I'm even starting to not hate squats as much, so something must be working. Â
Week 7 (I think) Finally! Even I can see a change! I love lifting weights and I feel this can be something I won't want to give up on. Feeling strong is better than being skinny....but that doesn't mean I don't want to lose weight. I do want my focus to be on health, so I'm not worrying about the scale. Slow and steady wins the race (and gives your skin time to adjust too!). I got my bloodwork back and all my labs are perfect! I'm feeling great, and like Christy told me....not all victories are on the scale!

I feel like Iâm losing my motivation. Idk what to do! I feel like lately my eating habits havenât been the best and I havenât worked out like I should. I need serious help. I donât wanna gain it all back! :-(
I am having the same issues. But I DID gain back the little bit I lostâŚ.
I donât know if this will help or not but for me I made a contract with myself. I committed to working out 5 days a week no matter what. It doesnât matter if I eat bad or if I feel tired, I at least do my 5 days of workouts. Maybe it would help if you just picked one thing and make a contract with yourself to be committed to it. Iâve found that my eating habits just sort of fell in line as a secondary bonus because I do t want to ruin all my hard work. Good luck! I hope you donât mind me butting in with my 2 cents!
Hi I am Lisaâs sister also living in Lititz. While reading her blog I saw your pic. You are lovely just as you are. I donât even know you but you seem like some one I would like to know and share a cocktail with. I too struggle with my weight. I look like a big potato. I am working hard to love myself as I am right now. Everyday. That doesnât mean I have given up. I just think if you accept who you are you will have a better result. We all take good care of the people and things we love most. My sister is my inspiration. One day we will all meet up and drink her under the table. Thatâs one thing I know I can beat her at! Since my drink of choice is vodka and I look like a potato from which vodka is made, I will love myself the best I can today and everyday. I encourage you to do the same.

Mother's Day workout with my trainer today. Almost empty gym, so my giant sweat stains were totally wasted! No one around to do my walk of glory in front of. Oh well, god knows I appreciated them!

Happy Motherâs Day!
SO my sister was due back from Thailand tomorrow and the crazy girl missed one of her flights! I got to call mom with that news on Motherâs Day - your daughter is stuck in Seoul in a seedy airport motel :)
My hubby got called in to the base but he called and flew over the house during a test flight to say allo I always think thatâs cool.
My biggest decision of the day today was which shade of nude polish to go with and do I feel like getting day drunk on French champagne or Italian prosecco.
I chose the latter it is lighter on calories ⌠For real it is.
These are my fur babies. Izzie and Newt, they go together like peas and carrots. As close to children as I will be having sadly. Matt got me a happy Motherâs Day cake and I made him take it to work with him otherwise I would have eaten the entire thing while he was away.
Itâs a beautiful day here today I am enjoying having nothing to do. No plans. No work. And looking forward to starting over with this get healthy kick tomorrow! I weighed in this morning at exactly my original start weight. Balls.
I am going to the Dr. this week about my puffiness. I havenât been having many bms and when I do they arenât anything to write home about. But now I have pain as well so a teensy bit concerned. I have surgery scheduled in September to remove a non cancerous cyst from my colon wall I think it is maybe acting up and that is why I am having issues back there. The cyst was too large to remove during a recent colonoscopy. If I am having pain because of the cyst my surgery will get bumped up :) holy TMI! My friends and family are tired of my bottom talk so this is my last venue in which to vent!

Yes, I DO count out 24 Teddy Grahams each night and have them as a snack before bed....what of it?  It's my one treat I look forward to, but I guess I must be asking too much out of life.  BECAUSE MY SON AND HUSBAND THE ANIMALS I LIVE WITH, must have decided that was too much of a treat for me and had to eat the entire box and leave me with only 5 F&^&ing Teddy Grahams!!!  Seriously?  I'm 19 bears short and I'm pissed!!! Â

Okay so here I am at the gym, minding my own business (never), and I notice one of the doctors I used to work with running on the treadmill across from me. Â Anyway, he finishes his endless run and then proceeds to walk back and forth in the gym, WIPING THE SWEAT OFF HIMSELF!!! Â Seriously?? Â Who does this guy think he is? Â He was actually wiping his back and neck off with paper towels while making the victory lap (MY VICTORY LAP!), around the gym! Â What a dick, right? Â Whatever....if thats what you need to do to feel good about yourself. Â I'll just post mine to Tumblr like a normal person. Â Jerk.
