Dawn stepping up and being Buffy's watcher in season 7 is so important to me. I love her enthusiasm about the gross and macabre. I love her leading research efforts while Buffy is busy training the Potentials. I love that she's somehow taught herself to read several dead languages in a few months. I love her seeing that her sister needs something and doing what she can to help. Dawn might not be a slayer (or a potential) but she sees everything that Buffy does for her friends and for the world and wants to do that, too. Dawn Summers I love you <3

I'm not necessarily rooting for the US in the world cup but I do think it would be funny if they made a deep run if only because I feel like, for countries that are actually good at international football, "You lost to the USAmericans" would make for god tier trash talk

1. Eating meat is morally neutral 2. There are many ethical ways butchering has been practiced for a long time 3. factory farming is unethical due to the abuse faced in the animal's life, not bc it results in the animal's death 4. Ethically raised and sourced meat is expensive and/or hard to find in many places 5. *there are people who CANNOT subsist on a plant based diet* for varied reasons, largely disabled folks - (allergies/GI disorders that already limit what a person can eat, people in recovery from restrictive eating disorders, people with ARFID and other sensory processing disorders) and people with little money and time on their hands to cook. 6. Vegans who are adamant about animal rights often have a major blind spot as to human rights abuses; the meatpacking industry is terrible for those who work in it, yes, but people are laboring hard for your grains and produce too, often in unethical conditions and for little pay, and Vegans will treat you like you're doing some kinda "gotcha" and spit vitriol at you whenever you point this out 7. It is not Wrong to eat only plant based certainly but when people start acting like it gives them a moral highground it shows starkly how little regard for fellow humans these people have 8. Just because YOU are disabled/broke/etc and can sustain veganism does not give you permission to harass somebody who says their disability or finances prevent it 9. The most ethical way to eat, if you can achieve it, is by buying things with a short supply chain that were grown locally by properly-paid laborers

feel like when i was younger i didnt pick up on a lot of the issues with how the first slayer is presented but my gd they really do spend all of Restless portraying her as animalistic and inhuman and then buffy makes a racist comment about her hair. after they disturbed her from her final resting death to use her as a tool weapon killer for the greater good. when she spent most of her very short life enslaved by the council to stand as a barrier between upper propriety and death and hold the whole worlds fate on her shoulders as a little girl forged into that shape of tool weapon killer. sineya they did you so dirty in life and death.... also hard not to draw parallels btwn that reanimation of sineya's spirit and what is done to buffy in season 6
