Post 5x11 (could also work as post-finale) where Oswald does tentatively enter a romantic relationship with someone else (maybe even at Ed's own encouragement for extra absurdity) and Ed thinks his jealousy is just perfectly reasonable irritation about having less of Oswald's time- to dedicate to planning their overthrow of Gotham of course- until he finds himself under the romantic interest's car with a pair of clippers in hand and has a sudden all-encompassing understanding realization that rattles him to his core and leaves him physically sick for at least a couple days. Made for each other in the worst ways, god bless

Most of the times adapting a character to be younger and hotter is the wrong choice but occasionally it produces miracles, like when they out the riddler and the penguin in the yaoi machine for Gotham

Ed fell for Oswald first and he fell harder and you can tell. Ed spent the entire series finale doing some crazy scheme because he thought Oswald told him to do it.
