Carrd
idk if anyone knows this but there are some (not enough) non-carceral resources like the thrive lifeline (non-carceral meaning they wont call the cops so you dont have to risk being incarcerated). theyve helped me before in similar situations. unfortunately theyve had to cut their hours due to lack of funding, so if you see this and can donate a little thatd be awesome. they do have a list of other non-carceral resources that you can access on their website.
Trans Lifeline is also good for trans people in the US and Canada
“Trans Lifeline’s firm policy against involving 911, emergency responders, or police on crisis calls to our hotline (unless an individual explicitly requests them)”
There's this really obscure forgotten DC hero named the Heckler, who's basically buggs bunny as a superhero, not having any powers or physically strong, but just really good at pissing people off until they accidentally deal with themselves.
Now they're interesting, but the REAL star of the show is one of his villains, John Doe the Generic Man, who's this guy in a stark white suit with flat pink unshaded, untextured skin with no features or anything who talks like chatGPT and has black text over his face that explains what he's feeling at the moment. That guy is fucking fascinating.
I first heard about this guy from the "League of regrettable superheroes" Books, (The supervillain one, obviously) and He stuck with me because its such an interesting concept. not only is HE generic, but he has the power to make anything he TOUCHES generic too. I never actually got to experience his whole deal as an actual character, since this was just an info book that tells you about the character, so seeing these panels it really cool.
Kink at pride by Clover contains 65 horses
So Much Hot Ink
Hot Take That Divide
Spill A Little More Over Kink
And Pride
Leather Chaps Cheeks Out
Leather Daddy Whats It All About
Leather Choker Full Time Submission
Leather Boots Dominatrix On A Mission
You Say We Need Respectability
But To Me It Seem So Much More Like Covert Hostility
Quick To Kick Another Queer Under The Bus
Quick To Blame Complain Discourse And Discuss
I Hear Only You Throw That Stormy Callout
I Hear Only You Tell The Outcast Begone Quick
But Kinky People Care For Me When I Was Down And Out
And Where Were You When It Was Time To Throw A Brick

incredible sounds happening here
ppl who don’t make an effort to listen to their partner(s) abt their interests bc they “don’t like it” scare me
exactly. it’s not about whether you like it or understand it. it’s about sharing their joy and learning about who they are.
Real and true
bacteriography portrait of Five Pebbles I made from yeast , mold , acrylic paints and other stuff i found
i think it's actually really horrifying and detrimental that it's considered socially unacceptable to tell parents when they are making mistakes while raising their kids
"don't tell me how to raise my kids" is seen as a good defense and it's so disturbing to me.
children are not your property that you can do whatever you like with.
giving birth or impregnating someone or adopting doesn't give you some inherent wisdom that means you can never fuck up.
and you shouldn't have the right to abuse or neglect or misinform a child just because you have legal guardianship of them.
they deserve to have others speak up on their behalf. i don't care if it hurts your ego.
the vast majority of the time, it is all about ego and control btw.
a staggering amount of parents view their children as their property and see advice as someone trying to take away their "deserved" control.
a ton of them are more concerned with being perceived as a good parent over actually being one.
Hamlet adaptation where Hamlet is a vlogger and all his soliloquies are breakdowns he uploads to YouTube
… I am unironically here for this
this is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life
This is - legitimately - my favourite delivery of Shakespeare I have EVER seen (and I have seen some good-ass productions yo, in the Globe Theatre itself even). Like seriously, even though the words are unchanged, he’s stripped away ALL of the archaic pretense and assumed grandeur of ~presenting the bard~ that makes even the most wildly talented of actors and innovative of productions inherently inaccessible to a modern audience. Like, they’re still great, they can still communicate the message and (some) of the nuance, but they’re still always a step removed from being identifiable to any viewer’s lived experience. They’re still always reciting 15th century poetry. But this guy? This guy is like, screw iambic pentameter, to hell with being precious about the material, HOW WOULD AN ACTUAL PERSON SAY THIS SHIT?
Like this. And it’s beautiful. It’s beautiful to hear a soliloquy I loved so much already, and have it come to life in a way it never, ever, did before. I feel like I grasp his motivations, his twists and turns, no longer on an academic level but on a visceral, instinctive one. Because he’s presenting his mental and emotional journey in a way that speaks honestly, like a real person.
So yeah, this shit post? I love it. Deeply and sincerely.
A post about this went round recently, and I’m delighted to announce she’s since come out as trans and goes by Jasmine 🏳️⚧️
