Outside, the silence of the cold air dissipated quickly. It was soon filled with chaos and Sirens.
Peter had heard it come through a police radar, across town an armored truck was hijacked. The men who stole it were armed and considered extremely dangerous.
Peter shook his head as he slipped on his mask.
“Armed and dumb most likely” He muttered, annoyed with the night already. Though he couldn’t figure out why. Or more he didn’t want to admit why.
He hated how he felt giving you the cold shoulder. His mind kept playing the pout on your face when you turned to see he was no longer there.
“Focus Parker!” He reminded himself, or was he hearing your voice now? Like you’ve said to him every time you were studying together and he’d try working out a crime from the previous night in his head, instead of the assignment.
“If I was an armored truck, where would I be?” He pondered swinging from building to building, trying to climb higher for a better view.
Down below, police cars were setting up a blockade, complete with a spike strip, to try to stop the bandits from escaping their jurisdiction and causing any damage.
“Where are they?” Asked a police sergeant into his car radio.
“They’re heading your way on 5th Ave. And it looks like they’re not alone!” The chopper police responded.
“What do you mean not alone? Did they meet up with their gang or something?” He questioned, thinking there were only two of them in one armored truck, was one thing taking on a gang to boot was something he wasn’t sure they were prepared for.
“Give me that.” He heard a voice say. “ It’s that no-good Spider-Man!” The voice cried out with hatred.
“Who are you? And where did my deputy go?” The sergeant grilled
“I’m J. Jonah Jameson, I have full press access thanks to your benefactor.” He argued, “Now I don’t want any of you boys in blue to forget the Spider Freak is a wanted criminal and murder!”
“Don’t you worry. We haven’t forgotten what he did to one of our own.” The Sergeant remarked, looking darkly at the tops of the nearby buildings.
High above Peter could make out the incoming armored vehicle.
Following closely above it was a police helicopter. Looking over his shoulder, he noticed the barricade being set up, but the armoured truck was going too fast.
“They need more time. I’ve got to get them to chase me or find some way to slow them down.” Peter muttered.
He really didn’t want to be mixed up dealing with the cops tonight but if he didn’t step in someone was going to get hurt.

I told my girlfriend to think of quitting vaping as training her endurance by seeing how long she can run before she gets tired, then doing it again and hoping to go further next time. She said it really helped her.
This is the stages of change model, with each circle being a part of the process of growth. You'll notice how relapse is not a failing of the model, or a set back, but an active step in continuing to grow and change. Everytime you relapse, you learn something; maybe a certain time of year is difficult for you. Maybe certain people push you back into the habit. Maybe your other coping skills/replacement habits didn't work how you wanted and you need to strengthen them, or develop new ones. Maybe it's not quite as clear cut and you need to spend the time figuring out what exactly went wrong so you can catch it next time. It doesn't matter the exact lesson, but it's part of the process.
I finally got a tattoo I've been wanting since my grandpa passed away in 2013! And I really wanted it even more when my grandma passed away a year ago last December. Plus with my mom having to fight breast cancer it felt like I need to get it down ASAP and stop wasting time.
In honor of all those close to me that have battled or are battling cancer. Each character will represent a different family member and their type of cancer
