me, soaking my hands in ice-brine: be right there ~

oh sure! salt disrupts ice crystals (for reasons beyond me. probably something to do with ions) which causes the water to melt, but melting requires energy as a liquid is a higher energy state than a solid at the same temperature, so the brine winds up colder than the either the ice or water you started with. pretty neat!
