but on a slight deeper level... rafayel's lemurian sense of smell is not like humans - it's moreso like to a big predator. it's talked a lot online about how he probably moves that way too -- he's been known to appear suddenly behind the mc, grabbing her wrist out of the blue, chasing / following her places. i don't think its translated too differently to consider along with his quick reflexes, keen vision, there's also a heightened sense of smell. and raf can probably smell others from a distance and when its the scent of his beloved ... ehehe well.

i imagine its the sweetest aphrodisiac. the scent can cloud his mind on his weakest days (ebb day 🐟), can make him glassy eyed faster than a drink or drug ever could, like he could zone out completely on the hunger of such a smell.

i wouldn't be surprised if he keeps certain clothes items, even spends whole mornings smelling the pillow and other things with the lingering scent of his s.o. still on it. he probably would go wild about a perfume date where he gets to 1) make a perfume or 2) buy a very pricey one for his partner just so he can 'test' it out later in private! 😏
