i really love how despite the obvious creepypasta roots weird route has the really horror isn’t anything particularly violent or graphic. obviously there is violence yes berdly and some enemies die but it’s not any more visceral than something you could see in like. kirby. which is saying, it’s disturbing for the context it’s in, but it's tame in comparison to hyper realistic blood eyes sonic. the actual horror of the route is seeing two children get so traumatised by you essentially abusing them into compliance that they end up killing themselves. in a way that’s uncomfortably personal and realistic. it’s using the trappings of old creepypasta to tell a story that is in large part about childhood abuse and trauma that puts you uncomfortably close to the pain being caused. which is absolutely a thing that would happen in the text of a creepypasta this isn’t a oh creepypasta bad and only hyper realistic blood eyes thing. but it’s not something the audience can actually be pulled into in a story as easily. and also there would be some hyper realistic blood eyes.
