all you have to do is post literally one time defending jewish people and antisemites will just automatically assume you must be jewish and that's actually pretty chilling because if i posted being like "actually, i think it's crazy to hate black people just because they're black." that would not immediately signal people to assume that i'm black. jewish people are so inherently ostracized from every side of the political spectrum that even the mildest defense MUST only be coming from another jew because who else would ever bother.

I have been assumed Jewish by Jew haters a LOT. What's much more sad to me is that I've had Jews assume I must also be a Jew because there's such a lack of support outside the Jewish community for Jews, and that is so incredibly fucked up.

The doctors championing lobotomies in the '40s and '50s proclaimed with their whole chest that they were on the revolutionary cutting edge of mental health treatment. It's a might-makes-right argument with commitment issues that hinges entirely on your side eventually accumulating enough victories to write the textbooks. Defend your premise on its own merits or die.
