A vata dominant person can remain balanced by perking up the digestion. A good bowel in the morning is another primary requisite for keeping vata in check. The best remedy for vata is mixing a pinch of himalayan rock salt (sendha namak), two pinches of dry ginger powder (sonth) with one teaspoon of molten cow ghee. Consume this mixture before breakfast everyday.
For aches due to air conditioned environment, you must wear a pullover or light jacket to keep your upper body warm. Keep this garment in your office cabinet. In addition, you can wear a cap that can cover your head and ears.

Hello Anastasia, You may be referring to the gesture of the tortoise. The mudra is called as Kashyapa Mudra. There is no bad sign associated with this gesture. It is a mudra for protection. Just sit straight and close your eyes. Do this mudra for five minutes. You will experience a rush of energy in your fists and within five minutes you will feel a surge of strength in your arms and shoulders. Anything which makes you feel strong cannot be bad.

Vayu Mudra – get rid of stubborn wind Excessive wind (gas) is caused by improper digestion and accumulation of waste inside intestine. There are over 50 kinds of winds that produce disorders like flatulence (stomach/intestinal gas), rheumatism, sciatica, trembling of hands, muscular/joint aches, Parkinson’s disease and nervous degeneration. Vayu mudra should be practiced to remove flatulence. Vayu mudra relieves muscular and joint ache when practiced in combination with Prana mudra. Apana Vayu Mudra – for healthy heart and first line of defense for heart attack The Apana Vayu Mudra can be practiced for strengthening and healing of heart. The mudra acts as first aid at the time of heart attack. Holding the mudra during heart attack averts the possibility of heart failure. You need to press the tip of the index finger on the base of the thumb and join the tip of middle and ring finger to the tip of the thumb. Heart patients can do the mudra for 10-15 minutes thrice in a day. The heart patients in addition to Apana Vayu mudra should learn to relax.
