Not in the same realm, but I was sexually assaulted by a coworker while working for Amazon. As a man I didn’t think anyone would believe me, because these things “don’t happen to men”, but I told a coworker I trusted who brought me to HR where I reported what happened. Weeks went by of me returning to ask for updates on the person who did it, until they eventually told me they “reviewed the camera footage and it wasn’t deliberate enough for them to take action”. Corporations don’t care about you and Human Resources is there to protect the employer, not the employee.
