A moment in the storm ⚡️
Finally migraine free after two days straight and headache free after a week! These were in addition to mundane efforts (rest, hydration, nourishing food, EO roll-ons and arnica CBD cream) and prescription + OTC medications. I did create a new sigil and add that on as well, but didn’t get a pic.
My muscles are relaxed
Ease my migraine
Ease my neck pain
My headache goes away
My back is relaxed and free from pain
My pain is manageable
My shoulders are relaxed and free from pain (not pictured)
If you’re looking for a more discreet way to use sigils to help with symptoms, here are a few tips:
Draw somewhere that can be easily covered
Draw with oils, balms, pain cream or lotion.
Draw with water and let it evaporate, or by tracing your finger on your skin
Draw on the inside of a bandaid (also nice because you can place it wherever you’d like if there’s a certain spot the pain feels worse)
Draw on a piece of paper and keep it on your person
I will say I personally find these more effective if they’re physically on your body, but I’ve definitely had sigils work while drawn on paper and in my pocket. There is something to be said about the gentleness of drawing on your hopes for ease and improvement, and the tangibility of something you can see when so much of your suffering and efforts feel invisible.
You can find all my spoonie sigils here:

10 hygiea⚕️
10 hygiea is an asteroid named after hygieia, the greek goddess of good health, personal hygiene, cleanliness, protection from disease, and recovering from illness. hygieia is the daughter of asclepius, the greek god of medicine and healing.
hygiea was discovered on april 12th, 1849 by italian astronomer annibale de gasparis at the astronomical observatory of capodimonte in naples, italy. using the italian spelling, hygiea was originally named igea borbonica by ernesto capocci belmonte, a friend of de gasparis and director of the capodimonte observator at the time. eventually the spelling of the name was changed from the italian form to the latin form to match that of the other planets (notice the difference in spelling between the name of the minor planet and the name of the goddess - the current spelling of the asteroid's name is the modern english version and was officially adopted in the 1860s).
fun facts: ◇ the word "hygiene" is named for the goddess hygieia! ◇ hygieia is mentioned by name in the greek hippocratic oath, which is the oath of ethics taken by physicians - "i swear by apollo healer, by asclepius, by hygieia, by panacea, and by all the gods and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that i will carry out, according to my ability and judgment, this oath and this indenture."
hygiea is a c-type asteroid that has a dark, carbonaceous surface consisting of hydrated and ammoniated silicate minerals, with carbonates and water ice; its subsurface likely contains a large fraction of water ice. because it is so dark and carbon-rich, it reflects very little sunlight. it's roughly 270 miles in diameter, orbits the sun every 2,030 days, and completes its rotation every 13.83 hours. its chemical and elemental composition is exceptionally close to that of ceres. it is the 10th discovered asteroid in history. it is the 4th largest asteroid in our solar system and is in the running for the title of minor planet for 2 reasons - it already orbits our sun, and it's nearly spherical in shape. but, as of right now, the IAU (international astronomical union) has not reclassified it as such.
◇ hygiea remains largely unexplored as it has never been visited by any space probes but the suspected presence of water ice below its surface correlates with cleanliness and the possibility of life, as well as the presence of ammonia - another building block of life and an excellent cleanser.

250 years and most native tribal groups continue to not be federally recognized. Embarrassing!
Hey so a small thing that literally everyone who sees this is capable of is correcting any “used to” statements about native people in this country.
“Native people used to live in this National Park” No. They still do.
“Native people used to tell these stories-” No. They still do.
“Native people used to use this plant as a natural remedy-” No. They still do.
Better yet, familiarize yourself with the tribes local to you. Odds are, they do not yet have federal recognition. You can still read the stories they have to share, you can share their ongoing battle for recognition with others, you can sign petitions and spread the word to others to do so as well. But do something.
We are not contained between the pages of history books. We are still a real Peoples who are living, breathing and fighting for our descendants to know who they are the same way our ancestors fought for us to know who we are. Don’t let the propaganda that we’re a dying race, or that we’re already gone, fool you.
Anyway, happy “Independence Day”
Gentle Magic: 5 Low-Energy Activities
Even on days when your physical or mental energy is low, you can still nurture your craft and stay connected to your practice. Here are five simple, low-effort ways to bring magic into your day:
1. Light a Candle & Say Thank You: A ritual doesn't have to be long to be powerful. Lighting a candle and simply offering a word of thanks takes only seconds but effectively connects you to your deities or intentions.
2. Share a Simple Offering: You don't need elaborate preparations. Offer a portion of a meal, snack, or drink that you are already consuming as a gesture of hospitality and connection.
3. Dedicate Your Daily Chores: Transform mundane tasks into magical acts. Dedicate a cleaning task you are already doing, like vacuuming or folding laundry, to a specific deity or a personal intention.
4. Low-Effort Spiritual Cleansing: Clear the energy in your room without physical strain. Use incense, a spiritual spray, or even a quick "ritual sweep" to banish negativity and reset your space.
5. Connect with Nature at Home: Ground yourself by performing small, nurturing acts like watering your household plants or practicing a "low-effort glamour" for self-love.
“I think America should be taken by Canada instead” No, I think America should be returned to its Indigenous tribes, while Canada should return to the First Nations, the Inuit and the Métis.
“I think America should be taken by Denmark instead” No, I think America should be returned to its Indigenous tribes while Denmark returns Greenland to the Kalaallit, the Tunumiit and the Inughuit.
“I think Texas should be taken by Mexico” No, I think Texas should be returned to the Apache.
“I think Florida should be taken by Cuba” No, I think Florida should be returned to the Seminole.
“I think the Blue states should form their own country” No, I think the Blue states should return to the Chinook, the Yakama, the Nimíipuu, the Pomo, the Chumash, the Diné, the Wôbanaki, the Massachuset, the Haudenosaunee, the Pequot, the Lenape tribes, and the Inuit, the Unangax̂ and the Tlingit tribes of Alaska.
Stop roleplaying colonialism with a leftist coat of paint and give land back to its fucking Natives.
"I think America should return to like 3 people that no longer exist"
Guys, shut up, it's over. At least balkanize into actually existing nations.
oh my god can Europeans shut the FUCK up over there???
Indigenous nations, tribes and peoples of so-called “america” do exist right now as I type this; so many of their cultures, language and life ways are retained through great & active efforts over generations upon generations despite colonization and y’all would know that if you even tried to engage w/ any of them once - today - let alone read their history. Indigenous nations here have their own tribal governments so what you’re claiming would be laughable but instead it’s just pathetic and vile.
Fuck you. Ya’ll are the fucking seeds of white supremacy and settler-colonialism too + you know zero about the history nor the current conditions on Turtle Island. Just shut the hell up.
Anyway here’s a non exhaustive decolonial reading list for everyone who isn’t a dumbshit via Rick Tabenunaka:

Hoodoo Terms: Two Headed
A Two Headed Doctor or Spiritualist is someone whom can see the natural and supernatural world. Using their gift they aid the community around them. Two Headed individuals are usually born with the gift and come from spiritual bloodlines.
I have personally seen and known many Hoodoos who are Two Headed spiritual, but there is also a rising New Age definition among the diaspora. In 2020 a Black journalist and Rootworker who goes by Sayhira requested for the term Two Head to be expanded to include Black gender variances. As progressive as they claimed to be I find saying interracial marriage and relations w/ other races is wrong to be disgusting. I reject their version.
The Hoodoo Masterpost
Given how hard it is to find reliable hoodoo/rootwork/conjure resources on Tumblr, I’ve created this compilation of as many posts, spells, tutorials, and informative posts as I can find! The vast majority of them were written by Africana, Afro-Latinx, or Latinx witches, rootworkers, and hoodoo witches.
All credit goes to the original authors of each post and resource. Please message me if you want something added/removed for any reason!

I am going to try to recreate this masterpost here, on Bluesky and on my personal website. This was such an amazing resource to have as a young Hoodoo trapped in an abusive christian household and I want other young Hoodoos to have the same♥
Needed to make a mojo bag since I'm trying to have my business take off!...
Can't wait until the materials come for the ones that will be in the shop though!

🌿✨ What Is Hoodoo? ✨🌿
Babyyy, Hoodoo ain't no aesthetic. It ain't no trend. It ain't somethin' you pick up 'cause it look cute on Pinterest. 🤎
Hoodoo is an African American folk spiritual tradition that was built by our ancestors using faith, prayer, roots, herbs, Psalms, and resilience. It was born outta survival, protection, healing, justice, and keeping hope alive through generations.
Around here, we pray just as much as we work our roots. 🕯️🌿 One hand on the Bible, the other hand fixin' what need to be fixed.
Hoodoo can include things like: 🍃 Spiritual baths 🕯️ Candle work 📜 Petition papers 🌿 Roots & herbs 📖 Psalms & prayer 🧿 Protection work 💰 Blessing & prosperity work 👵🏾 Honoring our ancestors
At the end of the day, Hoodoo is about relationship; relationship with God, with your ancestors (if that's part of your practice), and with the wisdom passed down through generations.
So before you worry 'bout buyin' every herb and every candle... start with respect. Learn the history. Pray. Read. Listen. Let the roots teach you. 🤎🌾
"The roots been knowin' the way long before we got here." 🪶✨
The Mmoatia [Ashanti mythology; Ghanaian mythology]
The Ashanti people – who live in Ghana – have a rich mythology full of wondrous beings and dangerous monsters. Among them are the Mmoatia, small human-like creatures that are often compared with fairies. This was a very widespread belief among the Ashanti, many of whom were convinced that they saw the Mmoatia at least once. These stories were so believable that some of the British officers wrote that there must be a hidden pigmy folk in the region. Rattray, the author of the book sourced below, once offered money for the capture of such a being.
They resemble tiny humans, about 30 cm (1 foot) in height, but with backwards feet (interestingly, backwards feet are a common trait associated with supernatural human-like creatures in mythology of several civilizations, such as several Brazilian native tribes. But I digress). They do not grow old, being creatures of magic. Mmoatia can move at high speeds. Modern illustrations often depict them with wings, but this was not mentioned in any sources I could find so I believe this to be a modern addition, probably owing to their association with European fairies.
They are incapable of normal speech, but can communicate with each other by way of a language that consists entirely of whistling. Despite this, the Mmoatia are the messengers of the gods (the Abosom). They come in three variants: white, red and black versions. The black Mmoatia are kind and innocent in general. The white and red ones, however, are pranksters who take pleasure from messing with people. Typical Mmoatia pranks include stealing food and palm-wine. Some of these beings also dabble in black magic, like witches and sorcerers. These two variants are also said to be capable of making powerful talismans which they might occasionally trade with humans. If you leave the right currency on a rock and return later, the money would be gone and a talisman would be put in its place. In addition, red Mmoatia are in league with witches (Abayifo), which were feared by the Ashanti.
A suman, which is a magical talisman, its granted its power by the Mmoatia, ghosts of deceased hunters and the Sunsum (plant spirits). Though some Ashanti people believe that true suman talismans are only made by Mmoatia.
These creatures live in remote settlements, and sometimes take on human apprentices to live with them for 40 days and 40 nights. The human guest is then taught healing arts, and when he finishes this apprenticeship he has become a Sumankwafo, a type of shaman or medicine man. You cannot claim this title without having learned from the Mmoatia. Living with these beings can be strange and difficult: according to one account from a medicine man, each day the initiate’s tongue is touched once with an egg. This is the only food he received during his time with the Mmoatia.
I do not know whether this is actually related, but there are accounts of tribes in the northern areas along the Ghanaian Gold Coast who communicate with a language that heavily incorporates whistling.
