since october is gullah geechee heritage month, hoodoo heritage month, and halloween season, i figured i’d paint something to represent them all!

Easy Homemade Florida Water Recipe No.1 Enchant your herbs using the following tags.

Lavender/Lavanda - for cleansing, protection and peace of home, mind, body and spirit

Orange/Naranja - for spiritual cleansing, to attract good fortune and luck, removal of stagnant energy.

Rosemary/Romero- for cleansing, protection

Cinnamon/Canela - for speed, to attract good luck and fortune

Cloves/Clavo - for domination of adverse conditions, to attract good luck and fortune, to remove negativity and purify spiritual vibrations

Mint/Mentha - for purification of energy, cleansing, protection and the attraction of good luck and fortune

Tangerine/Mandarina - for purification, to attract positive energy, uplift and bring abundance, to clear away negative influences

Lemon/Limon - to purify, cleanse and promote clarity

Mix together in a decent sized bottle, using distilled water and one cup of cheap high proof Vodka or Rum as a preservative, charge on your altar, in the moonlight or using your prayers.

— a spell for cutie pies who want to enhance their magnetism! 🎀

ingredients:

1. pink candle (mold does not matter but i would say do 3 if you choose to use bday candles)

2. you can add any oils of your choice but i would suggest ylang ylang, orange, or jasmine. you also don’t need any oil at all if you don’t want to put any on the candle and you’re more of a season the pan/plate/tray instead of the candle kind of critter.

3. and with that, here are your herbs!: rosehips, rosemary, chicory, and cinnamon

take a bath on the new moon and burn the candle once you relax into your bath. you have the option to add the herbs into the bath, do not recommend bathing in cinnamon tho, baby so let’s not do that one and maybe not rosehips because i’m just not sure. i’m aware that they are steeped for tea and eaten but idk about baths..but as far as i know, the other herbs are safe to bathe in.

please do your own research before performing any spells you haven’t created in your own, love. please be safe and cautious.

before adding these herbs to dress the candle or prep your bath, pray to them and ask them to:

rosehips: increase energies in spells, self love, love magick, glamour magick, sweetening, magnetism — some from those you can ask her to bring a specific energy into your life if she would like, and thank her. i ask for the sweetening, self love, and the magnetism of the herb.

rosemary: another glamour herb, protection, love magick, healing — repeat the same step. the prayer to gain permission really does help you build the important relationship needed to bring about change into your life. spirits need to be respected just like we respect the living. i ask for the protective, glamour, and healing aspects of rosemary in my prayer.

chicory: cleansing, purifying, transformative, money attracting — i ask and focus on the money and transformative aspect of chicory for this spell because prince$$e$ get money! <3

cinnamon: money, sex, love, enhancing energy, attraction — i use the cinnamon to come off sexy and enhance the spell. i love adding a fiery touch to a spell. this, i would say is optional.

let the candle burn through the night, ju$t like a princess would and do this every friday for a month! see if you notice a difference. relax into this bath. be present in this bath. speak sweetly into this bath and play sweet music for yourself in this bath if you’d like. moisturized yourself with love and such care. wear soft clothing and relax right into sleep with some tea. create the princess vibe! <3

a white candle, a cup of water and 15 mins is really all you need.

place your white candle and glass of water on your altar. your altar can be anything: the top of a dresser or nightstand, a mantle, a small table, a window sill, anything.

light your candle and call on your ancestors. if you know their names, call them out if you want. or just say “to my ancestors, known and unknown, i welcome you here now. i look forward to getting to know you.”

then take a couple minutes and just listen. you may notice a change in the temperature, or a song stuck in your head. maybe you don’t hear or feel anything at all. that’s okay. it takes time to get to know someone in the physical, so it makes sense that it take some time in the spiritual as well.

spend a couple minutes once a week, talking to and listening for your ancestors. start with 2 minutes, then 5 etc. refresh the water once a week. increase the number of times you’re at your altar slowly. you don’t have to go all out all at once, trust me.

after a while you can start giving different offerings like: coffee, tea, likka, tobacco, dragons blood, food ect. again, don’t go all out all at once.

personally, since i’ve started over, i only give big offerings on first sunday. i make a nice sunday dinner complete with dessert for my ancestors the first sunday of every month. i struggle with my mental health and having low energy and this works for both me and my ancestors. figure out what works for you and yours.

also, remember your ancestors are more understanding than we think. you may think they don’t understand queerness, mental illness, disability etc but i promise you they do. you are not the first and you won’t be the last.
