Ingredients: 1 lb ground turkey. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of bacon. 4 slices of tomato. 4 slices of Swiss cheese. 2 tablespoons butter. 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour. 1 cup milk. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon paprika. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. Fresh parsley for garnish.
Instructions: Cook the bacon slices in a skillet until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Stir in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour to create a roux. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly. Slowly whisk in 1 cup of milk, and continue to cook until the mixture thickens and becomes smooth. Stir in 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 1/4 cup of grated Pecorino Romano cheese until melted and creamy. Season the cheese sauce with 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon of paprika, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and remove from heat. Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle over medium-high heat. Form the ground turkey into four burger patties and season with salt and pepper. Grill the turkey burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165F 74C. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each burger to melt. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill until lightly browned. To assemble the burgers, place a turkey patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a slice of bacon, a slice of tomato, and a generous drizzle of the cheese sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and cover with the top half of the bun. Serve the Hot Browns Burgers immediately, and enjoy!
