📍🇸🇪 @cafehusaren 📸 The house where Café Husaren is located is the largest in all of Haga and dates back to the 19th century. ✨️ The whole house is K-Märkt, which means “listed building” in Swedish, it is an important building whose architecture cannot be changed without permission from the government, so to speak. The architecture belongs to the Structuralism movement. 🪞 In the beautiful café premises there is one of the very few preserved glass ceilings from the end of the 19th century with beautiful stucco work. 🏦 The premises have previously housed both banking and hat sales, since the late 1980s it has been one of Gothenburg's classic cafés. ♟️ The name Husaren, The Hussar, comes from the street where the cafe is located, which itself got its name from the story of Haga. 🪖 In the 17th century, when Sweden was at war with Denmark, the whole Haga was a military area, hence several street names with allusions to war and soldiers. @goteborgcom @hagagoteborg #lauradarkfirephotography #haganygata #haga #hagagöteborg #cafehusaren #göteborg #goteborgcom (at Café Husaren - home of Hagabullen) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp0QvaIMrsD/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
