Shifting is like floating on water. If you pressure yourself thinking âI must floatâ, you tense up and you sink. If you relax, let go, and trust; you start floating effortlessly.
Iâve been applying a new way of thinking about shifting the past few days. Mainly, Iâve stopped thinking about shifting as a trip (as âtraveling a distanceâ) and started thinking about it more in terms of tuning in. This way, instead of forcing myself to feel a movement or a âshiftâ every time I attempt, Iâm measuring my success in terms of calibration. This helps me drop the pressure for immediate results and consequently distinguish between two types of experiences intuitively; my DR and my CR.
When my CR appears in my thoughts, I donât jump to conclusions thinking Iâm failing, or Iâm still here. Instead I just think âIâm tuned to a specific channel, and Iâm calibrating to tune to another.â This way I relax and I allow my DR to come into my focus.
ËËâš ęŁŕ§â Theoretical Back Up
Preamble:
If youâre anything like me, being told what to do isnât enoughâyou want to get into the core of it. If your mind works anything like mine, youâre gonna ask a lot of questions and youâre always gonna find something to complain about (or a way to âsabotageâ the method). This isnât necessarily bad; itâs the aspect of a scientific mind.
When practicing Reality Shifting, itâs often advised to suspend disbelief in order to achieve a state of relaxation and autosuggestion. But if youâre anything like me, again, this method might be impossible for you. Because youâre probably more resistant to autosuggestion and self-induction than other people. My purpose is to find a methodology for minds like mine to achieve Shifting. In order for that, Iâm gonna try to back up every one of my posts with theory and analysis. Think of this as a way to demonstrate to youâand myselfâthat shifting isnât âwish makingâ or âfantasizingâ; but an actual, meaningful practice.
The theory:
The âTuning Methodâ is consistent with various theories in the science of consciousness but particularly with William Jamesâ theory of the âbrain as a transmitterâ. This is a very old theory of consciousness (James envisioned it in 1898) but it influenced the study of consciousness and is the foundation to Neutral Monism, an analytical philosophy that supports something like âexperienceâ being the fundamental substance of reality (opposed to purely matter, which is the vision of materialism and physicalism and other theories that would restrict something like shifting being possible).
In his conference titled Human Immortality: Two Supposed Objections, he elaborated an argument against the materialist assumption that âif the brain produces consciousness, when the brain dies, consciousness disappearsâ: that the brain is not the creator of consciousness but a âtransmitterâ of it, working as a filter. He used two analogies:
⌠̣̣ Ű ď¸ľ The lens or glass: The brain is like a colored glass that allows part of the sunlight to pass through it. If the glass breaks, the light does not disappear; it is simply no longer restricted or "filtered" by that particular shape.
⌠̣̣ Ű ď¸ľ The valve: The brain acts as a valve that reduces "cosmic consciousness" to a limited range, useful for biological survival.
But donât make the mistake of thinking that James was proposing that the brain (matter) and consciousness are two different things. What he proposes is that thereâs only âinformationâ (pure experience) and the brain is âorganized informationâ, not a material substance.
James didnât come up with these on the spot. He was a philosopher, a psychologist and a scientist; he spent a lifetime tracking the logical flaws within materialism and the clues he found led him to this hypothesis. His thought was largely debated by philosopher Bertrand Russell years later, only for Russell to change his mind in later life and adopt Jamesâ theory. The idea that the brain is a transmitter and not a generator is the most parsimonious one given the evidence.
And hereâs the thing; if James was rightâif the brain is a filterer of reality instead of a generator of consciousness; then âinformationâ about any given reality is already out there, and the brain simply âtunesâ into a specific set of it. Each reality contains a set of information that the brain is capable of âfilteringâ in or out. (Iâm using this language to make it easier to imagine, but in Jamesâ view there is no material âbrainâ filtering anything out; itâs just experience organizing itself).
When youâre trying to reach your DR by traveling there, youâre monitoring the experience. Neurology says: youâre engaging your frontal cortex, which is the opposite of a relaxed state. James would say that engaging your frontal cortex is just consciousness organizing information in a way that produces a specific set of causalities. What follows is that by learning to âtune inâ youâre learning to organize information to produce the experience that you want (your DR).
In simpler words:
1. Youâre pure consciousness, but you donât know.
2. You pressure yourself to reach your DR.
3. You tune into the experience (organized information) of âbrain engaging frontal cortexâ â tension â no DR.
If you try âtuning inâ instead:
1. Youâre pure consciousness, and now you know.
2. You relax.
3. You reach a state of disengaged observation rather than pressure â you calibrate to your DR â you shift.
So here it is. I hope the idea clears some doubts and helps others understand the logics of what Iâm implying. Iâm currently experimenting, but so far Iâve gotten the most results with this approach. Iâve managed to relax more, have a better mindset, and experience more certainty.
Iâve had two dreams related to my s/o already and entered a state of calibration where I reminisced my DR memories. I felt the weight and extension of that reality too. And Iâm overall more connected to it.

I kinda get how manifest (law of assumption) is basically shifting. But somehow the idea of shifting scares me so much. "Wake up in a diff reality" gives me more chills than just "manifest overnight". But it is really the same concept or i just made it up?
You're very correct anon, shifting and manifesting can be used interchangeable. The only difference are the stereotypical associations such as "waking up in a different reality". You are shifting right now, because you are manifesting as you never stop to manifest a moment of your existence.
Think about Paris right now, if you're feeling adventurous even Panem or Hogwarts. Whichever one you chose, you essentially shifted. Because you became aware of it in your imagination. Neither manifesting or shifting is anything else, acknowledging something existing. That doesn't necessarily mean you will wake up there tomorrow - but when you're also affirming you are there then, yes, you are actually there. Imagination (or the 4d) always comes first, you say you are in Paris, you shift your awareness onto Paris, hence you are in Paris.
There is no real difference between shifting and manifestation. Not in effort or definition or even distance. There is only one singular 3d or physical reality available for you to experience. You want green hair? Your 3d shifts for you to have green hair. You want to be in Hogwarts? Your 3d shifts so you are in Hogwarts. It's not only the same thing, both are inevitable.
If phrasing helps you feel more comfortable with those things, shifting is simply manifesting your environment overnight. The same way your every thought is curating your 3d right now, has been hours ago, and will forever continue to. It's not scary right now, I presume, perhaps use that as your reassurance
But if you donât believe me, hereâs a small success story that shows what I mean.
It was an ordinary day. A random image of a yellow headband popped into my head. No effort. No intention. No emotional charge. Just a passing thought like, oh thatâs cute, Iâd want one. Then I went on with my day and didnât think about it again.
And my mum came home that day with the exact same headband.
I hadnât told her. I hadnât asked. She doesnât usually buy random things either. There was no logical buildup to it. It just showed up.
What does this show?
Desire does not come from lack.
Desire is not you wanting something you donât have.
Desire is awareness brushing up against something that is already accessible to you.
If something was truly impossible for you, it wouldnât even register in your mind as a desire. You wouldnât think of it. You wouldnât imagine it. It wouldnât feel natural enough to pop up casually.
The fact that a desire appears at all means it exists within your field of awareness. And awareness does not create fantasies it cannot experience. It only recognises possibilities that are already there.
This is why forcing, chasing, or watching for signs treats the desire like itâs outside of you, when it already showed up from within you.
Manifestation happens when you let the decision stand on its own. You notice the desire. You accept it. Then you stop interfering.
The unfolding is not your job. The moment of recognition was enough.
Your senses only exist so that you can experience yourself in ways that you couldnât if you were in your true form (formless). Thatâs why your senses canât ever tell you what youâre experiencing or not! They arenât awareness (you), theyâre just by products of you wanting to experience yourself.

remember this: you do not need to do anything in order to get what you want
its you who decides the rules
if you think that you need to work on self-concept, then thats what will happen, and you will need to work on self-concept in order to manifest
if you believe its necessary to think about your manifestations, affirm every time you think about it, thats what reality shows you, and you will have to affirm a lot in order to get your desires (hence it working out tho! because you assumed it :) )
if you think that it takes time for manifestations to show up? it takes time
-> if you think that you have to believe it doesnt take time for them to show up? you have to believe it first for them to not take time, you get what im saying?
if you decide that none of your doubts have any impact, they wont
if you decide that you need to know everything there is to know about manifesting, if you constantly feel the need to re-read reddit posts or you will 'forget' how to do it, thats what reality shows you
if you decide that you need to let go of manifestations, that you cant think about them after you manifested or it will interfere with them? thats what will happen
if you decide that you have to live as the version who already has everything you desire, thats what you'll have to do for manifestations to show up
wake up: you decide
you make the rules! if you feel most comfortable shifting by counting to 100, thinking about your DR, or entering the void - great! thatâs what will help you shift. you donât have to force yourself to "just let it happen naturally" or act super detached about it. if you believe you have to have a certain mindset, but you genuinely donât feel that way, then of course nothing will happen - unless you assume that your mindset has no impact at all, obviously!
if you're not comfortable with letting go, if you think that through letting go you'll not be able to shift? no worries, then don't let go! or just simply decide that no matter what you do, it has already happened; if you had let go, or if you didnt, doesnt matter!
YOU are the source, the creator, the experiencer; therefore you decide. there are no rules. there is NOTHING that you need to know in order to shift that you didn't know before. you already have it all
just chill tf out, there's no need to stress about what to do or what not to do when it is you who controls all; do what YOU want, it will work out regardless, if you decide that it will. or don't and just know it is you who controls everything :)
Please I want you to read this post, mabye it is too long for you, but atleast try it, I think it might be impotant for you specially for those who feel stuck in shifting.
After being in this community for a long time, and going on and off about shifting, being able to experience the contrast of the shifting community through the years, there was something I just noticed (Sorry If I am late) is the fact that shifting is something about the inside, about our consciousness and awareness.
When we first think about shifting, or someone asks us what it is, the primal answer would be: Is moving your consciousness to another reality.
But the thing is that we really don't understand this.
What I mean with that is that we spend so much time focusing on the physical symptoms when we are "Trying to shift" thinking that the physical symptoms are the answer or the measure of how close we are to being in our dr, when this is not the real measure.
I have always been really curious about the process of shifting around 2020. How would the change of realities would feel, can you feel how the realities change with your 5 senses? Is something instant? Or mabye is something of going to sleep and wake up.
After chasing so many times the answer I just conclude that shifting is not a magical world or something extraordinary taken from a fantasy book but instead something that we do EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Shifting is something about the inside, that is something clear.
But sometimes it is even a lot more complicated than we thought because it is something we are not USED to.
But Yuna, what do you mean that is something about the inside?
I want you to imagine an apple, a green apple with a leaf in the steam.
You being able to imagine the apple in your head is the answer.
You can't SMELL the apple.
You can't TOUCH the apple.
You can't TASTE the apple.
You can't HEAR the apple.
And you can't SEE the apple.
Because it is not something physical we have and is not something that you have it in front of your face.
But instead in your head you definitely CAN do all of those 5 things.
I want you to stop for a second and think.
When you imagined the apple, did you felt how all your attention went to the apple inside of your head and FOR MILISECONDS.
You were aware of this reality but also with the apple in your head?
But you didn't need to count to 100, take deep breaths and listen to a subliminal.
No.
All you had to do is to change you attention to the apple. That's it.
Maybe it is hard for you to understand and tbh is completely fine because it took me a while to understand.
But the important thing I want you to understand is that your answer when someone asks what is Reality Shifting and you answer:
Is changing your consciousness to another reality.
I want you to simplify the MAX as possible how we can do that.
Forget about the subliminals, forget about counting to 100, forget about taking deep breaths.
But instead, focus on the MILLISECOND you were able to focus on the apple while you were in this reality, but at the same time you weren't here.

in Autobiography of a Yogi, Yogananda describes Sri Yukteswar seemingly manifesting an orange out of thin air while they were talking, as if it just appeared with no obvious physical cause, and everyone treated it as something completely normal.
people are fascinated by that story and understandably so. it immediately pulls attention toward the idea of physical reality bending, of something âimpossibleâ becoming possible.
but the moment we focus on whether the orange became physically real, we miss something else entirely.
why is the orange in imagination considered less âmanifestedâ than the orange in a hand?
when you picture an orange vividly, it appears in experience. when you hold an orange physically, it also appears in experience. both are known in the same place: awareness.
the difference is not in the appearing, but in how weâve been conditioned to label it. one is called âimaginary,â the other âphysical,â and we assign reality accordingly.
so when people ask whether itâs possible to manifest a physical orange, i find a different question more interesting: why do we dismiss the orange that has already appeared in imagination?
if consciousness is where all experience is known, then both oranges are already manifestations within it. one is simply interpreted differently.
experience is experience no matter the form.
the orange in your mind is not waiting to be manifested. it already is.

when you're manifesting you're shifting. when you're shifting you're manifesting. okay? okay.
so if you have an idea of a type of reality you're manifesting, for example i have a whole google doc of my desired end and it includes things like my desired friendships, connections, love life, circumstances, appearance, what i do, etc etc, that is a whole other reality that includes within me. yes? so in a sense, when you become aware of that you are permashifting to that reality.
do you understand? you are permashifting to your desired reality. this doesn't have to be a fame dr or anime dr, it can be a better version of your cr. your old reality that you leave behind by removing your awareness from it still exists, but there's another awareness that takes over the version of you in your old reality.
additionally, you are always shifting. you're not the same you from this morning. the reason why it looks like nothing changed is because reality is produced in frames by your brain, so things make sense and you don't lose your mind. this is where the concept of continuity comes in, which i'll talk about in a separate post.
but bottom line, i do think when we're manifesting and scripting our dream lives, appearances, sps, friendships etc we're basically permashifting to a better version of our crs.

AWARENESS IS THE ONLY REALITY (personal experience)
âYesterday,â I was driving for over 40 minutes to pick up my little sister, and it started POURING down on the drive there. I mean, it was raining cats and dogs! Thunder. Lightning. Dark and gloomy sky. The whole nine. The rain was coming down so hard that I considered pulling over to wait it out, since I was already having to drive slowly because I could barely see the road. But then, I had a remembrance. I recognized that experience wasn't happening to "me" â I was the one observing it as Source/Awareness/All That Is, therefore I could choose to be aware of another experience to project. So in that moment, I became aware of the rain slowing down, and it did. But then after it slowed down, I realized I actually wanted it to stop completely, so I became aware of the rain stopping and the sun shining...and it did. The rain stopped, the sky was blue again, and the sun was shining. I was focused on getting to my destination safely so I wasn't paying attention to the time, but all of this happened in the span of what I think was less than 10 minutes.
I didn't sit there and repeatedly affirm that the rain had stopped...to try and make it happen. I just knew that there was no separation between what "I" was seeing and seemingly experiencing through the senses and what I had chosen to be aware of. Even when it appeared that the stormy weather was still persisting, I stayed in the knowing that the rain had stopped and the sun was shining. I didn't necessarily feel powerful either for "controlling" the weather. It was actually quite mundane, because when you know yourself as reality and existence itself, no circumstance is bigger than the other.
I will be sharing more experiences of simply living as Source vs trying to make something happen through the limited character :)
In this blog i'm going to do my best to explain the mechanism behind shifting that i mentioned in this blog, while also keeping it relatively simple and easy to understand (gonna avoid any complex terminology). Then i'm going to give you my two cents on how to implement this knowledge in your journey yay.
Your subconscious dictates your reality, meaning that whatever your subconscious expects and considers as true is what you are able to become aware of.
The collection of âtruthsâ (assumptions) that your subconscious holds create (subconscious) expectations, which are essentially what make you shift from reality to reality. The reason why it is correct to say that we shift all the time without being conscious of it, is because our subconscious holds plenty of expectations (about pretty much everything)that we don't know of (they're subconscious for a reason) .
So to make sure this is easy to understand:
Subconscious -> has expectations that we donât necessarily know.
Expectations -> are what determines the realities that we become aware of.
Therefore, by not knowing which expectations we subconsciously hold, we donât pay attention to these shifts, because we are not consciously intending them. It seems as if stuff just 'casually happensâ.Â
Now, if you're reading this, you may or may not be the kind of person who tries to shift, wakes up, sees their cr, and (consciously) assumes that they cannot shift/ or that they are having trouble shifting. This happens because your subconscious expects you to wake up in your cr, despite trying to shift elsewhere.
Assuming that you can't shift and similar stuff on a conscious level once is not an issue per se, because as I said earlier, subconscious assumptions and expectations are the ones to dictate your reality.
However these subconscious expectations are built and maintained through patterns and repetition. Meaning that if everytime this scenarios happens, you go and repeat things like ''i can't shift' or ''shifting is hard for me'' you're only strenghtening the assumption that is preventing you from waking up in your dr in the first place.
It's also important to know that subconscious beliefs(or assumptions) and conscious ones are two separate things and that they can (and will) differ.
So if it ever happened to you to be very excited and convinced that you were going to shift to your desired reality on a specific day(or should i say night?), and you still woke up in your cr, you didn't do anything wrong during your method. Your subconscious simply didn't expect you to wake up in your desired reality.
Now luckily it's totally possible to change these expectations in your favor:
If you want to shift to your desired reality you must build subconscious assumptions and expectations that 'make you shift' in the same way: through patterns and repetition.
But how do you do that concretely?
From the way i see it, thereâs two ways to go about it, and one of them is the most âpromotedâ within the shifting community ( but funnily enough I think itâs the least efficient LOL).
The first way (the 'classic') you can shift knowing this is by directly creating the subconscious assumption that you already are in your dr. This usually looks like repeating affirmations like ââI am currently in my desired realityââ back to back during an attempt, most of the time while youâre in an altered state of consciousness( theta state, âvoidâ state etc). If this sounds familiar itâs because thatâs what most shifting methods are designed to do.
My ââissueââ with this approach is that in order to shift you are supposed to "impress your subconscious on a time crunch" (during your method/attempt) and if that doesnât happen, the already existing expectations will âprevailâ. For example, up to this point your subconscious knew that you were in your cr and/or that you always wake up in your cr after an attempt. -> if a new assumption contradicting and erasing the previous one is not formed, youâre gonna keep on be aware of your previous reality ( in other words still be in your cr).
This leads us to the second (and imo better) way to go about things, which is, forming and engraving the assumption that you shift to your dr whenever you intend/attempt to. The reason I like this more is because it, so to say, kills all the birds with one stone.
Instead of trying to get your subconscious believe that you are in your dr every single time you want to shift there, you build up the subconscious belief/knowledge that whenever you intend to shift to a desired reality, you do. Whether itâs by falling asleep here and waking up there, or âmeditatingâ your way there etc. In a way, this technique is the shortest of cuts.
And unlike the previous one, itâs not âlimitedâ to the duration of your attempt.You can affirm this at any given moment, without it being weird (you could affirm that youâre in your dr outside of your attempt, but that could feel as if u were just lying to yourself LOL).
This is also what most âexperienced shiftersâ do without even necessarily knowing it:
-> As they shift to their drs more and more frequently, they start to affirm and believe (consciously and/or subconsciously) that shifting is easy for them (or if theyâre used to using a specific method, they start to believe that they are able to shift using X method whenever they want).

if you assume you're a victim, that's what your reality will show you. the 3D doesn't matter. it never did. you're living your dream life right now. just accept it.
