Cheating on your spouse gives you some sort of brain rot that totally disconnects you from reality and the future consequences of what you’re doing. That is really the only way I can describe it. Occasionally I peek into pro-adultery subs and forums to study these people like bugs because their beliefs are so incomprehensible it is almost entertaining to see what they are telling themselves and others.

This is so true. An astounding amount of cheaters feel that their spouse betrayed them worse by leaving or not reacting to the news of their infidelity with the appropriate amount of heartbreak. It is so interesting how they’ll crawl back on the forums and be like “She moved on so quickly she must have been checked out of the relationship.” or “She started dating dating someone else so soon after the split she must have been cheating.” like….bitch, you cannot be certain what she was or was not doing but YOU can be certain YOU checked out and moved on WHILE YOU WERE STILL IN THE RELATIONSHIP.

I fully understand this isn’t everyone, but love the sect of m/m shippers who don’t want to be inserted into the relationship at all. dont want to fuck them, don’t want x/reader. this isn’t about me it’s about my boys being in situations and then fucking about it. contrary to popular belief not everyone has an innate sense of internal gender or care to have one or seek a name for it, some people go their whole lives without questioning their occupation in one of two gender roles, but for some people, if pressed, they don’t feel that internal sense of ‘i am a woman’ or ‘i am a man’, and in that case i feel the switch over to transgender vs cisgender relies on active identification of a gender other than the one they were assigned. if someone’s like ‘idk dude I just work here’ then that’s valid

A portion of people in the notes are like ‘but that makes you trans. That’s called being agender’ and another portion of people are going ‘this is how the majority of cis ppl feel and it’s NOT agender’ and personally I feel like both of them are missing the point here. Yes a lot of people identify as agender because of this feeling. Yes a lot of people with this same feeling still identify as cis. These are not mutually exclusive experiences and it doesn’t mean the agender people are secretly cis or the cis people are secretly agender. It just means they have very similar experiences of gender that they choose to conceptualize and label differently, and neither of them are mistaken or wrong to do so.

Something I see getting overlooked a lot when discussing queercoding in historical media is that in many cases it's not evidence that the writers secretly shipped it; it was aimed at straight dudes specifically to freak them out. Depicting a male villain as sexually interested in a male hero reads as horror to the cishet male audience. Like, Venom didn't spend years and years being blatantly characterised as Spider-Man's creepy stalker ex because Marvel's writers were all closeted yaoi fans. That was meant to be scary – which of course doesn't mean you can't read it differently, but don't give them credit they don't deserve!
