Ugh idk it'll be fine bc I'm fricking awesome so ima put my all into this audition, I just don't really want her to get the part and me not too bc in my head that would mean she was right that she is better than me?

Which is such a stupid thing to think and ik it's unhealthy

But she's just generally awesome person, like she's smarter funnier and prettier than me. But it never bugged me bc I was more creative than her and better at music. But like what if I was wrong

I think this is all just me svared of being inadequate

Basically my school is doing Oliver as the school play next year and I'm gonna audition for Nancy. But one of my closest friends is also doing so.

Now I'd like to preempt this with: I do genuinely like this friend and we are really really tight.

BUT sometimes I feel like we are trying to compete with each other, or that she finds it difficult to not have the focus on her achievement.

As many of my moots know I absolutely love singing and I have been for years, I write my own music and have started a band etc. And yes this is the same friend who invited herself into the band without any of us letting her.

But every time I mention that I do something musically she brings up how she sings too, like she joined choir after I was talking about it not any other point in the 2 years she had been here before. And always mentions how she does music too and has been in a band whenever I'm talking about my own achievements.

Same with like how I used to swim a lot but stopped bc I didn't wanna go competitive and she immediately started saying how she was always the best at swimming etc. OH and embroidery, I was saying how much I love embroidery and some of my friends were complimenting my previous work and she said 'you guys know I do embroidery too, I just don't show you'

Anyways now I'm like partially stressing bc I've always kind of dismissed it as like 'well it's not a competition and I think I'm better anyways' (not really healthy I know) but now it literally is a competition and I don't wanna be proven wrong.

Like I'll be happy for her if she gets the part but there is a part of me that needs to prove I do hold this thing over her since she keeps hinting that I don't. Idk music is meant to be the thing I'm good at and secure in but when someone keeps talking themselves up to your level with no where near as much evidence it makes you insecure

5. He definitely listens to loud music that's angry and yk (I actually can't name a huge amounts of punk bands I think he'd listen to bc I'm a riot grrrl kinda punk/alt and I'm not convinced that's his thing.. Marlene however...)

6. I actually think hes quite artistic so dIYing his own clothes makes sense
