He is very respected, his ego never took a hit, so he is a very different person as well. More self assured, way more confident and ready to fight for what he wants.

Enter Simon. Who is a recovering cult escapee, working as a civilian cult expert with local police.

They meet by accident when Grace is asked to assist a laboratory expertise with a new non-water based drug they found was used to control victims in a new growing following.

Simon is immediately amazed by this extremely intelligent professor who carries himself like the most important person in the room.

A week later an officer that smiled at Simon during that meeting goes missing. A few days later he is found dead, sitting in a local church’s confessional. His lips are sealed shut.
