i get where it comes from, but i personally think the lamb symbolism misses a crucial part of Simon's character, which is that he is not innocent

Simon has done awful things. yes, he tried to stop Filament Station from blowing up, but he was there for a reason. that was either a direct attack, or a raid, and either way, people were going to get hurt. and Simon was there

we know he has killed people. we know he has killed more people than any of his other Brothers, that he has the highest body count. the nickname the Butcher is not for show. that shit was earned

Simon is not an innocent lamb being led to the slaughter, and that's the whole point

because despite everything he has done, despite all the people he has killed, despite everything he has done, Simon did not deserve what happened to him
