Like, settle in to be just some guy. No one cares. You are just as much tumblrina as the rest of us now.

Yeah, you might be famous, but you’re not tumblr famous. Yeah, you won an Oscar but you’ll never be as beloved as Blorbo from my shows. We will never freak out about you answering our ask as we will freak out over our ship still not being canon. We care more about hot takes than follower counts here. We are so unmarketable, there is no good PR on our hellsite /aff.

"Padfoot! Moony! We're going to miss them!" Tugging his dads' hands, Harry drew out every vowel possible, the tell-tale sound of a five-year-old nearing tantrum.

"You know, my mum always found it so funny that muggles celebrate firework night. 'Let's remember nearly blowing up parliament by having bonfires and fireworks!' " Remus chuckled to himself at the irony.

"Course that's just the story the muggles put out, isn't it." Sirius said, a statement, not a question.

"What?"

"Well, Fawkes was actually a Black, wasn't he?" Sirius paused, looking at Remus' perplexed face. "You don't know?"

Remus shook his head, still being pulled along by an impatient Harry.

"Oh gods, yeah! One of the worst ones actually. Castor Arcturus Rigel Black I. Caught his sister shagging some muggle MP and decided to get payback. Nearly succeeded too but the sister, Cassiopeia I think it was, found out. Big duel in the cellars, authorities from both sides called... I can't believe you didn't know this?!"

Remus paused, watching as Harry let go of their hands to make sure he didn't run off too far. Seeing that he was okay, he turned back to Sirius.

"Should've guessed a Black would be at the root of such violent and grisly mischief," he said wryly.

"You're one too, Mr Lupin-Black. And, now you've been warned. No shagging any MPs."

"And what about prime ministers, Prime Minister?"

Remus' voice was low, instantly pulling a tightness in Sirius' belly.

"Ah, well, that's the only exception."

"Daaaa-aaads!"

Remus and Sirius rolled their eyes fondly. "Coming, Harry."

The changes were subtle. Remus always kicked himself later for not paying more attention. The war was wearing on them. The prophecy had sent James and Lily into hiding.

But now it was something else. Sirius had several hushed conversations with James using the mirror. He held onto Remus tightly but also felt distant. Remus wished Sirius would tell him what he and James were up to. The secrecy was second nature by now, living as they were through this war.

The night before, they made love passionately for several hours. When Remus thought about it after, it was like they both knew something was going to happen, like that was the last time before their lives changed.
