One of the things that genuinely makes me feel beautiful is when people want to talk to me. I don’t mean just asking “oh how was your day”, but rather a real and genuine connection to me. Asking me about my thoughts on a subject; asking me why I feel the way I do. Those things make me feel wanted and respected. And I really do cherish those moments

You can’t find intimacy—you can’t find home—when you’re always hiding behind masks. Intimacy requires a certain level of vulnerability. It requires a certain level of you exposing your fragmented, contradictory self to someone else. You running the risk of having your core self rejected and hurt and misunderstood.
