The actual main problem with “free the nipple” in the United States that we live in such an objectifying and sexually repressed society, that too many men (idk maybe women too but I’ve never experienced that) see explicit or uncovered boobs as an invitation to harass. Even going braless gets you some seriously aggressive looks, comments, or honking of car horns. When I was 20 years old and I went to Spain, I was topless at the beach all day and no one gave a shit. Plenty of people of many genders there walked right by and didn’t even look at me because that’s normal in Spain. In the US, unfortunately, we have to be a little more careful.

I mean I live in Dallas, a major metropolitan area where you should easily be able to find like-minded progressive folks and it is SO difficult.
