January personal project - an 'ice paladin' character. Was playing around with the idea of a resurrected paladin, frozen/frostbitten extremities, and a lot of ice being involved for his armor and weaponry, the ends of his torn up cape turning to some rather offensive defense as well.

I was focusing on colours and values for this piece, since I feel a bit as if I've been slipping a bit on both lately. ^^; Still a ways to go but we’ll get there. Wherever ‘there’ is.

Getting back into practice using a reference image, trying to force myself to apply and paint with colours sooner than usual, since I usually try to finish the whole image in greyscale before colouring;

Quick illustration of a mermaid, was aiming for less of a streamlined Hollywood-esque mermaid in favour of someone more voluptuous, with vitiligo to tie in with the coloration of koi fish.
