Shane sighed deeply, already exasperate “Yes, Rozanov, it was quite a clapper.” He looked at his team and saw the next line getting ready to hit the ice. Shane needs to get back to the bench.

“I am also quite the clapper, remember” Ilya said before Shane could separate himself from whatever was happening right now.

Shane stared blankly at him.

“You know, when you come to my hotel room and we-“

“Shut your mouth, you’re acting like a grinder” Shane could feel himself blushing, he doesn’t know how Ilya can talk like that in the middle of a game.

“But you like it when I grind-”

“Go blow a tire!” Shane was trying to shut this down but Ilya seemed to ponder that for a moment before deciding, “No I would much rather you blow me instead.”

“I’m removing myself from this situation before I end up in the Sin Bin” Shane said with a very unamused look on his face, finally pushing off his skate’s edge and heading towards his teammates.

“I can still get in your sin bin tonight, right?” Ilya asked imploringly, following Shane.

“Just go ride the pine, Rozanov.”

“And later you will ride my pine?”

“I swear to God-“

“Okay okay, no need to get so angry it was just a question” Ilya held his hands up in a placating gesture but Shane saw him smirking as they finally separated at their respective teams’ benches
