I've no idea, what I'm doing here... Probably lot of One Piece and random stuff I find. Some may be in polish, some in english. Who knows? (Not me, for sure)
What if Daud survived the DOTO and Billie still managed to help the Outsider? Like, when Billie brings this new human back and tell Daud he says something like "You took him here? I'm gonna kill that bastard!"
And Outsider hears that so he comes into room and goes "Ok, I get it, I'm gonna leave."
But then Daud see him. Really see him. This 15 or something years old kid, not some unknown god. So he decide to adopt that kid and make him an assassin, because that's all he know about raising kids. Just this time with help from Billie, who isn't really making that much easier...

The number in italics indicates how many spots a title moved up or down from the previous year. Bolded titles werenât on the list last year.
I don't follow A&M as much anymore so I'm fine with it (and One Piece being in top 10)... but what is killing stalking doing on that list? Isn't that manhwa?
The City Announcer is becoming quite the meme in the DH fanbase, isn't he?
He is in the first game when Corvo returns to Dunwall Tower to take down Hiram Burrows, and is nessassary for the non-leathal option. He is found on the inside of Dunwall Tower. If you go through the front doors, and go up to the next story to the right before going through the Wall of Light, there is a threshold and a staircase the spirals up to the 3rd story. Up there, there is a room with one civilian labeled as "Propaganda Officer", who's voice is very familiar because you've been hearing his voice for the whole game.
If you interact with him, he'll flinch and beg you not to kill him. He then will guess that You're here to take down the Lord Regent, and tell you that Hiram Burrows likes to vent on audiographs and that there's one that would ruin his career. He says that the audiograph in question is in the safe in Burrows' office in a safe and will give you the code to it. Nice guy.
But
If you kill him, someone else will do the announcements afterwards. You can hear the new voice as soon as when you arrive back to the Hound Pits after the mission. Carrie Fisher voices the new announcer, in a very odd and spacific cameo!
Fun fact: if you have destroyed the speaker near the Hound Pits (in any time of your game), you won't hear any change (or anything), so if you want to hear Carrie Fisher voice, make sure the speaker is still there. They don't have any technical service in Dunwall, apparently.
Am I the only one who found it funny to destroy all the speakers I find?
one of my favorite one piece fanon things is modern au zoro with random objects filling the âthree swordâ schtick. three pencils. three skateboards. three drumsticks. three crowbars. three coffee stirrers

no matter how many times I replay dishonored on whatever chaos level, Iâll always feel bad for killing whalers. Still got that âthose are my SONSâ reaction huh
No matter chaos level, I never kill whalers. If there's no other choice, I put them to sleep and make sure they are in save, comfortable place before I leave them...
Imagine coming to a hostile alien world and being attacked by a horde of creatures that can weigh up to 3 tons, run at 30Â km/h (19Â mph), and bite with a force of 8,100 newtons (1,800Â lbf).
By the time you realise that they can traverse water, itâs too late. The surviving members of your unit manage to make it back by shedding their excess gear and running for their lives; the slower ones were crushed to death within minutes.
You later describe the creature to one of the humans you captured, wanting to know the name of the monstrosity that will haunt your nightmares for cycles to come.
The human smiles as it speaks a single word, slowly and distinctly, in its barbaric tongue.
Imagine being the next crew to go down to earth and thinking âitâs fine, we got this. We have the weapons and equipment necessary to deal with bears and *shudders* hippopotamuses. Weâll be fine.â
And at first you are, youâve learned how to dodge. Youâve learned where their territories are. You know how to defend yourself.
But then one night you are sleeping in your shelter. Youâre in a tree covered temperate part of earth. It seems benign. There are been no sightings of the dreaded âhipposâ around. Not even any bears. But there is a slight rustle of the undergrowth. You try and ignore it telling yourself it is just the wind.
Then you hear the rustle again. closer this time.
You peer out into the darkness but see nothing amongst the trees.
The rustle again and now you realise you can smell something. Itâs musky and slightly foul. Itâs the smell of an omen, a warning. But what of? Where is this smell coming from.
You sit up, but itâs too late. The foul smelling creature is on you. You are hit with 17kg of coarse fur and vicious bites. Long dark claws tear in to you and you are pinned down white the striped creature tries to bite your throat.
It takes some doing but you manage to wrestle free. Blood drips from your wounds and already they itch with the sign of infection. The creature has a bloodied snout, rust rad, mingling with the black and white hairs. It lets out a terrifying growl from the back of its throat and looks to attack again. Itâs between you and your knife, so your only choice is to back away.
Eventually the creature gives up and snuffles off in to the undergrowth, down a hole near your shelter you hadnât noticed before.
When you make it back to your base you once again consult the captive human.
âOur vehicles are far superior to the local human models, in range, speed, armament, and any other metric you care to name! Nothing could possibly-â
The invasion is going slowly. The humans have caught on and are actively destroying information on the planetâs flora and fauna before Intelligence can capture and process it. All that they have are survivorsâ accounts. Bears. Hippos. Badgers. Moose. It is becoming obvious this mudball planet is a full-on Death World to the unprepared, and you are so very unprepared.
You lost Jaxurn to a plant. Not even a mobile or carnivorous plant, just one that caused a vicious allergic reaction on contact that killed him in less than a rai'kor. Commander Vura'ko died to an insect bite, a tiny local pest that sucked a tiny bit of her blood and apparently replaced it with a bit of its last meal, which was full of disease. Backwash. She died to bug backwash. And yet you honestly envy them after that⌠thing you encounteredâŚ
When you got back to base the quarantine officer refused to let you inside. They had to roll a containment tank outside to put you in, because you all knew there would be no chance of eliminating the smell if it got into the shipâs air ducts. Smell. You wonder if your nasal slit will ever recover from this stench.
And the smell would. Not. Leave. After incinerating your gear the Q.O. had you use every cleansing agent they could think of, including a few janitorial ones, and still everyone fled the stench if they were downwind of your tank. Desperate to protect everyoneâs nasal slits from the smell the quarantine officer interrogated the humans. From them, a glimmer of hope: there was a cure. Somehow the juice of a certain fruit on this mudball was the only thing that could break up the chemicals in the little horrorâs spray. Immediately the Q.O. sent a team to recover buckets of the stuff and made you bathe in it. That was hours ago and it didnât seem to be working, though. All it was doing was turning your blue skin an interesting shade of purple.
Sighing in frustration you wave the med-assist on duty over, who only approaches after checking the wind direction. Annoyed, you flip on the tank`s vox speaker.
âThe humans did say it was âgrapeâ juice that removed âskunkâ stench, right?â
Any soldier alone was a viable target for this native monster that moved unseen by any but the security viewers, usually only spotted in hindsight. They were taken as silently as this earth-monster moved. Sometimes theyâd find the remains in the morning taken up a tree and hung there, mostly eaten, as if it were a grisly reminder that the monster was still there, waiting unseen, to strike again.Â
What little they saw of the monster on the vidfeed showed true horror. Yellow eyes that shone with all the light it could gather. It had fangs as long as his grasping digits. Claws half that size formed curved hooks that allowed it to climb up their fortifications with impunity. And in the underbrush, its spots made it almost impossible to see clearly in the undergrowth, if it could be seen at all.
Even the native sentients, the humans, had a healthy respect and fear for it.Â
The earth natives called the monster a leopard. Â
It was a constant fear that muddied the senses, and let the monster hunt even more effectively as the soldiers were always on edge. Sleep deprived with fear, it made them even better targets for the monster.Â
But rumor was that there was worse on this planet. Rumors of a monster like a leopard but larger, and bigger in every imaginable sense. Stripped instead of spotted, which leaped from the underbrush with a sound.
A sound that burst eardrums, paralyzed entire units, and let the monster kill with impunity. While the Leopard wrestled soldiers down and ripped their throats out. This other monster, the Tiger, killed with its pounce alone.
âWeâve been through this,â Group Leader 455 snapped. âThe dissection of an Earth life form will help the scientists make weapons to combat the rest of this planetâs hellbeasts. And these are domesticated. Harmless.â
The troops were not-quite-looking at her in the way troops do when they donât want to be seen to contradict a ranking officer, but canât quite muster a correct Expression of Enthusiastic Assent. âThe name of this species,â she pointed out, âis synonymous with dullness and slowness in the language of the Earth barbarians.â Well, one language out of several thousandâthese creatures needed Imperial guidance more than any other world on recordâbut there was no point in confusing the rank and file.
More not-quite-looking. 455 bubbled a sigh and consulted her scanner. âThat one,â she decided. âAlone in the separate pasture. Scans suggest that itâs a male, which means itâs probably weaker. Possibly itâs kept isolated so that the females donât eat it before mating season. And yes, I know some of you are here on punishment detail, but youâre still soldiers of the Imperium. This squad is perfectly capable of handling a lone, helpless, pathetic male cow.â
Iâm enjoying this immensely. Wait until the aliens try Australia for sizeâŚ
It was a strange creature Tar'van glimpsed at on the vast island known to the humans as âAustraliaâ.
âI would warn you not to fuck with us, mate.â Their forced guide, a prisioner, had warned with a chilling grin upon capture. âIf you think a moose is bad, wait until you tango with a red back.â To this day Tar'van fears the creature known as the red back, and what horrors it would bring.
The prisioner turned out to be of little help, the stubboness of his people causing them to refuse the danger that the captured human warned of. Tar'van recalls a moment when one of his squad members approached a creature know as a dingo, insistent they had seen these creatures before and they were tame. They barely escaped with 5 of the original 7 members of his squad.
Another moment Tar'van recalls was the brutal mauling they witnessed by the hands of a creature called an âEmuâ
âDonât feel too bad,â the prisioner mocked. âWe lost a war to the Emuâs as well.â
Now with only 4 members of their squad left, including themself, Tar'van had learned to listen to the prisoner, to be wary of the simplest of creatures. This human was of the sub-species of âZookeeperâ after all.
The âZookeeperâ looks off to the distance, where the creature is.
âItâs a kangaroo, leave it be and youâll be fine.â Tar'van nods, a human signal of acknowledgement if they are correct. The human smiles a bit.
âThat creature cannot possibly harm us.â Tar'vanâs squadleader protests. âIt is so docile. I will aproach it and bring back itâs head to show this human is a fearmongering liar.â
The human reels back, a look of disgust crosses their face and anger passes through their eyes.
âFucking do it mate, I dare ya.â The human hisses. The squad leader puffs up their hoinn gland, a sign of pride to their species, and aproached the so called âKangarooâ.
âThis will be unpleasant.â A squadmate mutters as they watch their leader raise their fist and bring it down on the creature. The âKangarooâ looks a little stunned by the impact, before it raises itself upon its strong tail and uses its powerful heind legs to launch their squadleader backwards through the air.
Their squadleader lands upon the ground, unmoving with black blooded oozeing from them. It appears Tar'van is the squads leader now.
âI donât know what they expected.â the human says, smugness filling their tone. âKangaroos are fucking shreaded. 8-pack and all.â
Tar'van steps forward to the human, whom inches back in a sign of fear as Tar'van pulls their blade from its holster, and in their first act as leader, frees the human of the bonds around their hands.
âPlease,â Tar'van bags. âGet us back safely.â
They had faced Emuâs. They had lost one in the battle but had experienced them. But this was no emu.
Looking to their guide, they all stare in horror as his face changes from calculating to fear. Pure, heart consuming horror as he stares at the large bird.
âCassowaryâŚâ
They mimic him in fear. Squawking the horrific name as another joins the first in the mad run towards them.
The only ones to survive was the native guide and Tar'van. The guide was carrying the soldier over his shoulder as they made their way back to the settlement.
Tar'van was a wreck. Periodically alternating between rocking in complete silence and whispering broken words in horror.
When they consulted the native all he said was âIts springâŚ. Magpie seasonâŚâ
âListen up, troops. This armour upgrade has been tested both in the laboratories of the best Imperial military scientists and in the field. We are impervious to the stings of any insect on this hellhole of a planet, striped or not! We can brave the perils of its wildlife, and conquer it at long last! Revenge for our fallen companions! Glory to the Emperor!â
âExcuse me,â the native Terran guide speaks up in a tired tone, and the squadâs cheers die on their lips. âThis is Japan. You havenât seen whatââ
âSilence, worm! No sting can penetrate this plating!â
The guide tries to warn them once again, merely earning a blow that throws them to their knees. The troops set out, morale high, certain in their ability to brave the wildlife now and thirsting for vengeance against the non-sentient native species. One soldier thumps his fist against a tree. A hollow sound follows.
In an instant, the soldier is the centre of a storm of the striped insects. At first, no one pays it any mind. Their little stings cannot penetrate the new plating, after all.
But then the soldier falls to his knees, and the squad stares in horror as the insects enclose him in layer upon layer of their own bodies, all moving. The squadâs medic yells a warning at everyone to stay back, watching the readouts of the unfortunate soldierâs armour on their diagnostic screen with undisguised horror. The insects arenât even stinging. They simply keep moving, one atop the other, and the soldierâs body temperature is slowly rising until he drops to the ground, quite literally cooked alive. The insect swarm takes off, unharmed save for the ones that were crushed when the trooper fell.
Finally asked about what happened, the human sighs. âJapanese honeybees. They do this to wasps, too.â
âHow?â You ask. âHow has your species dominated this planet?âÂ
The human bares its teeth. A smile, they call it. Something humans do when they are happy. Yet you canât help but think of all the creatures with the their large fangs and sharp teeth. (What kind of species uses a threat signal as a sign of happiness?)
âPersistence and ingenuity.â The human answers, still smiling.Â
It doesnât matter that this one is your prisoner. Humans, you decide, are as terrifying as their planet. Â
âAnd scattered about it ⌠were the Martiansâdead!âslain by the putrefactive and disease bacteria against which their systems were unprepared; slain as the red weed was being slain; slain, after all manâs devices had failed, by the humblest things that God, in his wisdom, had put upon this earth.âÂ
âLet us try the creatures that the humans keep for domestic companionshipâ
âIs that a miniature tiger?â
âWhy does this human own a small pack of wolves?â
The aliens ask their human captive why small wolves live with them.Â
âOh, you mean dogs? Yeah, theyâre the only animals that can keep up with us.â
The aliens look at each other in fear. âWhat do you mean?â
âOh well thatâs why you guys âwonâ is because humans arenât super fast or strong. I think my middle school biology teacher called us pursuit predators? It means we evolved to hunt things by following them at walking pace until they had to stop to sleep and then catching up to them then. Dogs are the only animals that can keep up with us. Did you know one time a pack of wolves tailed a herd of caribou for three days straight?â
âUh⌠okay, what about these small round things with big teeth?â
âOmg dude no if you give a hamster enought time that little fucker can chew through concrete :)â
The aliens wonder if the surrender of humanity was a trap.
The aliens have sophisticated technology which pretty much allows them to live underwater, which is something even the inventive humans have never managed. Submarines have nothing on alien submersion pods, which can withstand the crushing pressures of even the darkest depths of the oceans and seas.Â
The aliens arenât expecting any difficulties with their underwater expeditions. Of course, thatâs when four of the life signs on the central screen simply vanish, like theyâd never been there.Â
Alpha turns on the direct communication lines to the remaining submersion pods, and the only thing they hear through the tinny speakers is screaming.Â
Alpha resists the urge to turn and stare at the shackled human standing behind them, but Beta, Gamma and Theta have no such compunctions.Â
The human shrugs. âI mean, weâve never really been down there so weâre not entire sure, but weâve heard stories of giant squids and stuff. No smoke without fire, and all that.âÂ
âThere can be neither smoke nor fire underwater, human, cease your prattling.âÂ
The human snorts. âItâs a phrase. A metaphor? Man, I donât know, I studied marine biology, not literature.âÂ
The human is unable to tell them anything useful about what might have happened to the submersion pods, but retrieved footage later shows tentacled behemoths snaking out of the depths of disturbed silt and cold water, and crushing the submersion pods effortlessly, in full view of the outer-hull cameras. The monsters have giant beaks which rip through the organic alloy sheets, and into the bodies of the pod pilots within.Â
The outer-hull cameras register the blue of fresh spilled blood and gore, at the same time the on-board cameras register screaming and the red glow of critical power failure.Â
The last thing the aliens can see on the retrieved footage is thin, long, snakelike creatures appearing out of the darkness and gloom, creating their own light and descending upon the remains of their brethren. They are accompanied by creatures that look like plastic bags, but which feed upon the toxic remains of the organic alloy of which the pods were made.
The human appears completely nonchalant - there is no love lost between slave and master. âWait till you see sharks.âÂ
Iâve seen this post go around a few times, but this time I have some thoughts:
1) This is more or less the plot of Animorphs.
2) Earth has Poison Dart Frogs, weâre clearly a Death World.
3) Iâm now imagining them deciding to set up a base on the poles, because life on this planet is clearly dependant on plants. So, that frozen wasteland should be safe of any dangerous megafauna.
Cue Polar Bear out of nowhere.
The squad was three days out on patrol when they lost the first member. The hellhole so awful that even the natives term for it frequently translated as âDirt underfootâ was now seen as a place of punishment for many of the Legions, but there were still some who viewed it as a challenge.
Such a one was Sarcal-<clik>, respected Third Claw of the 87th Legion. Not only an admired leader and a feared warrior (They had led the assualt on Urpga-9 after all), but one whose exo-skeleton and mist sacs were amongst the most elegantly beautiful of their generation (though they were apporpriately modest about such things). In every respect they were a warrior to aspire to be like, resplendent in the finest, hand-polished ceramic body armour, guaranteed (so the makers claimed) to be able to resist the claws of even the âtygâerâ, though no one was too keen to put that one to the test. They had volunteered for this duty, partly out of a love of the challenge, partly out of a desire to excel⌠There was a Dirt-ian song which included the lyrics âIf I can make it there, Iâll make it anywhereâ and this was being generally applied to the surivors of more than one tour of duty.
Simply having them on Dirt (There HAD to be a better name) was a source of pride for many, and relief for others (in the hope that a bad report from Salrcal<clik> would be enough to get Command to evacuate this godsforsaken planet.)
So it was a cause of great concern when Sarcal-<clik> could not be woken when it came time for their watch that night. Like any good soldier, they slept in their armour when sharing watch duty. Swiftly, an officer was called and when the visor was raised, it was not that they were dead which was the greatest shock, but the look of horror frozen on that noble visage.
The field surgeon performing the cursory autopsy could not identify cause of death beyond poison of some sort. The humans bearers on the squad hadnât been near them, so they were in the clear, but beyond that, it was a mystery.
The prized armour was passed to the next in command, as Sarcal<clik> would have wished, and though the sqaud were not nearly as inspired as once they might have been, they continued the patrol, determined to honour their comradeâs memory. There would be poems composed of this mission on the Homeworld in Sarcal<clik>âs honour, and their behaviour would reflect on them all in the telling.
It was not long, however, before the second in command convulsed and collapsed. Not as stoic as Sarcal<clik> their death was just as horrific, but less restrained and though the surgeon was still not able to identify how such a powerful neurotoxin could have entered their system.
There was some understandable reluctance on the newly appointed second in command to take on the armour. it may have been beautiful and gleamed in the even the unpleasantly yellow Dirt-ian sun, but it now had a reputiation.
And it was one that was well earned. The scream of the dying soldier was heard by all. They took longer that the previous victims, and their last contorlled movement was to point to their hindfoot, but the armoured boot was perfectly intact.
After that no one would go near the armour, it had a bad reputaiton, it would be boxed up and returned to the Homeworld for display in some museum or other. Thus is was only two human bearers cleaning it before transport who were present when the small shape fell out of the toe of the boot.
âCareful matel! Funnel web!â
âDead now. That explains a lot though. I guess tiger proof doesnât mean spider-proof, and they LOVE dark spaces to hide in. Doubt the bite would show up on mottled skin like theirs.â
âShould we tell our high and mighty masters in case there are any more about?â
They exchanged a gleefully malevolent look and shared a smile.
âWhy trouble them with such a trivial little matter.â
They saluted the remains of the spider as they left. If they noticed the egg sac that was hidden in the depths of the boot as they put it into the transport, they said nothing.
Having learned their lesson from the dirt continent from hell, the aliens attempt to try an ecosystem a hemisphere away, knowing the wildly variable fora and fauna should be different and therefore safer. They even chose a sub colony that the humans named âfriendâ.
After a month it was exceedingly clear that the human concept of friendship was NOT a state of mutual trust and support but perhaps fear and subjugation from nature. Perhaps it was one of those clever tricks the humans used to lure each other to death, just like the fabled âgreenlandâ
You see, having learned their lessons in âAustraliaâ they chose to settle in near the old human civilization, where the humans had razed the landscape to set up personal habitats, driving the wildlife back.
How were they to know that driving back meant only about 10 feet, because after a rain, a massive beast heralding from millions of earth years came out of the water and ripped Lieutenant Grakshw into pieces in broad daylight. Attempts to recover his plated insignia for his family was met with a CONFLAGRATION of about 20 vicious writhing snakes that were very soon found to be venomous, as the loss of Captain M'gbrak soon proved.
Immediate restructuring of the fence separating the encampment from the âbayouâ seemed to work for precisely one weekâŚ
Like most of this death world, the area was prone to hurricanes and tornadoes for most of the year. The human built habitats seemed to weather it poorly, with many having bits blown off, exposing their vehicle ports or bathing dens to the elements.
The exploratory team did not account for what the humans kept in their homes. There were many canine and feline miniatures that they of course had protocol for.
They did not have protocol for the beasts with claws the length of their chest that were very hungry after their human handlers were removed
According to the human guide of sub class âcontrol officerâ many upstanding human homes in human sub colony âtexasâ kept full size predators (lions, tigers, and bears, âŚ..no home) as pets and as it was legal in this dont as long as the animal was fed, there was no documentation on where or how many were hidden away.
The final transmission from settlement group Xyytar-B came from their designated human actually HOLDING several of the venomous beings that slaughtered M'gbrak in a flimsy plastic tub. Her accent was as hard to translate as ever:
âYea y'all really fucked up when ya tried to poof us all. Now the tigers are hungry and the wolves are breaking out of their yards. Try watching animal cops before picking a habitat next time. Animal control outâ
With such overwhelming evidence, by order of the council the texas sub colony was marked as 'completely inhospitableâ and added to the 'hellspot" list right next to Australia.
Ok, but what if people learn that aliens are afraid of some animals but donât know them all and then decided that they can use that against their captors?
Squad 308 moved slowly, carefully watching their surrounding. It was supposed to be safe area, but they took two human guides anyway. Some of natives would say âbetter safe than sorryâ. At first Gurtos laughed at the weird words. In time, they decided, on Earth, as humans called their planet, it was very true.
When they nearly reached their destination - spaceship was supposed to wait for them on the other side of âparkâ, female human stopped.
âWhat is it?â asked commander Kitâra.
Humanâs eyes were big as she stared at something before them, her mouth slightly open. She just pointed one finger at something.
The male human looked around as if not understanding. Gurtos assumed that their human was mistaken, but then second human took a step back.
âItâs hare!â he yelled, shaking his head. âDonât get near it!â
Commander Kitâra took one more look around, only noticing little animal with brown fur and long ears.
âIsnât it what you call ârabbitâ? I thought it was harmless.â
âOh no, itâs not rabbit.â Female human shook her head. âItâs hare. They are similar, but not the same. And do whatever you want, we wonât get near them. Even if you threat us.â
Aliens looked afraid, seeing how humans, known as brave and stupid species didnât want to get near any kind of animal. But if that wastheir reaction, then probably there was a good reason to avoid those âharesâ.
âCommander, it looks like there is more of them in this âparkâ we were supposed to crossâ informed one of the Gurtos.
Kitâra thought only for a few seconds.
âWe are going back. Send a warning to others, they need to be careful about those animals.â
None of aliens didnât notice smile on both of their humans faces.

Summary: At first, Sanji didnât see anything. When he noticed, he didnât said a word. And then, it was too late.
Sanji didnât know when it all began. At first, there were only those small signs. How Namiâs face went softer every time she was yelling at Zoro. How swordsmanâs eye wasnât showing any anger while he was calling her sea witch. They were spending more time together. Zoro started more easily agreeing with whatever Nami ordered. Nami stopped putting so many chores on Zoro.
Then things got more noticeable but Sanji still couldnât see anything. How every time Zoroâs napping spot somehow ended near where Nami was sunbathing. How, after long night watch, redhead would prepare cup of green tea for the swordsman. How the man would meditate in Namiâs office when she was drawing her maps. How they spend long evenings, sitting next to each other and just talking.
There were things more noticeable for the cook. Zoro didnât fight with him so often. They would rather have a drink together, more like friends than rivals. How every time he tried flirting with Nami, Zoro seemed more angry than annoyed. Woman would always put her hands on Zoroâs shoulders and start talking to him.
Sanji understood it much later. It was another night after some party. He and Zoro ended being the only ones awake. Zoro started talking something about Nami. And it was his voice â soft and happy â that finally got to cook.
âYou like her, donât you?â he asked but didnât really need answer. Zoro smiled and nodded.
Sanji couldnât bring himself to say anything. Neither then or later, when Zoro and Nami started showing their affection more openly. He didnât even said a world when Zoro asked him to be his best man. He just nodded and forced himself to smile, assuring, once again, that he wasnât jealous of Nami.
Wedding was beautiful. According to maritime law, Luffy, as a captain, could preside over a wedding and he did.  Nami had long sleeveless white dress with open back. On her bare skin comfortable sat Zoroâs large hand. Sanji couldnât stop wondering how would it feel if it was his back. Swordsman wore black suit. Sanji helped him put on the tie, idiot didnât know how to do it himself. He looked even more handsome than ever. Cook didnât say anything then. When Zoro was again making sure blonde wasnât jealous, he would again deny it.
It was many years later, when he said anything. Zoro asked for Luffyâs permission so he and Nami could leave the crew. Captain smiled and agreed. Of course he did, they accomplished their goals after all. Nami was already walking toward town, accompanied by Robin and Chopper, who were focused on her large stomach. Fifth month, reindeer said.
âYou sure you arenât angry?â asked Zoro, standing next to blonde and watching the walking trio.
âNo, Iâm not. Why would I?â Sanji forced yet another smile. He was getting good at it.
âYou just lookâŚâ he stopped. âYou always have this look when youâre watching us together. I thought youâre jealous. You were always flirting with Nami after allâŚâ
âNo.â Sanji wanted to end it at that. He didnât mean to say anything more. He shouldnât say anything more, he lost his right to do so long time ago. But he did continue. âIt wasnât Nami I always wanted.â
Funny, how it still hurt, even after all this time.
At first, Zoro looked at him without understanding. After few seconds he finally got it.
âOh,â he said, slightly uncomfortable, not knowing what to do with this new information.
âYeah, pretty hopeless, right?â Sanji laughed humorlessly.
      âIâm sorâŚâ
âDonât.â Cook shook his head. âIt was my fault for not letting you know. I was just late. Youâre happy and thatâs all that matters right now.â
They were silent for some more minutes, just watching people walking by. Then Zoro turned and looked the cook in the eyes.
âYou know that doesnât change anything between us, donât you? Weâre still friends and you can always count on me if anything happens. Itâs just⌠I donât⌠And I wonâtâŚâ
âI know.â Sanji smiled and this time it wasnât forced. He was relieved. âIâm glad you still think of me as a friend. I know I shouldnât told you this, not after all this time, but I felt like you deserved to know.â
      Swordsman nodded slowly.
âThank you for your honesty. Iâm sure you will find yourself someone even better than me.â
âYeah, like it would be hard to find someone better than some Marimo.â Sanji laughed and pushed his friend on his back. âGo already. Future mom will get impatient.â
âSure. See you around, Cook.â Zoro waved and left the blonde alone.
Sanji keep watching swordsmanâs back until he disappeared in the crowd. Then he went into galley and closed the door behind himself. No one should be back before next day. He sat on the floor and hid his face in hands.
He said he would find someone else, but it was a lie. Did Zoro believed in this? That would remain mystery. Bu the truth was, even after so many years, Sanji couldnât get rid of his hopeless feelings toward swordsman. It only got stronger. Maybe, few years later, he could move on and find himself someone who could love him. Or maybe he would end up alone, still thinking about how he didnât say anything when he should have.
Rating: T (mention of sex. Really mention, just like one sentence)
Summary: Nami thinks that Zoro and Sanji feel something to each other. She decided that if she somehow make them kiss, she could watch their reaction and by that judge, if she was right. Rest of the crew think itâs better to just ask, but what could they know?
âThey love each other,â stated Luffy, looking around his friends.
His whole crew, except Zoro and Sanji, gathered in aquarium room, trying to somehow guess if said men felt something to each other or not. Captain was getting tired with all their speech of how they saw something which could mean nothing or how they didnât think two people always fighting could get along enough to create some kind of bond. Luffy didnât listen, but he was tired anyway. Heâd prefer to play than sat there and think about something so obvious. Of course his swordsman and cook loved each other! How others couldnât see that!?
âWhat do you mean, Luffy?â asked Nami, crossing arms against her chest.
      Black haired boy shrugged.
âThey love each other,â he repeated, slighty louder. Maybe his navigator couldnât hear him the first time?
âI know that they are crewmates and we all love each others here, but we meant it more likeâŚâ Nami started to explain, but Luffy shaked his head.
âNo. They are crewmates but they also love each other. Like, romantic kind of love.â
âHow do youâŚâ she started again, but captain already lost his attention.
âIâm hungry!â he yelled and run out.
Nami looked after him for while longer, then she turned to others in room. Chopper was shifting nervously on his hooves, obviously wanting to go after his captain. Usopp was nodding, as if he knew everything, though his eyes clearly said, that he has no idea what was going on. Robin sat on bench with book in her hand, smiling as usual. Brook played some light tunes on his violin. Franky wasnât paying attention, he was doing something whith some gears and springs. Navigator sighed.
âOk, anyone knows, why is he so sure?â she asked, but didnât get any reply. Only Robin looked as if she could knew anything but woman always looked like that and getting those kinds of informations from her could be complcated.
âMaybe he saw them, like⌠together, or something?â suggested Usopp, scratching his nose.
âYeah, maybe they were kissing⌠Do you thing they are the type who would kiss?â Franky looked up from his mechanism and smiled.
âNo, I think they are more like âright into sexâ kind of couple,â laughed Brook.
âGross,â commented Nami. âAnyway, we have to know if they feel something to each other or not! How do you suggest we should do it?â
âMaybe just ask them?â Chopper looked at her with his big, innocent eyes.
âNo, Chopper. That wonât do. They are too stubborn to admit it. We have to find another way!â
âHow about you try to make them kiss somehow?â Robin chuckled behind her hand. âTheir reaction should give away enough to judge.â
âThatâs why I love you, Robin!â exclaimed red haired. âOk, itâs time to start operation âKissâ!â
âThatâs rather boring name. Let me figure out something super!â shouted Franky.
      âNo!â
 ~*~
âSanji-kun!â exclaimed Nami, waving to the blond to come closer. He smiled brightly and did so, instantly asking if he could do something. âYeah, actually, could you try it for me? Itâs taste reminds me of something, but Iâm not sure what. I thought a great chef like you could tell me what it is?â
Sanji eyed glass with yellowish substance suspiciously. He didnât remember giving Nami-san something like that. Could it be someone stole from his kitchen when he wasnât there?
âWhat is it, Nami-san?â he asked, taking glass and sniffing it. It smelled quite like orange, but also with something else...
âOh, itâs from Chopper. I had headache and he gave me this. Said it isnât dangerous so you could taste it without worry.â
Blond man nodded, relieved that it wasnât because of some guys stupid idea to raid his kitchen. Thought the fact that navigator had a headache was somehow worrysome. Maybe he could do her some tea or... Ice? What could help with that?
Sanji decided that he could think about it later and sipped carefully from glass. Yeah, it was definitely orange flavoured, but he couldnât feel anything else familiar. Besides stronge taste of some medicine, of course. He narrowed his eyebrows,
âI donât know, Nami-san. I canât feel anything besides orange.â
      Girl shaked her head.
âNo, Iâm pretty sure thereâs something familiar. Try again, please?â
And he did. He tried it at least ten more times with same effect. He didnât know what Nami could possibly felt there but he wasnât able to catch that one flavour that was important to girl. Finally, she just nodded and thanked him and he went to kitchen. Suddenly, he felt sleepy. He looked at clock. He still had at least one hour before he should start preparing dinner. He may as well take short nap. But he needed go to bed first... On the other hand, floor looked so fluffy. Yeah, it was good enough.
 ~*~
       âZoro!â
Loud shout from Nami was what wake the swordsman. He opened his eye and looked around, searching for any danger. When he didnât spot any, he stared at red head. She looked like she was in hurry. And... scared? Like something bad happened. But it wasnât enemy attack.
âWhat is it?â he asked, getting up. He may not know why she decided to call him first of all people but if this was serious, then he was going to help her.
âItâs Sanji!â Red haired ran toward the kitchen, so he followed her. While still moving, she briefly explained: âI think he is not breathing!â
      Zoro nearly stopped, hearing this.
âWhy did you come to me? We have to get Chopper!â He sterted to turn away but the girl stopped him.
âNo, he canât! He is... stuck.â
      âStuck...?â Roronoa frowned.
âYeah, in... The closet.â She looked away for a moment, but then again stared in his eyes. âThereâs no time to explain. It was... Luffyâs idea!â
âOh.â If it was their captain, then it wasnât that suspicious. After all, getting their little doctor stuck in the closet wouldnât be the weirdest thing he ever done...
âYeah, guys are trying to get him out so you have to help Sanji till then!â
Zoro only nodded and ran past Nami into the kitchen, noticing that cook was on the floor, seming unconcious. Swordsman came closer and called him. No response.
âYou need to do CPR,â called girl, and Zoro nodded. He knew the basics, thought he never really needed them. He more often killed people than saved their lifes. âPut yours lips to his and...â
âI know what to do!â he glared at her but in the next moment concentrated on task on hand. He was pretty sure he should press on his chest first but maybe he was wrong? He never tried this...
He leaned down and then freezed. He could swear, he heard...
âWhat? What are you waiting for?â asked Nami impatiently.
âBe quiet for a moment!â hissed Roronoa and listened more closely. Yeah, he werenât mistaken. âHe is breathing. Quit loudly too. I guess he just fell asleep,â he decided, standing up again.
âA-are you sure about it?â Nami looked nervous.
âYup, definitely. But the fact that he is sleeping on the floor is still weird. We should get Chopper to check on him.â Green haired man sighed and scratched his head in thought. âCan you check if those idiots got Chopper out already? Iâll get this one to his bed.â
âYes, of course...â Why Nami seemed so upset? Fact that cook was still breathing should be relief for her, right? Maybe she was just worried of the fact that he was unconcious? Zoro decided that he didnât have time and energy to think about it. He should just get the cook to his bed and then take another nap.
 ~*~
Chopper come to Sanji just to make Zoro relax. After all, swordsman was the only one who didnât know about their plan â Namiâs plan he should tell. But when they were alone in the room with sleeping cook, doctor couldnât stop his curiousity. Even thought Nami told them not to...
âZoro, can I ask you something?â asked reindeer, looking uncertainly at his older friend.
âSure, what is it, Chopper?â Roronoaâs gaze warmed a little when he was adressing their youngest companion, as always.
      âAre you and Sanji... Together?â
 ~*~
âItâs your turn, Usopp,â declared Nami, staring intently at her friend.
Long nosed man nodded reluctantly, not sure if the idea was that good after all. Both Zoro and Sanji were scary and if one â or worse, both â of them found out what they were going to do, Usopp probably would be a dead man.
âYou sure about that? We can still think about something else...â he said but stopped, at the glare he received from the navigator.
âJust do your part! Iâll make them play with us so itâs up to you that this think will work!â she hissed and then smiled dangerously.
      âFine, fine...â Usopp sighed, defeated.
He walked to Zoro, trying to calm his nerves. It wasnât easy. At least swordsman was finishing cleaning his swords so he wasnât going to be too annoyed from being disturbed. Hopefully.
      âHey, Zoro!â called Usopp.
Roronoa lifted his head and looked at sniper suspiciously. He knew something was off, he just didnât know what. Yet.
âWhat is it?â asked green haired man, sheathing his sword.
âUh, could you help me with someting?â
Zoro stood up and crossed his arms against his chest, his gaze moving around as if looking for potential trap. Still, he nodded to his friend to continue. He was nearly sure that some of his crewmates were planning something but he didnât know what and it made him careful.
âSo, uh, I made this and I want you to... hold it?â
Roronoa watched as Usopp pull out some kind of small black box with one metal side. Or it looked like that. He took it and examined, but he still got no idea what it could be used as.
âWhat is it for?â asked Zoro.
âItâs... Itâs charm that protect against all monsters that could want to eat you! Itâs my greatest invention to protect all innocent people in world!â long nosed man lied, feeling better the second he thought about it. He was always good at lying after all.
âYeah, sure.â Swordsman rolled his eyes.
âJust... Can you keep it until tonight? Itâs important to me?â
      Zoro sighed, but nodded anyway.
âOk. But if it make anything weird, youâre going to pay for it.â
Usopp smiled and thanked him, then runned away. He didnât really thought that conversation would go as easily. Now, to find Nami...
 ~*~
âYou two are playing with us!â stated Nami, looking at Zoro and Sanji who were both confused.
âOf course, if that is what you want, Nami-san, Iâll play...â Sanji nodded, smiling unsurely. He didnât know what was going on, but he could join if that was what the girl wanted him to do...
âWhy do I have to do what you want?â Zoro was harder to convince, as always.
âYou should just listen to Nami-san, you brute!â Cook exhaled a cloud of smoke from his cigarette.
âShut up, cook. I wonât listen to that witch!â
Usopp looked nervously at Franky, who just shrugged. They were arguing as always. Why Nami wanted to make them kiss each other? It was suicidal idea.
âZoro.â Nami smiled dangerously. âHow much do you owe me already?â Zoro only grunted something in return. âDo you want me to double it?â
After a little more arguing, the six of them gathered aroung on deck, where Nami started to explain rules. Both women were smiling weirdly, Usopp and Franky looked a little worried, Sanji was smiling to girls and Zoro just sat there, annoyed. He would rather just keep an eye on Luffy and Chopper who were running around. Or talk with Brook who was playing on his violin.
âSo, each of us spin this bottle.â She showed them normal looking glass bottle. âWho it ends up pointing at, is going to kiss the person who spinned it.â
âThatâs it?â Roronoa didnât look pleased. âAnd what if I donât want to kiss the person it point?â
âThen you still have to kiss that person. You have to stick to the rules.â Nami stared at him with warning.
âIâm not kissing you, even if you want to raise my debt againg,â he stated, not stepping back from her challenge.
âFine.â She rolled her eyes. âIf it points at me, you can spin it once again. Happy?â
      Zoro only shrugged.
âJust letâs start so we can finish earlier.â
Robin smiled and took the bottle in her hand.
âWho want to start? Cook-san, maybe?â
Sanjiâs smile only widened. He took the bottle and thanked woman, before looking around as if not sure if that was really happening.
âSo, if it points at Nami-san or Robin-chan, I can kiss you?â he asked, looking at them hopefully. Zoro snorted, hearing that.
âYes, yes... Do it already!â Nami stared at the bottle with excitement.
Usopp moved nervously, looking between her and Zoro. He hoped his little invention would work. Little magnet currently in Zoroâs pocket should only work with the other, hidden under the cap. If that bottle ends up pointing at Nami, she would kill him. But if it ends up really pointing at Zoro and the man somehow find out, he was dead too. And if it was Sanji, who would know... The boy decided he didnât want to imagine this.
Obviously, he either had luck or it worked, because after few seconds, the bottle was pointing toward Zoro. Nami clapped her hands.
âNow, you have to kiss!â she exclaimed.
Zoro shot her murderous glare, but then just shrugged and looked at Sanji. Cook sighed, probably a little dissapointed, then move slightly as if to move closer to swordsman...
âMarines!â Luffyâs shout made them look away from their little game and at the sea. In the distance, they could see marine ship, sailing straight at them.
âFinally some kind of entertainment!â Zoro grinned, getting up.
âAnd thatâs where I agree with you, moss-head.â Nodded Sanji.
 ~*~
Franky was humming, while repairing the hole, one of the marines made on the deck of Sunny. Usopp looked at cyborg and then at Sanji, who was helping them. Rest of the crew were cleaning other side of ship which meant they were out of earshot.
âSo, Sanji... Todayâs game...â he started, not really knowing how to ask what he wanted to ask.
The blond hummed, prompting his friend to continue whatever he wanted to say, but sniper didnât really know what to say. Franky asked that instead of him.
      âAre you with Zoro?â
 ~*~
Nami was getting a little annoyed. Two plans and neither worked! It was time to involve Luffy. Yeah, a little desperate move, but she really wanted to know!
âLuffy, could you help me a bit?â she asked, looking at her captain with little smile.
âSure, what do I have to do?â he agreed instantly, looking at her with those happy eyes.
âCould you jump in the way that would make Zoro and Sanji fall onto each other?â
      Luffy frowned.
âAre you still trying to know if they love each other? I told you they do, so why are you still trying?â he asked. Why had he be so perceptive?
âBecause I need to be sure!â
âSo just ask them.â Luffy shrugged as if not seeing any problems with that.
âDid you ever saw them? Theyâre never going to admit that! Sanji is never going to admit that he may like men as well and Zoro... He just donât do feelings!â
Black haired boy watched her carefully for a while, then he nodded.
âFine, if thatâll make you happy, Iâll help you. But you should just talk to them. They are ours friends, they donât want to have such huge secrets.â
âYeah, sure...â Nami rolled her eyes. âJust get to it!â
 ~*~
She didnât have to wait for an opportunity too long. Two men behave as if they wanted Nami to execute her plan, arguing that close to each other, nearly touching but not yet. She needed to help them just a little.
      âLuffy, now,â she hissed.
Captain grasped the rail and made few steps back before shooting forward, towards his crewmates. But Sanji, who was standing facing them, probably saw him in time and just moved to the side. Luffy flew into Zoro and they both landed on deck.
âYou idiot! Why did you do that!? Again!?â yelled Zoro, while black haired man just started laughing
âAnyway, Iâm going to made dinner. Donât destroy anything!â said Sanji, who turned around and headed to kitchen. Nami sighed and returned to girlâs room, ignoring still yelling swordsman, laughin captain and Brook, who was watching it all curiously.
 ~*~
âZoro-san, may I ask you a question?â Brook get closer to swordsman, who was dusting his clothes. Luffy just ran off in the direction of kitchen to ask Sanji for some meat.
âYeah, sure,â mumbled Zoro, still trying to make his clothes look normal.
âI know it may be personal, so if you donât want to answer, Iâll understand. I canât help but wonder... Are you and Sanji-san together?â
 ~*~
âFine, then itâs time for toughter ways.â Nami steeled her gaze, looking at closed box in her hands.
âAre you sure about it? You know you can just ask them and...â Usopp stopped, when he received murderous glare from the girl.
âYes, Iâm sure. And if you donât want to help, then just go back to ship!â
Sniper hesitated only for a moment. He turned back and ran off toward where Sunny was docked. Red haired rolled her eyes. Coward.
They reached small island, which looked uninhibited. It was perfect to gather some food, as said Sanji, who wander off into woods to look for some fruits. He should be back in no time, which meant Nami needed to hurry. She knew where Zoro was sleeping in the shadow of one of many trees. She made Usopp catch her a snake. It wasnât too venomous, girl knew that one. But it was enough to leave a biting mark. And that was all she needed. She was going to make them kiss!
She walked to sleeping swordsman and listened. Yeah, Sanji was coming this way. Good. She carefully opened lid and throw the snake in the direction of Zoro. Soon after that, the man woke up and moved his hand to his face, near his chin, wincing with unexpected pain. He then saw the snake and with his other hand he killed animal in the blink of an eye.
âWhat happened?â asked Nami, moving as if she just get there.
Zoro removed hands from his face and looked at it.
âIâm not sure, I guess it just bite me.â He shrugged and relaxed as if planning to go back to sleep.
âItâs bad! What if it was venomous!?â she asked loudly â loud enough for Sanji to hear.
âNami-san? Why are you shouting? Something happened?â he asked, only few seconds later appearing near them.
âZoro was bitten by snake. I think it may be venomous,â she informed.
âWe need to get you to Chopper, moss-head.â Sanji looked at swordsman with worry.
âNah, itâs ok. Itâs nothing dangerous. Iâll just go back to sleep and...â Zoro started but was interrupted.
âForget it, marimo! We are getting you to Chopper.â Cook glared at other man who just sighed.
âFine. If thatâll make you calm down...â Roronoa was going to get up, when Nami shook her head.
âThere is no time for that. Sanji, you have to suck that venom off,â she said with such cartainty she nearly belived herself.
âWhat?â The blond looked at her with frown. âYou sure, Nami-san?â
âI donât think this is good idea. We better find Chopper,â agreed Zoro.
âAnd what if itâll kill you before we get to Sunny? No, we need to do something now!â She put her hands on her hips.
Zoro rolled his eyes and Sanji looked between the two of them, before finally stepping closer to swordsman.
âFine, if you think so, Nami-san...â he looked carefully at tiny wound, wondering how to even start.
The girl watched with excitement, waiting for their reaction. Now it were no way it couldnât work!
      âStop it!â
And of course, life decided to prove her wrong. She looked behind herself to notice Chopper who were running toward them with Usopp behind him. Long nosem man looked slighly scared but it definitely was him who called their doctor. She should have thought about him!
âHey, Chopper, Marimo got bitten by some snake,â stated Sanji, taking step back.
âI know, Usopp told me!â Reindeer looked worriedly at his friends, then started looking for the animal that caused all of this. If it was indeed venomous, he should know what to start with.
âHe told you? How did he know in the first place?â Both Sanji and Zoro looked at sniper suspiciously.
âWhat is more important, you should never suck venom off. It could only make it worse!â Chopper finally spotted little reptile and sighed with relief. âIt wasnât venomous.â
âUh, thatâs great! Then we should all go back to ship!â exclaimed Nami, turning around and trying to get out.
âNami! What did you do?â asked Zoro, who just crossed his arms and stared at her.
âI think you should talk,â sighed Chopper. Then he shooke his head. âBefore it gets really dangerous.â
 ~*~
âSo? What was all that about?â asked Zoro, looking at his crew members with raised eyebrow.
They all gathered around table in the kitchen. Chopper called all of the crew. Sanji decided that it was perfect opportunity to do some snacks so he got a bowl and started mixing ingredients for croissants.
There was silence for few minutes, before Nami sighed in defeat and shooked her head.
âWe tried to make you two kiss,â she admited.
      âWe?â Usopp raised his eyebrow.
      âOk, I was.â
âKiss? Just that?â Roronoa looked more surprised than anything else.
He and Sanji looked at each other and they shrugged. Sanji set aside his bowl and take step ahead. Zoro cradled blond head lightly and then they kissed. But not just simple lip-to-lip touch, no! They deepened their kiss, by slightly arching their head and, what Nami was sure about, putting their tongues into othersâ mounth! After a minute or so, they finally pulled back, but didnât step away from one another, just standing with their chest brushing.
âYou taste like sweat and booze. Thatâs gross,â informed Sanji, calmly looking at swordsmanâs face.
âYou taste gross too.â Zoro shrugged nonchalantly. âLike tobacco and chocolate. You know I hate chocolate.â
      Sanji shrugged.
âThatâs why Iâm making some with fruits.â He then kissed green haired man once again, just brush of lips this time, and backed off. âOk, I need to finish this.â
Nami gawked at them, not really beliving what she just saw.
âYou⌠KissâŚâ She shooke her head. âAre you two together!? Like⌠Together, together!?â
Zoro sat back on his seat and take another gulp of his alkohol, like nothing just happened. He looked at her without understanding.
âYeah. You didnât know?â he asked.
âNo!â Nami exclaimed, completly ignoring Luffy, who nodded his head. âWhy didnât you said so?â
      Zoro shrugged.
âWe thought it was quite obvious.â
âBut⌠We tried to figure it out so muchâŚâ
âWhy didnât you just ask?â Roronoa held his glass near his lips â which only moments ago were on Sanjiâs! â and glance at her curiously. âOthers did.â
Rating: T (Again, just to be sure. I donât think there is something bad but itâs kinda angsty...? Panick attack and stuff)
Summary: Zoro has a lot of scars. It doesnât really matter for him. All of them are physical. Sanji, on the other hand, doesnât have much on his skin. His scars are way different. Hurt/comfort. Really short.
Authorâs note: If you see any mistakes, please let me know :) Have a nice day!
Zoro had a lot of scars. Some of them held important memories, others just were there, somehow appearing in one moment of his life or another. He didnât really pay attention to when or where he was getting hurt so it wasnât that surprise when he couldnât remember why he had some of them.
But those scars were only physical. Just some ugly lines on his skin. They werenât painful anymore. Didnât make him uncomfortable in any way, didnât make his life any harder. Sure, some people may think that those would make them looking worse, or maybe bring some unwanted memories. But it wasnât like that. His body looked like it was supposed to. Like the one of a warrior. Man who got hit, cut or shot and lived through it to tell tales about his victory. Who was stronger than those petty wounds, even if some of them were close to end his live.
His scars were only that to him. Nothing more, nothing less. But he knew physical scars werenât the only kind of scars that a person could have. Mental ones were far worse. He knew that for some time now.
Zoro woke up in the middle of night and at first he looked around groggilly, not knowing what it was that interrupted his sleep. It was still dark outside, and quiet. No screams, no shoots, no fighting sounds. So they werenât attacked.
It took him moment to notice silent sobs on his right. Oh. He turned to trembling Sanji, who hid face in his hands, trying to stay as quiet as he could as if not to disturb anyone. Idiot. Why did he always have to put others before himself?
âHey, itâs ok,â he whispered, trying to calm the blond and make sure he was expecting touch, before Zoro get any closer.
Swordsman rushed too much few times and it only made Sanjiâs panic attack worse. Like he was afraid his partner would harm him in any way! Zoro knew that the blond wasnât afraid of him but of memories of the ones who had hurt him in the past, but itâs still painful to see rejection from the one person he loved so much. At least he had learned how to treat his lover in those situations.
âSanji, itâs me.â He shifted closer to the cook, not yet touching him. âYouâre safe here. Iâm Zoro. Remember me?â he asked carefully.
Sanji seemed to actually think about it for a few seconds before finally giving a tentative nod. Roronoa sighed. This was a good sign.
âItâs ok, come here.â He gently touched blondâs forearm, at first only brushing skin there, then wraping his hand around and slowly peeling the arm from the cookâs face.
Sanji blinked few times, wearilly watching the other man, but then he seemed to recognize him.
âZoroâŚâ he wshispered, and swordsman pulled him to himself, wrapping his partner in a warm embrance.
âItâs ok now. Iâve got you. No one is going to hurt you here.â
They spend some time like that, just holding each other, with Zoro whispering some encouraging words and Sanji slowly calming down. Neither of them knew if it were minutes or hour, but when blond gently pulled off, he looked and feeled much better.
âThanks, marimo,â he tried to sound calm but his voice still trembled a bit. âSorry for waking you up. Again.â He looked away, embarrased.
âYou donât need to apologise, cook. Iâll just take nap later. And you know Iâm here for you, donât you?â Zoro smiled but his single eye showed how worried he was.
âYeahâŚâ Sanji sighed and leaned into the welcoming warmth once again. âYou canât resist sleeping in the middle of deck, where you can trouble everyone.â
âThatâs why you love me.â Light chuckle make Sanjiâs head move slightly because of where it was rest on swordsmanâs chest, but he didnât seem to mind.
âNo, thatâs the least why I love you.â
âOh? Then what is it that you love me the most for?â
âHmmmâŚâ Sanji seemed to think about it for a while. âPillow. Yeah, definitely because you are such a good pillow.â
Summary: Modern AU. Itâs their anniversary and Zoro want his gift for Sanji be perfect. And what is better than dog? (Two dogs, obviously.)
Authorâs note: Just some fluff because they deserve it. Probably there are some mistakes.
It was supposed to be the best gift ever. Zoro spend few weeks thinking about what he should buy for Cook. It was their fifth anniversary and it was supposed to be special. At least, that was what Nami keep talking about. Green haired man wasnât so sure about it but he knew Sanji liked romantic stuff like that so he would apprecieate gift. Hopefully.
The problem was: he didnât know what gift would be the best. He asked his friends, but they werenât too helpful. Luffy, of course, adviced him to buy some meat. Yeah, like giving the chef food would be great idea. Chopperâs first thought were sweets. Then he said that maybe something to help Sanji quit smoking. But cook enjoyed his ciggaretes and, to be honest, Zoro too started appreciate the taste of tobacco on blondeâs lips. Nami replied that money would be good present, but since they shared their money, it didnât seem like perfect choice too. And it would look like he was too lazy to think about something else. Robin suggested book, Franky yelled something what sounded like âsuper knifeâ, though Zoro couldnât be sure. Both werenât that bad idea but Roronoa didnât want his gift to be something so obvious and normal. Usopp mentioned that Sanji keep comlaining about dried herbs being not enough so some potted plants would be great. While it was a thing to consider, Zoro was sure he could get something even better. Brook told him to write a song for cook. It definitely would be something special, and perhaps romantic, but Zoro simple couldnât imagine himself singing for blonde. Or anyone. It was just⌠Not like him.
So he keep thinking and, because it helped him, wandering. It was on one of his many rounds around town - he didnât get lost, he needed time to think â he finally saw something that drew his attention. Sanji always wanted to have a dog â they both wanted one â but because of their small flat on seventh floor, they couldnât really have one. But they moved few mounth earlier into house with rather large garden. He walked into shelter and smiled to man behind counter.
âHello. Can I see your dogs?â
It was this day. Zoro left his job an hour earlier so he could first visit shelter and take puppy he choosed. The owner agreed to keep this one for few more days so green haired could pick him in the day of their anniversary.
Sanji was home too. He promised to cook something delicious so they could have nice dinner together and then just spend some time in each otherâs company. Zoro closed little golden retriever in the hall so he could greet his partner before his surprise. Thankfully, dog started sniffing shoes and didnât bark.
âWelcome home, Marimo.â Sanji smiled, seeing swordsman entering their kitchen. âYouâre on time today, first time not getting lost?â
      Zoro snorted.
âShut up, Dartbrow. Iâm not getting lost.â
âSure, you just keep choosing the longer path.â Blonde rolled his eyed but smiled when his partner came closer and kissed him gently.
âIâve got something for you, Cook. Come with me.â
Chef looked at stove where something deliciously smelling was boiling lazily.
âCanât it wait a bit longer? Dinner will be ready in a few minutes.â Sanji leaned back so he could be comfortable pressed against warm chest of his partner. He smiled, feeling two arms creeping around his waist and soft lips touching the back of his neck.
âWhile Iâd like to eat that already, I donât think he will wait patiently,â murmured Zoro.
      Chef turned around hearing that.
      âHe?â
Swordsman just chuckled and went to hall, knowing that his partner was following after him. He opened the door and watched with smile as dog ran happily toward blonde and startef sniffing his legs, wailing his tail. Golden retriever wouldnât be his first pick, but he knew Sanji loved those dogs. But instead of being happy, chef stared at puppy with shock in his eyes.
      âYou⌠bought me a dog?â
âUhm, yeah.â Zoro nervously shifted his weight. Maybe it wasnât the best idea after all? Maybe he should just buy some knife or meat? âYou always wanted a dog and since we have space for one now I thought it was good idea to⌠You know⌠Have oneâŚâ  he looked around not sure what to do or say. âYou donât like that?â
Sanji looke up and in his eyes there was still shock but also amusement. As if he saw something incredible funny. Was this idea really that terrible?
âI like it. A lot. I just didnât expect you toâŚâ he stopped, and shrugged. âI think you should just saw what I got for you.â
After that, chef turned around and headed to gardenâs door. Zoro went after him, feeling more interested than nervous. Sanji stepped out on the porch, looked around and then whistled. Afew seconds Zoro saw why his partner was so shocked. In their direction was running small brown and black furball. Young german shepard. Roronoaâs favourite dog.
âUhm, happy anniversary?â Blonde looked at the other man with nervous smile.
Green haired looked at two dogs, now sniffing each other, then at Sanji. He started laughing.
âSee, we think too alike.â He smiled and hugged his partner. âThey like each other.â
âThey better be. Now theyâll spent a lot of time together.â Sanji  too smiled and kissed his partner.
âHow will you name yours?â asked Zoro.
âHmmm, maybe Marimo, what do you think?â
      âSo Iâll call mine Eyebrow.â
      âOh, shut up, Marimo!â
      âRight after you, Eyebrow.â
Whith each world their faces were closer to each otherâs and it was when their lips nearly touched, when Sanji suddenly jumped back.
âI forgot about dinner,â he yelled and was about to ran to kitchen when Zoroâs hand grabbed his wrist.

Summary: Each person is afraid of something. There is that kind of fear that take away all of your will, leaving you helpless. Or so they say. Zoro donât know what he maybe afraid of.
Authorâs note: English isnât my first language and Iâm not very good at it so there may be lot of mistakes. If you see anything, please let me know so I could change it and not do it in the future. Also, I have no idea how dots and comas work in english, so they may be in strange places... Anyway, have a nice day :)
Everybody is afraid of something. Everybody has something that, when facing it, makes him weak and too scared to do anything. Just not everyone shows it to others. And in Straw Hat crew most people like to keep their secrets to themselves. Especially ones which could lead to their defeat.
Zoro wasnât sure what scared him the most. It wasnât like he spend hours thinking about that, but after Robin mentioned something like that, he couldnât resist to wonder. What was the thing that even thinking about it made him nervous? He never really faced situation when he was so scared he couldnât do nothing to defend himself. He was proud warrior, there wasnât much that could make him vulnerable. But then he remembered one situation when he couldnât move. He didnât think about it too much earlier, because the following actions were the ones which keep replaying in green haired head, but he still could feel the feeling of weakness and fear.
When Kuina beated him, holding real sword which could easily kill him, he frozed. He did nothing to fight back, to run away, to stop her. He just stood there, watching helplessly what girl would do. Just when she lowered her blade, he was back to himself. And then they made their promise, which he remembered so clearly.
Was he scared of being defeated? No, when he lost to Mihawk, he wasnât scared. He was ready to face whatever  fate had for him. But if it wasnât that, then what?
âKeep moving, Marimo, or Iâll leave you here!â Sanjiâs annoyed voice made him realize he was standing and staring at sky. He was supposed to follow Cook to the city.
âWho would carry all your bags then?â Zoro rolled his eyes but moved and started walking in the direction where town should be.
âIâll feed you to tigers and then use them. They should be more useful than you.â Cook smiled around his ciggarete.
âSure, but youâd have to beat me first. And that never gonna happen. You are too weak, shitty cook.â
âOh, you sure you want to test your theory, moss head?â
They glared at each other and were about to start yet another fight, when they both frozed and start looking around.
âYou felt that too, didnât you?â asked Sanji, trying to locate source of the feeling of being watched.
âYeah, we arenât alone anymore,â  agreed swordsman.
Nami warned them those woods were home for some kind of âwild peopleâ who apparently didnât like having guests. They couldnât dock at the port thought, because there was marine base nearby so she just send two of the strongest people hoping they would be able to manage that. It looked like they were about to find out.
âWatch out!â yelled Zoro, before they both ducked. In tree behind them was some kind of dart embed into tree.
âThat was close,â huffed Sanji, getting up and dusting off his clothes. âOi, stop hiding and come here!â
âI donât think they want to show themselves,â muttered Zoro, taking out his sword. âWe have to go get them by ourselves.â
âJust donât get lost, marimo,â teased Sanji, before running between some bushes.
âFuck off.â Zoro smiled to himself and he too went to look for their enemies.
Turned out, they were good at hiding. Swordsman was able to cut four of them after running around for an hour or even longer. He was getting impatient. It was annoying already.
âCook, we should think about something else if we want to get to town today,â he shouted hoping that blond could hear him. After few moments, he heard the reply.
âYeah, wait fo me where you are!â It was coming from far but Zoro understood words perfectly well.
He was about to argue but in the sime time another dart was thrown at him and he had to avoid it before defeating another man.
âYou better hurry before I lose my patience,â he yelled angrily.
It wasnât long after when Sanji showed up in front of him, little out of breath but looking good anyway.
âWe should just run to town. It would be less troublesome avoiding them than looking for them and fighting them one by one,â blond decided after making sure Zoro too loked alright, just a little annoyed.
âYeah, weâŚâ swordsman stopped when he noticed another dart thrown at Sanjiâs back. Cook didnât see it. It was stupid, one little object shouldnât be able to hurt someone like Sanji but Zoro moved either way and blocked weapon with his shoulder.
âThose fuckinâŚâ he muttered before cutting some trees with one of their enemies.
âWhy did you do that, Marimo?â asked Sanji, looking at him with surprise and shame. He didnât like the idea of Zoro, of all people, protecting him.
âOh, you know, you wereâŚâ he started, pulling dart out of his shoulder, before stopping abruptly. âYouâŚâ he tried again, but felt how his knees bend dangerously. âShit, what is it?â
âWhat is what?â Sanji furrowed his eyebrow, not knowing what was going on. Then swordsmanâs legs gave out and the man fell on the ground. âZoro, whatâs going on?â He asked, catching him before he could hurt himself.
âI donât know. It has to be some kind of poisonâŚâ he muttered, not being able to move any of his limbs.
âShit, hold on, Iâll take you to Chopper.â Sanji looked worried.
Zoro only nodded, feeling how his throat gave up too. Whatever they injected him with, it was strong. Swordsman was lifted and moved, but he couldnât do anything. He felt it was getting hard to breath. His heart started pounding in his chest louder. He tried to calm himself to made his body to move, his lung to work, but nothing worked.
And then he remembered that feeling. It wasnât the poison. Well, it wasnât only the poison. It was fear. It was that kind of fear, what Robin told him about. The paralizing kind of fear, that take away all of his strenght.
He wasnât afraid of being defeated. No, what he was afraid of, was loosing control. To not be able to control his own body, which he always trained so hard, made sure it always did what he wanted it to and nothing less. And here he was, not being able to move a single finger.
When he understood that, it was much easier. Usopp always fough his fears so why couldnât Zoro do the same thing? He concentrated on breathing and while it was still hard â his muscles didnât work the way they were supposed to â he could feel himself relaxing.
âCook,â he managed to rasp out, despite the poison still in his veins. âItâs getting⌠hard to breath⌠hurry.â
âBear it a little longer.â Sanji gritted his teeth, running even faster. He dodged all darts thrown at them. âJust donât die here, marimo. Iâll laugh at you, if you die because of something like that.â
âYou wouldnât be able to survive as long as I,â replied Zoro, though his vocal cords started to give up too.
âI wouldnât survive at all, because you would get lost before you could get back on ship.â Blond smirked and waited for reply. But there was only silence.
He ran faster than he thought was possible. He needed Chopper, now. Losing his swordsman right now wasnât even an option. He had to survive!
âDonât worry, Iâll save you. Just bear it a little longer. Please,â he whispered, feeling few tears leaving his eyes.
Zoro heard that. He was consious, just couldnât do anything to let Sanji know that he was ok. He couldnât speak, move, do anything. He just concentrated on breathing. It was getting harder and harder, but hearing Sanjiâs assuring voice made him less scared so he could fight with the poison. Yeah, thatâs right. He didnât have to worry about losing control when others where near him. When⌠when Sanji was near him.
He felt when they reached Merryâs deck. He heard how Sanji called Chopper, how little doctor started panicking. Then something was put on his mouth and he felt fresh air in his lungs again. Little sting in his shoulder and after few minutes, he was able to open his eyes and look at his crew. Some kind of plastic mask with attached bag was held against his mouth and Sanji keep pumping it. Looked like it was the thing that helped him breath earlier.
âYeah, Iâm fine,â he muttered, lifting his hand to let everyone know that he indeed was fine.
âIt was dangerous, Zoro.â Chopper moved closer to bed. âIt was kind of poison that makes your muscles unable to contract. You could suffocate while still being consious!â
       Sanji frozed, hearing that.
âConsious?â he repeated, looking worriedly at Chopper.
âYeah, it didnât take away his conciousness. He just couldnât move, speak or breath.â
âThatâs right, cook.â Swordsman grinned. âI heard everything.â
âI think we should leave them alone,â chuckled Robin, motioning for everybody to leave room.
Nami only nodded, Luffy shouted something about food and ran out. Usopp looked surprised but moved anyway. Chopper made sure Zoro was okay and then left too. In infirmary it left only Zoro and Sanji.
âSo⌠you heard, huh?â Blond looked away.
âHow you cried? Yes, I heard that.â Zoro smiled and gently touched Sanjiâs wrist. âThanks for that. If not for you, I donât think I would be able to survive that long.â
       âWhy?â Cook looked at him.
âDo you remember what Robin told us about? About that everybody has something they are afraid of?â Sanji nodded, not sure where it was going. âI guess I found out what I was afraid of.â
       âDarts?â
âShut up.â Zoro rolled his eyes. âNot darts. Being vulnerable. But you made me realise, I didnât need to worry about it because you got my back. So I just concentrated on breathing to buy you some time.â
âHmmm.â Sanji smirked. âI was hoping for something better than âbeing vulnerableâ. How am I suppose to use that against you?â
       Zoro rolled his eyes.
âYou canât. You need to defeat me first and we both know itâs not going to happen.â
âAre you sure about that, marimo?â
And before they could actually start fighting, the room entered Nami.
âIf you can fight, then you can as well go to town already! We need supplies!â she yelled, looking threatingly at both men, before leaving them once again.
âI think we should go for that food,â decided Sanji. âChopper prepared some medicines against this poison so we should be alright.â
âIâll cut all of them before they can get near me again.â Zoro angrilly got up and moved toward door. Just before he was able to grab the handle, he felt Sanjiâs hand on his shoulder.
       âDarkness,â he said.
âHuh?â Zoro looked at him without understanding.
âYou told me, what you are afraid of. I think itâs only fair if you know that too.â Cookâs eyed were on everything but on swordsmanâs face.
âAnd I thought it were spiders,â he snickered. âDonât worry, cook. Weâll buy some candles.â
âShut up already! We wasted enough time!â
