Well, well, well, do I ever have a life update for y'all! So recently I went and did my gyno appointment and when we got to the pelvic exam, my doctor wasn’t even checking for 30 seconds when he frowns and says “you have fibroids. Are you not in pain?” When I told him no, he gave me a look that can only be described as “what the fuck?”
He immediately scheduled me for a vaginal ultrasound for a week later. As soon as the tech inserted the ultrasound wand and the images came on the screen she goes “Whoa. Are you not in pain?” I think you get the point. The biggest ones they could see are about four inches wide, one is pushing on my colon, the other one(s) are basically giving me the uterus of someone who is four months pregnant. If I took a picture of my stomach rn it looks like congratulations are in order, lol.
We discussed my options and decided on an abdominal myomectomy, scheduled for next month. Ok, cool. Not really the way I want to spend my summer, but what are you gonna do. BUT THEN! I get a voicemail from the scheduler who informs me that I have to pay $1200 deposit due at my pre-op appointment on 7/6 and it’s too bad no one was around to film my reaction to THAT shit. I called the next day and was given the option of putting $800 down and they’ll try and bill my insurance company for the rest.
So the point of this is ya girl needs a little help. Not gonna lie, I don’t expect to raise the full 1200 but every little bit helps. Even if I get 3-400, I should be able to cover the rest myself.
