Fruity Four Fandom, I believe in you. Redeem yourselves. Come back and Acknowledge Jonathan. You can do it I know you can.
#the duffers finally remembered steve isn't just a pretty face
Anti-Anti-Stancy Part 2
Okay, I'm ready for round number 2 of Stancy vs Stranger Things Fandom.
Special mention to @dreamfinder83 who pointed this out in the comments of my previous list : "Steve doesn't care about Nancy's dream only his own."
"As if their conversation wasn't interrupted and then never finished." That's a perfect way to put it. God, I hated how Nancy never had to speak to Steve in season 5. They just made Steve and Joanthan decide for her. So much for the strong girl, who can't even speak from her heart to two guys. Also Steve is not selfish. Even in season 1, he cared. I mean, a guy who only cared about his own dream would not let Nancy go so easily in season 2. Not to much he told her he was the MOST IMPORTANT PART. I'm sure, Jancy fans will be annoying to hear this line over and over but yeah, they keep bringing up the "Six children, sound like a total nightmare" line as if it matters at all.
"Dustin is right to call out Steve for homewrecking Jancy"
I wish people stop using Season 5 to bash on Stancy. First of all, everything in Season 5 is just a retcon on everything that people hated on Season 4, in a desperate way to please fans. Second of, Dustin was laughing and teasing Steve when he showed he still has feelings on Nancy. Third, in this season tried to make us believe that Steve just moved on her feelings with Nancy off-screen. So, following this logic, Steve was genuinely helping as a friend. So yeah, your desperate attempts to bash a ruined couple with great potentiels don't work.
"So people are mad at Jonathan for taking pictures, while he apologizes, but not Steve, who slut-shamed Nancy and didn't apologize?!"
Okay, one, only something who never had his/her privacy ruined would ask this. Two, Jonathan's excuse is that he just wanted to see the real her. This implies that he constantly takes pictures to people without consent if he knows he would see the "real her" by doing this. Three, he needed to take in her underwear, have it developed and got caught by Steve, his friends and Nancy to realize what he did was wrong. Four, Steve got slapped for it, while Jonathan got away scott-free. Five, Steve was on his way to Jonathan's home to apologize to him and you think he didn't apologize to Nancy after Season 1. Nancy wouldn't have get back with him if he didn't make any effort. Come on!
"Nancy only stayed with Steve out of remorse for Barb."
She stayed in one year with the guy she chose Barb out of remorse over for Barb! ONE YEAR! Seriously?! I just can't with this argument, I really can't! Did people forget that Nancy was happy with her relationship with Steve before Barb's death. She was smiling by thinking about him, was in control on their relationship, had a good time with his friends, slowly felt more confident (she wanted to keep their relationship secret but kissed him at school in front of her locker.) Nancy stayed with Steve because she really wanted to make their relationship work. Barb didn't make her come back to him, she makes him break up with him.
That's all for today. I have to go to work. See you later!
nancy always running from steve because he was the one who, at the very least, had a glimpse of her before everything—before she left for boston and before everything fell apart and before she was very much so traumatized (!!!!!!) and before life snatched girlhood away and before barb died—and that shit be terrifying! someone who got a good look of you before, fell in love with you and everything they saw, and STAYED IN LOVE THROUGH ALL THE THINGS THAT CHANGED YOU FOR THE BETTER AND WORSE TO THE EXTENT THAT IT CHANGES THEM TOO send tweet

Script Analysis and the Interpretation of "Steve Showing Off"
Based on the function of a script in film and television production, it is important to distinguish between production instructions and audience interpretation. A screenplay is primarily a working document designed to guide actors, directors, and the production team. It contains dialogue, scene descriptions, action lines, and occasional character directions that help shape the performance before filming takes place.
Because of this function, script notes should not automatically be treated as direct evidence of a character's inner psychology or definitive personality traits. Rather, they serve as production tools that assist actors and directors in constructing a scene.
The action line Steve "showing off" provides a useful example. Within the context of a screenplay, "showing off" is an acting direction that communicates a general behavior or attitude that the actor should portray. It does not necessarily provide a complete explanation of Steve's motivation, emotional state, or psychological condition. The phrase could be interpreted in several ways, including confidence, playfulness, flirtation, attention-seeking behavior, or insecurity. The script itself does not establish one interpretation as unquestionably correct.
Furthermore, audiences do not experience the screenplay directly. What viewers ultimately analyze is the finished audiovisual text, which is shaped by acting choices, directing, cinematography, editing, music, and narrative context. Therefore, any interpretation of a character should be supported not only by script excerpts but also by what is actually presented on screen.
This distinction becomes particularly relevant in fandom discussions. For example, the phrase "Jonathan who?" (Even though we know that this could actually be a fake script, because after I looked into it again, there are two possibilities: genuine or fake, but the disclaimer from here can also be used as an example. I also didn't find a photo of the script though iykyk) appearing in a script for Nancy should not necessarily be read as a literal statement of Nancy's internal thoughts. Like many screenplay annotations, it functions as a shorthand production note intended to communicate tone, emphasis, or performance. Treating such notes as direct access to a character's mind risks confusing production language with narrative evidence.
As another example, maybe here Eddie looks like he could be said to be jealous or anything else. But in this case we don't read the script like we read a novel.
Consequently, while scripts can provide valuable contextual information, they should not be regarded as definitive proof of a character's intentions, emotions, or personality. Script notes are best understood as production guidance rather than objective psychological descriptions. Character analysis should therefore prioritize the final on-screen performance and the broader narrative context in which the scene appears.
A script is an important source for understanding characterization, but it should not be treated as the sole source of interpretation. The final meaning of a scene is shaped through the interaction of the screenplay, directing, acting performance, editing, and the broader narrative context. Therefore, script directions should be considered one piece of interpretive evidence rather than definitive proof that excludes alternative readings or interpretations.

This person is so weird. They keep commenting on Stancy tag when nobody even tagged Jancy. I've only been on Tumblr for a short time, but even I know it's kind of rude to jump into a post with something completely unrelated.
And yeah, it's social media, nobody can control what people do except maybe block them if they don't want to see it.
What's even more annoying is that this person keeps contradicting themselves. The other day they said, "I don't want to argue on someone else's post," yet they keep leaving comments that are clearly meant to start an argument. If you genuinely don't want to argue, then just don't comment.
And now they're getting even more frustrating. To me Jonathan would've had no chance with Nancy without the Upside Down. and Honestly they're ridiculous. Based on everything we've seen, Steve is the one who had the best chance with Nancy because he actually put in the effort. And let's not forget Nancy literally described her type in season 4. People keep saying she was talking about Jonathan, but not a single thing she mentioned actually matches him. If anything, it sounds a lot more like Steve.
It's honestly funny. So loud, so confident, and still wrong. I'd be embarrassed if I were them. 😭💀
“calll me when he breaks your heart next summer
baby, i’ll be waiting here
call me when you're all fucked up, my lover
and i’ll be there to lick your tears
you had to throw away our love
to find out nothing's as good as us
so call me when he breaks your heart next summer”
damnnnnnnnnnn so stancy
